@trena H been using it for about a week and it really makes my skin feel super nice but weird cause it doesn’t foam and feels like it isn’t going much. But it legit took alll my oils away and kept the acne at bay :)) my face feels matte now

I have oily combination skin and am in need of a long wear foundation. Currently using Clinique stay matte and it just looks cakey to me and doesn’t last well. Opinions on any high end foundations for oily skin? Thinking about trying out Chanel.

hey! i have the same issue. except my skin is a bit sensitive so i use more of all natural products. in the morning, for cleanser i use Lush’s Aquamarina. after i use their toner Breathe of Fresh Air. then use an eye cream &’ moisturize with @Clear Improvement Pore Clearing Moisturizer With Bamboo Charcoal . my night routine i use the same cleanser, @Extra Gentle Daily Scrub every other night only because it’s not as harsh as other scrubs, my toner from Lush (name up top) , eye cream and this serum which helps with redness, blemishes, and literally ANYTHING you can think of, it’s the link above and i do that every night

my skin has been oily for years, i would get a pimple here and there when i usually ate one chocolate, skin has always been on the bumpy side though, and i have alot of uneven skin tone. now to try to get rid of the oils and bumpiness my sister recommend using the body shop tea tree soap, then the body shot vitamin c scrub and them the tea tree face mask and to sleep in it. i tried it and got chemical burn, completely broke me out and make my skin more sensitive to everything, i used to be able to use estee lauder double wear and now even that breaks me out. ive tried all the vitamins everyone has recommended, i tried clinique, stirvectin, hydrolic acid, now im on cerave the light blue bottle face wash, i tone put the hydrolic serum and face moisturizer im so close to giving up, my face just looks horrible now i have alot of scarring, still bumpy and red. its embarrassing, any recommendations welcomed!!

@Sandra Rivera having a good skin care regimen is always important. Making sure you cleanse and moisturize every morning and cleansing and toning every night as well. I’m using DermAware products right now for my whole skin care regimen. Has the dermatologist ever recommended chemical peels?

Help!!! I have tried so much full coverage foundations on my combination skin only to have a legit T when I go home. Can anyone recommend a foundation that will not wipe away and will cover up my muddy looking freckles?? I’ve tried Clinique foundcealer, mayebelline superstay, fire me pore and matte, and revlon color stay.

Toner helps remove: the traces of makeup, excess dirt, and excess oil. Also balances the ph in your skin and helps to prevent acne.

I’m looking to try a new foundation, something not wildly expensive and without fragrance- safe for sensitive skin. I have acne prone combination skin leaning towards the dry side. Clinique has been my go to for years but I’m curious if there’s a better fit for me. Anyone have any recommendations?

This one is my favorite. one of the few that don’t irritate my skin, and it wears beautifully! Pacifica alight clean foundation is my second favorite with a high coverage that has more shade options. It doesn’t bother my skin, but if you have a sensitivity to coconut I would hold on to the receipt just in case for The pacifica foundation.

Okay I have tried so many foundation lately, and like nothing. 😭 I tried Estée Lauder double wear since EVERYONE swears by.. it broke me out terribly (yes it was the foundation I switched nothing else and waited for my skin to clear before trying it again). Other foundations I’ve tried below...suggestions please prefer a matte finish. -Dior forever -Clinique Stay matte - Too Faced Born this way -Urban Decay all nighter

If you haven’t tried this yet it’s pretty good, it has really good coverage and what I consider to be a more matte finish, and it works well with most skin types.

Looking for a good skincare routine for very oily skin with a lot of texture, large pores, and black heads. I only have acne around my menstrual cycle but other than that I’m pretty much acne free. Just looking for something to really smooth out my skin and get rid of my pores! I’ve tried most skincare products and some high ends as well. Currently using Kate Somerville Exfolikate Cleanser, Orgins Matte moisturizer, and Clinique toner. The orgins moisturizer is probably the only product I’m in love with out of the three. Tia!

I have struggled with oily skin for the past few 2 years and have found that oily skin comes from a lack of water and moisture in the skin. Which lead me to look into brands with hydrating ingredients that was also not harmful for my sensitive skin. I came across cerave which my dermatologist also recommended and have been using the sa cleanser and moisturing lotion and it has helped greatly! i recommend applying the moisturizer while your face is still damp to lock in the moisture.

Anyone have like a model skincare routine for skin like this? My current routine is 2 types of makeup remover (miscelliur water and makeup wipe) then a neutragena gentle acne cleanser, allure brightening facial scrub (every other day), Clinique acne spot treatment then it cosmetics moisturizer and eye cream. I feel my routine isnt ideal cause I know NOTHING about skincare. I prefer more on like the drugstore side of things. Anything helps!

I have oily T Zone bad. By the middle of the day I am super shiny and oily. I have used Clinique Beyond Perfecting I love it but turns me orange after awhile. I have used Too Faced Peach Mattifyjng. I want to try Fenty Mattifyjng. I just want to know the best for oily skin. Even drug store recommendations would be ok. But I tend to break out on the cheaper foundations. I want full coverage as well. So far the Too Faced Peach is the best so far but willing to try other. I am sick of being shiny by middle of day and having to use my Beauty Blender blotters. I use E.L.F poreless putty primer or W n W Matte Priner so priner reco would be good too. I also use Clinique setting powder. Just help sick of being Oily. Oh! And I use Born This Way full cover Concealor. I was using De-Slick UD Setting Spray as well but now use E.L.F Matter spray. So any and all reco please for all the above! TIA

I have super oily skin my t zone is even worse. I also have super sensitive skin. I use the body shop’s seaweed line (it’s for oily skin) in conjunction with with the tea tree line for when I’m having acne. But I literally load up on anything and everything the is “mattifying” or is matte for moisturizers and primers. I also bake. Even my foundations are matte. I don’t use everything in the picture all together but these are the products I’ve found work for me and my acne prone skin. Depending on the day and how much makeup I wear and whether or not I’m having a breakout kind of determines with group I use. When I’m not breaking out and I’m just gonna wear a a sheer coverage foundation or a BB cream, the elf+ matte line works well with the elf oil control primer mist. I have classes from 8 in the morning and then work until 6 in the afternoon and usually don’t get home until 7ish and my makeup lasts. When I get home I usually notice that I’m getting oily but it’s not a gross looking oily, I look “luminous” on my t zone. When I’m wearing full coverage foundation I use the body shop line. But, I also feel like the heavier the products you use, the more oil your skin is going to produce. Which means your makeup isn’t going to last as long. On my full coverage days I usually carry around blotting mist, blotting powder, and blotting paper as well. Generally if I can get away with it, I stick with sheer coverage foundations. If I want a little more coverage I’ll add some full coverage foundation to my sheer coverage but not a lot. Just so that I can keep it as light as possible. I’ll also use powder foundations in conjunction with liquid sheer coverage. Sorry that was so much but I hope it helps!!!

I forgot to add, one thing I really like about the elf+ matte lotion and primer is that it has tea tree oil in it to help fight acne. Tea tree oil has become my holy grail for acne!

have you tried using a matte primer? I have oily skin & my foundation used to rub off & my face would look shiny after only a couple hours of wear. But once I started using this primer my makeup stays on almost all day & there’s barely any shine :) it takes any shininess away the second you put it on your face!!

does anyone have any recommendations to help with my acne? i have combo skin leaning towards dry and i get little bumps everywhere no matter what i do. should i use a toner or a different face wash? i currently use the clinique intense moisture surge and the fresh rose toner. is that too much moisture at once?

girl i’ve been having the same problems but i’ve finally found something that works for me...i also have combo skin that leans towards the dry side, and have found that the Burt’s Bees Daily Moisturizing Cream for Sensitive Skin helps with that, without adding excess oil to the skin. for blemishes, i just started using the Natural Acne Solutions Maximum Strength Spot Treatment Cream, and it seems to be working great. i’ve used it for about four days now, and i’ve already started noticing a difference in my skin. a toner may be a good idea to incorporate into your skincare routine, i use the Clinique Clarifying Lotion. & the face wash i use (mostly just to remove makeup and feel refreshed in the morning) is the Clinique Liquid Facial Soap. as far as exfoliating goes, i think you should stick to 2-3 times a week. over exfoliating can damage the skin & cause inflammation/irritation/etc. so in my opinion, i think that less is always more when it comes to exfoliation! hope this helped girl, keep me updated!
