loved it

First of I should mention I have pretty oily skin like really oily! But around my eye area and hallows of my cheeks I'm dry (weird spots but w.e lol) I usually use primers that are matte and just moisturize on dry areas and use a matte foundations only (the struggle of being a girl and wanting a good makeup application). At first I thought this primer wouldn't work for me at all one for its consistency and the gold glitter flakes in it usually silicone primers don't work for my oily skin but I was wrong. I moisturized and applied it on my skin I saw almost instantly how my skin looked so much smoother whatever texture or lil bumps and pores I have that I saw in my magnifying mirror were pretty much gone!!! It's like a smooth filter for the fave in a magical bottle!!! A little of it goes a very long way so apply cautiously don't wanna go over board. I did use a matte foundation and it lasted almost all day I just powdered my T zone once. I would definitely recommend just if you are oily use a matte foundation or moisturizer. « less

Not for oily skin sisters

Pros- Packaging and spatula applicator. - Leaves skin feeling very smooth - Does not accentuate dry patches Cons- Does absolutely nothing for my pores - Does not prolong the wear of my makeup - Does not even out my skintone - Not compatible with oily skin - Outrageous price I would recommend this for someone with dry skin that wants an extra layer of moisture and a smooth feel on the skin. I would recommend that you try it out for yourself at your Sephora store.

heavenly

I cannot begin to express how much I love this. When I ordered a birthday gift for my mom, I chose this as my promotion deluxe sample and I am so glad I did. I am plagued with dull, blotchy, dry, and sometimes flakey teenage skin. My foundations always end up looking cakey and fake after an hour or two. I figured what the heck I would feel glamorous wearing anything YSL as I have never owned such high end products. I was worried the gold flecks would look like glitter, but once I tried it out, all my worries were put aside and I fell in love. This fills in my dry patches and softens them, blurs away imperfections, makes my skin look healthy/luminous, improves my foundation finish/wear, smells divine, and by itself makes my skin feel softer and smoother. And, a little goes a long way, so I will have time to put together the money to buy the full size before I run out. It is so glamorous and wonderful if you have dry skin or normal skin this could be your holy grail. I wouldn't recommend it for oily skin types because it definitely will slip off you, as it really is best for drier skin types. Less

I think I'm a convert....

I got a sample of this long ago and used it a few times without being super impressed. I typically prefer more mattifying primers as my skin is very dry and I usually use heavy-duty moisturizers that leave my skin super shiny. (I LOVE the blur perfector YSL offers but I go through it much too quickly to justify the price.) However, I just whipped this baby out again for summer as the drugstore primer I was using left a bit of white cast on my face. I don't know if this works better with the new moisturizer I'm using, but I am really enjoying the soft, dewy finish this leaves with a touch of gold sparkle. I also think this is much better at blurring pores & lines than the typical silicone primer (ahem, smashbox). I don't wear foundation or concealer, so this is perfect for glowy, summery skin! I also think this should last QUITE awhile as the sample tube i have is .33 oz and i have barely dented it with several uses. Definitely buying the full size when my sample is out!! « less

Favourite Primer!

This months i was lucky to try Touch Eclat Blur Primer. I tried many primer in the past who do very well in smoothing the skin and preparing it for make up. The YSL Primer certainly does that too, but has a unique selling point: it contains what’s needed to illuminate my skin without making it shiny. You will love it!My pros:-A little goes a long way! Just a small amount works in the whole face, leaving your skin smooth, matte and illuminated!-It leaves the skin so smooth and perfected that you can also wear it on his own on your “no make up day” ;-)And as it is Touch Eclat, it won’t dull your skin tone but on the contrary lift it for the whole day, giving it this healthy look we all want!-It makes the foundation stay longer: for those long days, I use YSL All Hours Fondation so I must admit that I have no issues with make up fading through the day. But in those days where I use a BB cream or a lighter foundation, i noticed the difference when i use the primer. My skin stay smooth, prepared and fresh all day.-The illuminating effect: that is probably the biggest difference you will see with other primer out there. They don’t have this Touch Eclat effect! We all want to look naturally healthy with a glowing skin however not shiny. I cannot go back to previous primer! I just love this boosted effect on my skin! Addiction Alert!Cons: Well not much. It is quite pricey but as you only need a tiny bit, you can view this as an investment. You won’t regret the purchase! Less
