Has anyone with hormonal acne tried Youth To The People's Superberry Hydrate + Glow Dream Mask with Vitamin C? Is it worth it?

The best thing I can recommend for hormonal acne is talking to your doctor about getting on birth control pills. I had the same problem for years until my doctor decided to put me on them and my skin has never been clearer. I still have a normal skin routine but the birth control pills helped so much!

Does anyone have a favorite night time moisturizer??? I currently using and almost done with Youth To the People Adaptogen Deep Moisture Cream and I do love it but I’m kind of itching for something new! I have combo skin but in the winter it is drier than normal

The FAB Intense Hydration is my moisturizer for AM and PM, and does an amazing job! My skin gets really dry after I wash it (salicylic), and this hydrated my skin, but absorbs well and doesn’t sit on top. It’s also meant for sensitive skin, and it has never irritated me.

@Miriam Mazor seconded! This one is good, and even though it seems expensive it’s a huge tub/ tube depending what size you get

I currently use the youth to the people toner, but am thinking of trying the inn beauty project toner or the glossier toner. Any suggestions?

Indie Lee, youth to the people, or another brand?! What is the best “clean” facial care brand?! I am 21 starting to get acne on my chin and cheeks that hurt and are super red! Also any recommendations for AM and PM routines! ❤️

tea tree facial cleanser work wonders, i use the body shop one & try to dry cleanse, so apply your cleanser directly to your face without water and massage it into your skin for a good 30 seconds & then rinse💖💖

I’ve recently broke out from the youth to the people cleanser and have really been looking for a good cleanser that can not clog my pores. I have combination skin but during this winter season I have been really dry, I’m open to trying luxury and drugstore brands!

Oh and also blush, I tend to always put it in the wrong place and I’m kinda stuck....any suggestions for where I put my blush? Sorry for the long post. Hope I get some help.

So im going to a pool party this weekend and don’t want to show up in a bare face. What are some drug store products that you’d recommend for a more natural look for a day at the pool??

Currently searching for products to use on my birthday and I need advice on primers, longwearing foundations, concealers and powders with no flashback. So far I’m interested in trying Charlotte Tilbury’s most recent foundation and the pressed powder. Any luxury recommendations that are worth the splurge and hold up on combo/oily skin? I struggle with a lot of shine mainly between my brows and around my nose :)

Since I am going back to school pretty soon. I am now comfortable enough to wear noticeable makeup. I’m think about getting the soft glam pallet for some eye shadow looks. What is your opinion on the soft glam pallet? Is it worth buying?

GIRL the soft glam palette is soooooo nice!!!! I use it a lot more because of the brown. BUT! If you want a cheaper ever day palette that’s SUPER similar to the soft glam palette I suggest either the morph 35O palette. 35O-$35 , soft glam-$42 either one are great pallets!!! Trust and believe girl!!

I have dry, acne prone skin and I have been trying everything to get rid of my acne for the past year! nothing works (curology, neutrogena light mask, acne washes, tea tree oil, mario badescu- you name it!) does anyone have any recommendations for a natural at home remedy for acne? I’m done with all the chemicals ingredients on my face.

I know you said no chems but the only thing that worked for me was 1 session of a chemical peel (ask for 7 layers) and drink ONLY water in place of any other beverage. ONLy WaTeR!! Don’t believe me, look at my before and afters. Still can’t believe it’s me. - 1 session of a strong chemical peel -Drink Water ONLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! -Oxy gently in circular motions until face starts feeling tingly. -and an oil free moisturizer! Let me know how it goes! Good luck!

Honestly I did like three to four different sessions of chemical peels and they really were life changing. Unfortunately for me my acne continued so I went on Accutane

I’ve asked for recommendations for foundations a bit lately but I always ask for drugstore products. Now I’m just asking for any suggestions for foundations for dry skin, my go to has been e.l.f. Flawless Finish Foundation but now with the weather changing even it’s looking kind of dry and flaky on me, even though I’ve switched to my thick moisturizer and prep my skin thoroughly beforehand. I really want to find a foundation with good coverage that’s also very hydrating and I just haven’t had any luck with any I’ve tried so far, so any suggestions are much appreciated.

With so many people moving into serums and acids just a reminder: You should NOT mix these VITAMIN C + AHAS/BHAS : Combining retinol with Vitamin C is a recipe for peeling, redness and irritation, in short, a total disaster for the health of your skin RETINOIDS + AHAS/BHAS: damages skin moisture barrier and can cause irritation, redness, dry skin over time; use separately and sparingly RETINOIDS + VITAMIN C: may cause over exfoliation, resulting in increased skin and sun sensitivity; separate into day/night routines Benzoyl peroxide + vitamin C OIL-BASED + WATER-BASED. GLYCOLIC ACID + SALICYLIC ACID: too many acids can strip the skin and damage its ability to recover NIACINAMIDE + VITAMIN C: use in careful moderation. Some studies show that They stabilize each other some shoe that mixing vitamin c can result in a niacin flush (red irritation to the skin). -Retinols should mostly be used at night - Vitamin C should mostly be used at night -Wait 20 mins when layering multiple serums (if you find your skin can tolerate it in one setting) -Don’t forger your SPF 30 during the day -When introducing acids to your face “purging” is only normal to a certain extent

These are references telling you how antioxidants differ from acids. And that all do not exfoliate.

I have combination acne prone skin. I am experiencing some dryness and irritation around my mouth. I use CeraVe Foaming Facial Cleanser, this niacinamide serum, spf moisturizer in the morning and CeraVe Daily Moisturizer at night, and the AHA and BHA Ordinary Chemical peel at night 1 time a week. I am wondering if anyone else has had problems with irritation from any of these products. Am I supposed to be applying the serums around my mouth?

I have combo skin too and discovered that when my skin was dried out and dehydrated it lead to more break outs. I upped my moisturizer and it helped a lot. Maybe try the Cerave Night Moisturizer? And a gentler cleanser.

@JustineAylward yes yes yes yes yes!!!! The hydrating cleanser is a must have in every medicine cabinet!!!!!! This cleanser is choc full of ceramides that will rebuild the skin and lipid barrier. Also, maybe try the CeraVe Moisturizer Pm. It’s super lightweight and will help with redness. Lastly, pls bring your niacinamide all the way down to your lips! It’s a great soothing and healing ingredient. For more healing ingredients, you can look for kaolin clay, colloidal oats, seaweed, honey, Centella Asiatica.

What is a good moisturizer for oily skin? I typically don’t use moisturizer because my face is already oily but in the winter it does start to dry out a little bit and I use topical acne medication that sometimes dries it out as well.

Hi! I used to skip moisturizer as well because my skin is so oily. However, I came to learn that skipping moisturizer simply makes you produce more oil because you’re not hydrating your skin. I really like 3 moisturizers, all within different price ranges. The Simple light moisturizer is a really nice one for the day before makeup application. It’s about $4 for a little pouch, and the pouch lasts about 2 months if you use a pea size amount. The Glow Recipe Watermelon Juice moisturizer is very light weight as well and works nicely during the day— $39. At night (and sometimes during the day if I’m not wearing make up) I use the Drunk Elephant Protink Polypeptide moisturizer. It’s super rich and hydrating and has really made a difference in how oily I wake up in the morning. It’s in the pricier side, $68. Marula oil works wonders for those dry patches you are experiencing from the topical medication. I use it at night on any dry patches I have and the next morning it’s practically gone. Hope this helps!
