What’s your skin care routine? Just trying to figure out when I should exfoliate and/or apply moisturizer

You should exfoliate after using your cleanser. I use cerave foaming cleanser it’s good. You should moisturize when you’re finished doing everything like applying toner, acids( salicylic, hyaluronic, lactic etc) or whatever you use after cleansing and exfoliating. If you don’t have any of those it’s fine, just skip to your moisturizer.

Anyone know of a concealer that’s not drying but will cover dark circles? Dark circles are in my genes so mine are pretty dark, and I haven’t found one yet that I am completely happy with. Then there’s also the fact that my skin under my eyes is super dry and can get bumps/bubbles when I apply certain concealers. Thanks! #concealer #dryskin #darkcircles

With so many people moving into serums and acids just a reminder: You should NOT mix these VITAMIN C + AHAS/BHAS : Combining retinol with Vitamin C is a recipe for peeling, redness and irritation, in short, a total disaster for the health of your skin RETINOIDS + AHAS/BHAS: damages skin moisture barrier and can cause irritation, redness, dry skin over time; use separately and sparingly RETINOIDS + VITAMIN C: may cause over exfoliation, resulting in increased skin and sun sensitivity; separate into day/night routines Benzoyl peroxide + vitamin C OIL-BASED + WATER-BASED. GLYCOLIC ACID + SALICYLIC ACID: too many acids can strip the skin and damage its ability to recover NIACINAMIDE + VITAMIN C: use in careful moderation. Some studies show that They stabilize each other some shoe that mixing vitamin c can result in a niacin flush (red irritation to the skin). -Retinols should mostly be used at night - Vitamin C should mostly be used at night -Wait 20 mins when layering multiple serums (if you find your skin can tolerate it in one setting) -Don’t forger your SPF 30 during the day -When introducing acids to your face “purging” is only normal to a certain extent

These are references telling you how antioxidants differ from acids. And that all do not exfoliate.

@Ayan Qureshi you go to one website which is Paulas choice and not any other website that was reviewed by a dermatologist .. no where does it says it was .. I’ve given you three different website (healthline, WEBMD, and a professional Chemist) and all you have is a Paulas choice website lmaooo

@niaya pedersen i’ve been looking at that lately on sephora but personally for you, do you use your fingers, brush or a sponge when blending? :)

Any suggestions for setting powders? I currently use the airspun loose face powder in shade translucent and it gives me an ashy look. When I use it on my mother who is of darker complexion it works perfectly 😭 I get creases under my eyes as well.

I have sensitive skin and very dry and dehydrated. When I shower I notice my skin is super tight and dry and itchy. I have tried a lot of new moisturizers and cleansers but nothing seems to help or make a lot of difference. Any advice or suggestions please 💕

I like Rodan and Fields protect and blur primer! It has a matte finish but feels hydrating on your skin! You might try that!! Or if you’re looking for a product to help with your dry skin I suggest looking into their Active Hydration Serum! It works wonder for dry skin. I have oily skin so I can’t personally testify to it working on dry skin but my best friend has dry skin and she says she couldn’t live without it! I would take the Rodan and Fields personalized skincare quiz to see what products they recommend for your specific skin and skin goals!

my skin has been oily for years, i would get a pimple here and there when i usually ate one chocolate, skin has always been on the bumpy side though, and i have alot of uneven skin tone. now to try to get rid of the oils and bumpiness my sister recommend using the body shop tea tree soap, then the body shot vitamin c scrub and them the tea tree face mask and to sleep in it. i tried it and got chemical burn, completely broke me out and make my skin more sensitive to everything, i used to be able to use estee lauder double wear and now even that breaks me out. ive tried all the vitamins everyone has recommended, i tried clinique, stirvectin, hydrolic acid, now im on cerave the light blue bottle face wash, i tone put the hydrolic serum and face moisturizer im so close to giving up, my face just looks horrible now i have alot of scarring, still bumpy and red. its embarrassing, any recommendations welcomed!!

@Sandra Rivera having a good skin care regimen is always important. Making sure you cleanse and moisturize every morning and cleansing and toning every night as well. I’m using DermAware products right now for my whole skin care regimen. Has the dermatologist ever recommended chemical peels?

When I use foundation, it’s simply too thick, I don’t like the way it looks or feels on my skin. I’ve resorted to using a concealer that’s my skin tone as a foundation, but obviously that isn’t the best solution. What should I be looking for for a lighter wear that’s still something I can build off of? Looking for good light wear foundations or any other suggested product.

I’m sorry that’s happening! Could be that your concealer is at the expiration date? Can you remember when you bought the concealer? Is it possibly expired? Suggestions for application: -My favorite concealer brush is the Real Techniques Setting Brush. I apply the concealer to my face & then GENTLY, in light circle motion, barely touching my skin, buff in my concealer. I use concealer as foundation. It does take a while to buff in my concealer but my face looks flawless. -After this application I take a tiny eyeliner brush and with the concealer on my hand dip into it & spot conceal any tiny imperfections like a zit or reduce redness in small concentrated areas. Seriously any tiny eyeliner brush will do. Concealers I love! -for all over usage I use: Morphe, CoverFX, and my FAVORITE is Kryloan Supracolor ($6 & will last FOREVER) - I especially love the coverfx for spot concealing I wrote a novel on this but I hope it helps!

my best advice is trying a tinted moisturizer ! and if you don’t like that, then you can totally just wear concealer and blend it in right into your skin.

Hi! So I’m trying to find products to better help my foundation stay on and stay matte. I have very oily skin and have tried so many different foundations and have tried mattifying primers too. They either make me breakout or they just flat out don’t work. I’ve even tried the IL Makiage ‘find your perfect shade’ foundation, it’s better for summer and when I’m more tan, but it most definitely didn’t live up to its promise of staying even after using a mattifying primer. I’m also trying to look for products that aren’t crazy expensive.

Always go for waterproof eye makeup. The most waterproof products I’ve ever tried is The Definition Mascara, The 24h Pen eyeliner and the cream eyeshadows. You can go literally on the swimming pool and they don’t smudge at all. Obvs, you need to not rub your eye. That is key. It’s easy to keep touching your eyes. Try to control that and gently use a piece of paper or cotton. Hope it helps! Xx
