Looking for the best primer to wear under Estée Lauder Double Wear foundation. I get shiny on my forehead and chin by end of day

I am a primer loving fiend; however, I feel the Estée Lauder double wear does not need a primer. It honestly performs well on its own, BUT if you’re dead set on a primer look for one that’s water based more than silicone based. ELDW is a water-based foundation, so using a silicone primer is like putting oil in water. The products are not compatible and can cause separation and patchiness throughout the day. I got the hangover RX on sale at Sephora and it pairs well with the ELDW since it is a very matte foundation. I’m extremely oily, but when oily skin is overly mattified and dehydrated it can actually cause more sebum/oil production. The hangover primer actually works great with it!

my skin has been oily for years, i would get a pimple here and there when i usually ate one chocolate, skin has always been on the bumpy side though, and i have alot of uneven skin tone. now to try to get rid of the oils and bumpiness my sister recommend using the body shop tea tree soap, then the body shot vitamin c scrub and them the tea tree face mask and to sleep in it. i tried it and got chemical burn, completely broke me out and make my skin more sensitive to everything, i used to be able to use estee lauder double wear and now even that breaks me out. ive tried all the vitamins everyone has recommended, i tried clinique, stirvectin, hydrolic acid, now im on cerave the light blue bottle face wash, i tone put the hydrolic serum and face moisturizer im so close to giving up, my face just looks horrible now i have alot of scarring, still bumpy and red. its embarrassing, any recommendations welcomed!!

@Sandra Rivera having a good skin care regimen is always important. Making sure you cleanse and moisturize every morning and cleansing and toning every night as well. I’m using DermAware products right now for my whole skin care regimen. Has the dermatologist ever recommended chemical peels?

This is gross but I’m having SUCH a problem with crusty acne. It looks so gross and I’m not sure what to do to heal it or cover it up in the day. Thoughts?? This is with some Estée Lauder double wear concealer

Hey guys I’m new so hello! But I just wanted to ask if y’all know any good foundation for oily skin? It can be drug store or name brand. My favorites from drug store are (Nyx can’t stop, won’t stop..colourpop, catrice) my favorite from name brand are (Estee Lauder, Fenty, Makeup Forever stick, Becca) I’m really oily on my nose so what are some good ways to not be as oily and a good foundation that will make look beat no matter how oily? 🙌🏼 lol

I use Tarte’s Water Foundation. It’s one of the few I’ve found that matches my skin tone AND doesn’t get wicked away by oil within an hour!

Does anyone know a good foundation for acne prone skin ? That layers on smooth and doesn’t stick to dry patches or make the pores look worse. I was using Estée Lauder but it’s always makes my skin look extra dry and patchy.

My favorite foundation! I am also acne prone, and it may seem like a liquid foundation would do the job, but no! This is my holy grail of foundation! It glides on SO smoothly, and it covers all your pores, giving an airbrush effect. It’s also not cakey! Although I am oily skinned, I have many friends with combo skin, and it works wonders for them as well! Best of all, after you take it off, it doesn’t create any more pimples! That is why I love BareMinerals! This foundation glides on the best with the BarePRO core coverage brush!

HALPPP!! My makeup continues to slide off my face and transfer so easy and I’m so frustrated. Here is my current whole regiment.. I have large pores and a really oily t-zone.. Wash- philosophy’s purity cleanser Tone- Mario badescu witch hazel rose water Serum- neogen pore aid Moisturizer- Origins Matte moisturizer with willow herb Setting spray- Milani make it last Mac paint pot for t-zone Primer- Covergirl outlast all day or hourglass mineral veil Translucent powder- NCJ cosmetics (Nikkia joy) Foundation- matte fit me poreless or Estée Lauder when I want fuller coverage I set with powder and sometimes bake. What is going on here? I literally touch my nose to itch it and it slips my whole make up! 😔 I’m so discouraged! Thanks so much I’m advance 🙌

Try a primer that is more on the sticky side to help your makeup not move as much. This is a very good base to help makeup last a long time throughout the day. For the setting spray I recommend @All Nighter Setting Spray from urban decay. I use it daily and I absolutely love it! Hope this works for you!💕

Okay I have tried so many foundation lately, and like nothing. 😭 I tried Estée Lauder double wear since EVERYONE swears by.. it broke me out terribly (yes it was the foundation I switched nothing else and waited for my skin to clear before trying it again). Other foundations I’ve tried below...suggestions please prefer a matte finish. -Dior forever -Clinique Stay matte - Too Faced Born this way -Urban Decay all nighter

If you haven’t tried this yet it’s pretty good, it has really good coverage and what I consider to be a more matte finish, and it works well with most skin types.

I really love Fenty Pro Filtr Foundation. There is definitely a bit of a learning curve, but once you figure out how to apply it, it looks amazing and wears well. I also like Benefit Hello Happy Foundation for a light coverage. My fave concealers are Fenty, Shape Tape, and Fit Me.

Is fenty beauty all its cracked up to be? I’ve been using Estée Lauder doublewear foundation but my bottle is almost empty, I need to get matched for a summer shade and I was curious as to whether Fenty actually lives up to the hype. Any reviews?

Not related to Fenty, but I was using Double Wear as well and ended up trying It Cosmetics Bye Bye Foundation because I wanted something lighter on the skin for summer and I’ve absolutely fallen in love with it. It has great coverage but feels super lightweight (I have dry, acne prone skin)

I have a dupe for the Estée Lauder double wear, It is a korean brand and its about $15 on Yesstyle, I have NOT try it personally but everyone said that they feel exactly the same on the face. Etude House is a really famous brand in Korea so it’s not just some copycat product on the internet. The only thing that you should notice about korean beauty is it’s only have Asian skintone, I don’t know if the shade that they provide matches you or not, but if you think that you are darker than most of Asian people I think you should choose the shade Amber.

Dupes?? I really like the Estée Lauder double wear stay in place foundation but I don’t like the price tag. I love the full coverage and it works well with my red and combination skin. Does anyone know of any dupes that are just a little cheaper than the retail of $42?

Hi, ladies! I’m having a foundation crisis. I am looking for a foundation similar to Maybeline Fit Me foundation- dewy and smooth (or whatever it’s called). Color 120. I’m looking for one similar from Ulta BUT with more coverage. I just tried Estée Lauder Perfectionist Youth Infusing Serum makeup and really liked it in the store so I bought it (for 52 dollars. Yikes) but I’ve been wearing it for only 4 hours and I HATE how it feels on my face. Almost like it’s too oily. I want dewy just not too oily. How can I fix this? What should I use instead? I need something that spreads on like satin, covers my uneven skin tone. Let me know what you suggest! Thanks!!

I would recommend trying NARS radiant longwear. It doesn’t oxidize and offers good coverage but you can also use one or two pumps of you want lighter coverage. It gives a good glow without making you look super shiny. I would also try setting it with setting powder.

Hi! So I usually use the Estee Lauder double wear foundation! I have SUPER oily and acne prone skin, I just want a cheaper dupe of it so that I don’t use my estee lauder every day because of how expensive it is. I need something that won’t break me out and that is full coverage that will last all day. 💛

HALLLLLP I have just started to really get into doing full face makeup but can’t seem to get the foundation/powder/bronzer/blush/highlight right. I’m super good at eye shadow but my shade is never right. I got color matched and liked the double wear Estée Lauder for a couple of months. Now when I wear it I start to look grey!!! I’m using all good products but maybe just not the right ones for me?!? I want full coverage makeup because I have freckles and want to hide them. ANY ADVICE? P.S. I work at a tanning salon and my color is always changing if that makes a difference

La girl just made a line of special foundations that are made to mix into foundations so that you can change the undertones and lighten or darken them according to your current skintones. Those with some research about how the law of color works would help tons!
