not creasing

well, urban decay eyeshadow primer potion is really a magic potion that all women wearing eye makeup must have and must apply first to prevent oily lids, eyeshadow creasing, keep eyeshadow color more vibrant and make it last longer

urban decay eyeshadow primer potion - all shades is a must have for those ladies with oily eye lids, or if you use an eye shadow that is prone to creasing it is also a must

staying power

but now with the urban decay eyeshadow primer potion, it makes my eyeshadow stay on where i put it in the morning and it lasts all day and all night

- Viewpoints User

the liner goes on so smooth, stays on all day without smearing, and looks like a liquid (which i can't wear because it irritates my eyes) so this is my new favorite

- Sephora User

blends well

- uses a doe foot applicator application - i apply a bit with the applicator to my lid and then sprend and blend with my ring fingers - it goes on really smooth and dries quickly - the finish is soft and smooth - might add color to dark skin, but i can't be sure wear - shadows have great true to the color payoff - helps cheap shadow perform better - little to no creasing - colors stay on for a long time overall i really love this product

no fading, creasing, bleeding, or streaking

does not have fallout

the quality of the shadows are amazing and there is barely any fallout

- Sephora User

the shadows are creamy and easy to blend with very little to no fallout

oh just to let people know genie-like bottle, eyeshadow primer potion is an ultra-sheer, totally nude eye base that glides on with the wave of a wand and then disappears instantly

- Viewpoints User

this primer comes in a sheer, fleshtone and is totally undetectable once eyeshadow is applied overtop

Amazing eye shadow primer!

I got this eye shadow primer in Sin and it is great! A friend who swears by this product gave it to me as a Christmas gift. I loved it the very first time I used it. My eye shadow literally lasts the whole day. And since I got the champagne color (Sin), I can use this alone just to give my eyes a little "pop". The applicator is also cool but not that great because I still have to use my fingers to apply the product evenly. But it does what it promised it would - it makes my eyeshadow stay on all day without creasing. It also makes the eye shadow looks more pigmented. I don't use eye shadow everyday, but if I do, I always put this primer on first. For a simple and clean do, i use a thin amount of this eye shadow primer, put on liquid liner on my upper lids (close to the lash line), curl my lashes and put on my Loreal carbon black mascara. I don't really like going through all the eye shadow blending. This eye shadow primer also comes off easily with make up remover so facial cleansing is a breeze. « less

This one's a keeper!

I never used to wear eyeshadow until I started using UDPP. Before I started using UDPP, I thought it was helpless for me to use eyeshadow and it made me not care about my eyemakeup. Some eyeliner and mascara would do the job for me. Now that I look back, I know why I didn't wear eyeshadow. It never stayed on my eyelids because my eyelids are very oily. Eyeshadow would fade rather quickly and eyeliner used to crease regardless if it was pencil, mechanical, or liquid. I never knew there was such a thing as UDPP out there until I started watching video tutorials on YouTube. Video after video I saw girls praising this primer and I had no clue why. Well, I finally decided to buy it. One thing that I will let you know is that I am a cheapie. I don't have too much high end makeup (though I would really love it) and when I do buy makeup, i look for the cheapest thing I could buy that I know will get the job done right. I know UDPP is not too expensive, but the damn bottle is so small for 20 something bucks. Ok, regardless, the positive outweighs the negative (thankfully). Pros: My eyemakeup stays on all day. And I mean literally ALL day. My eyemakeup still looked flawless after a workout! My eyeshadows look more pigmented which means I don't need to use too much eyeshadow. You don't need to use alot of the product. A little goes a long way! My eyeshadows look much better with UDPP. The bottle is very pretty and cool looking. Easy to blend shadows Dries fast so there is not need to wait to apply eyeshadow Eyeliner doesn't smear or smudge There is no creasing Evens my eyelids' skin tone ( i happen to have dark eyelids for some reason) so no eyeshadow is necessary. Good for days that I am in a rush and on the go. Cons: Since the bottle is weirdly shaped, I feel that some of the product gets wasted. I just wish it was a littler cheaper and bigger! :) but it's very well worth the price. Quality over quantity right? « less

The Holy Grail of make-up primers

Urban Decay Primer Potion (UDPP) is one of the most if not *the* most important part of any make-up lovers arsenal. This stuff now comes in four shades (I own full sizes of two and minis of the other two) and I would recommend them all. These are primers that you use on your eyelids prior to applying eyeshadow. They adhere the shadow to the lids preventing the creasing and migrating of shadow that still happens with most types of eyeshadows available. The UDPP also intensifies the colors of the shadows. The primers come in adorable bottles that look like a fancy potion bottle and have a felt-tip wand applicator. The wand used to be straight which didn't work well with the bottle design as it left a lot of product unusable because you couldn't get to it. There are plenty of videos on the web showing you how to saw open your bottle and salvage the remaining primer...luckily Urban Decay listened to the customers and made the wand slanted to help you get all of the product out of the container. That is the main purpose of the wand - getting the potion out of the bottle. Just dab it on the eyelid and then blend in with a finger. If you try to paint it on with the wand you will waste product and irritate your eyes. Original - pale nude color that blends into the skin and becomes transparent. Comes in the standard size with the wand applicator and now in an XL size squeeze tube. Sin - a popular Urban Decay shadow color, sin is a shimmery champagne color that provides an additional layer of interest to your eyelids as it acts as both primer and highlighting shadow. Eden - a pigmented matte beige/nude with a slightly yellow undertone that works like an eyelid concealer as well as primer. Covers veins and darkness and brighten eyelids! Greed - a shiny pearlized gold color - great for the holidays! There is a set of all four shades in mini sizes that is perfect if you are looking to try these and they will last a very long time as a little product goes a long way. « less

There is nothing better!

This stuff is unbelievable!!! It is magic in a bottle and I love it! I have super oily lids and have had a very difficult time with eye shadow staying put without creasing. I tried everything - concealer, cream shadows (as base), drugstore and highend lines that claimed their products would prevent creasing.....I even tried corn starch. Yes, corn starch. Nothing worked. Then one day Urban Decay came up with this product. I tried it because I figured I had nothing to lose at this point and if this didnt work, then I'd just have to forego eyeshadow permanently. What a pleasant surprise. This stuff worked like a charm. I put it on using a thin layer on my lids, let it dry, applied my shadow and voila!!! I checked my eyes at the end of my work day and I still had on perfect shadow. I was so amazed and excited. Urban Decay Primer Potion is truly magic. I worship this stuff and use it every single day! I feel confident when I put on my eye makeup because I know that it is going to look just as good after a long day at work as it did when I put it on that morning. My only complaint about this product concerns the design of the bottle that it comes in. The shaping of the bottom and sides of the container make it quite difficult to get to all of the product that is inside. When it appears that all the product has been used, I usually take the rubber tip out of the top of the bottle. This enable me to get to the product on the side. This way, I am able to get tons more uses out of this before throwing it out. The bottom of the bottle is spread a bit wide and if you were to cut it off after supposedly using all the product inside, you would see that there is still tons more left in the bottom. With the applicator that comes with Primer Potion, it is impossible to get to the product that is 'hiding' in this bottle. I think this is wasteful and Urban Decay should come up with another, more practical design in order to alleviate this wasteful problem. Nonetheless, this is a wonderful product that I am sure I will use continuously in my life. Nothing else keeps my shadow on my eyes. I just hope and pray that Urban Decay will spend time and money on the research of a better bottle design. « less

Purchased for daily use. Eye liner and primer are really good. The eye shadows have great color and last a long time without creasing. As careful as I can possibly be the eye shadow still falls onto my cheeks and when trying to remove it with loose powder sticks to my checks. I've had to redo my face because of so much pigment under my eyes. I would not call myself a novice with makeup, so I think this makes the product a challenge for many people. I will not repurchase and will probably pass this pallet on to someone.
