amazing this gives me the best coverage when i don't feel like doing a glam makeup day it's so lightweight and makes your skin look so smooth, soft, and almost airbrushed i am obsessed

- Sephora User

i absolutely love this it makes my skin look super smooth and even toned

- Sephora User

i have dry skin and i like dewy looks but i live in a very humid place where it makes my dewy looks look very greasy i combat that by using powder and i bet you are wondering you have dry skin why powder, well let me tell you humidity makes your makeup look terrible, so i been looking for a powder that doesn't make me look cakey within a hour, i tried so many powder from the famous lm to drugstore and they all cake up on me i don't know why but this one its so light it doesn't ever cake up on me and i love that, i don't use it as a foundation i use this powder as a setting powder and it makes my skin look fresh and nice even in this humidity, finally found a holy grail setting powder, i use a light fluffy brush to pick up the powder

- Sephora User

i love the naked skin as it light on the skin

- Sephora User

pore minimizing

pore minimizing

the velvet side of the sponge applies the powder the best i have ever seen and hides all of my pores like a dream come true

- Urbandecay User

i loved how fine the ud powder was and how it hid both my larger pores and bumps on my forehead

- Ulta User

good quality

next, *this part is important* while the primer is still sticky and slightly moist, apply the ud naked skin ultra definition powder foundation with a good quality brush (i've used a goat hair one before, though currently i use the ud good karma optical blurring brush) - when it is sticky/moist, the powder has something to stick to

- Sephora User

overall, this product is by urban decay, and as such, is the great quality i've come to expect from such a brand

- Ulta User

i apply it with a wet beauty blender and it goes on really smooth, leaves a nice matte but not dry looking finish

- Ulta User

i have combo skin and when i applied this dry without primer it was splotchy and showed every imperfection in my skin

- Sephora User

staying power

i've been addicted ever since, i like just a powder look over my cc/bb primer and this covers amazing, lasts all day and keeps my shine at minimal

- Urbandecay User

i love this and it stays on well all day

- Nordstrom User

love the buildable feature

- Ulta User

beautiful buildable coverage that does not look cakey at all

- Ulta User

blends well

i purchased this product in an ulta beauty store where i tested to find which color fit my skin tone and i am just completely satisfied with how well this blends with my skin

- Urbandecay User

this goes on so smoothly and blends like a dream

- Ulta User

not creasing

it does offer decent coverage and feels great on my skin, but it does settle into fine lines and it's not the best for building coverage unless you want a super-powdery face

- Sephora User

i've tried dozens, and this is the only one that doesn't settle into my pores, and it provides great buildable coverage

- Urbandecay User

this product is extremely light and brightens up my skin tone, it leaves my skin to be smooth like butter, this is what it is suppose to do

- Urbandecay User

the best advice i was given when applying makeup was to rub a small amount of foundation primer, i use ud brightening & tightening complexion primer potion, between the index and middle fingers of both hands then apply to the face by massaging it in

- Sephora User

i always use my powdered foundation with my hourglass primer and mufe mattifying primer

- Sephora User

for oily skin this is a good product when used in conjunction with mattifying primers and setters

- Urbandecay User

color accuracy

doesn't oxidize

it lasts all day without touch ups, makes my skin look really smooth and even, and doesn't change color

- Sephora User

it blends, does not oxidize and looks so natural

- Sephora User

i would say this is a medium coverage and the finish is demi-matte

- Ulta User

i would say this is medium buildable coverage with a demi matte finish

- Sephora User

medium coverage

i would describe this as medium coverage, given that it evens out all of my freckles and hides light scars but doesn't cancel out my dark circles/spots

- Sephora User

my skin seems to like this product, i would definitely recommend if you want medium coverage with a natural look

Was not impressed for what great things I heard.

I was very disappointed with this foundation. Claims to be full coverage, but it did not blend or cover well at all. I had to use a ton to get it to look somewhat okay, and at that point it creased because I applied so much. My skin is usually normal- not oily not dry, but this definitely made my face look super dry. Luckily it didn't stay on so it wasn't noticeable all day. Better as a setting powder than a foundation. But as it is, I would not recommend you use this as a foundation.

Best Powder Foundation Yet!

I try to write reviews in a way that will help another person decide whether or not they want to buy a product. With that being said: I absolutely love this powder foundation! I have been using it for a full week now (minimum time before I post a review) and it is a definite staple. I have mostly oily skin with some dryness in the winter but I don't like being described as combination because I'm more oily than anything! I used an ELF flat top face brush to apply this foundation dry to freshly washed, moisturized skin. It has a matte finish but, unlike some other powder foundations, I felt like my skin actually absorbed the powder vs. sitting on my face and clinging to my facial hair (don't act like you don't have these issues, LOL). It has medium coverage; it did a good job of covering my acne scars. I also want to say I do not try for perfect face but even face that doesn't have screaming imperfections. Anyhoo, I then sprayed my ELF brush with water (I want some of that makeup setting spray to use in lieu of water) and applied. Love, love, love the consistency. It has a very unique feel to it and does feel as if you are not wearing anything in a way I've never experienced. It provided more coverage when applied wet AND it has a matte-ish finish but looks more natural than any other matte finish I've used. I had a little oil peek through by the very end of the day but a little oil absorbing powder took care of that. I wore this yesterday from 9:00 am to 10:00 pm with no touch ups and I loved my face. Liquid foundation oxidizes on my face and leaves me with streaks, wearing off and blotches sometimes. This does none of that! Also, if you want more coverage, spray that brush and build it up! This does build up nicely without caking and still feels natural. I highly recommend this product for glasses wearers, oily skin, covering imperfections and for a natural foundation finish. Thank you UD! « less

Is this being discontinued?! I will cry!

I have never been so in love with a foundation.I have tried every liquid, cream, stick, mousse, even other brands of pressed powder/foundations and none have ever looked and/or felt better on my skin than this foundation.I have very red, blotchy skin that is usually super dry in the morning, then begins to become an oil slick around 1 or 2 pm. This is the only foundation I have found that doesn't look all cakey and gross on my skin. Sometimes I touch up my nose and chin around 2 or 3 pm because of being shiny, but for the most part, I don't even do that.I like full coverage due to all my redness, so I wet the sponge a little and use the side with the UD logo to get the best coverage. I also "tap" the foundation onto my skin, rather than swiping or dragging. The coverage is awesome and never feels heavy. If it's the weekend and I'm just looking for a quick, light coverage, I use the other side of the sponge without wetting it. This gives a lighter coverage.I have no problems with the included sponge, but someone at ULTA once applied this on my face using a foundation brush. I find it easier to build coverage with the sponge and it doesn't leave my skin streaky looking like brushes do.I have nothing but good things to say about this foundation and have been buying it non-stop for a couple years now. I have tried other pressed foundations in the same manner I use this foundation, and nothing comes close to the smooth coverage I get here.I also found the perfect shade for my skin (Fair Neutral). Every other pressed foundation I have tried is too dark or too light and makes me look like the blood has been drained from my face. The only downside for me personally, is that I seem to run out of it quickly. I attribute that to using full coverage/more product for my problem skin so frequently. Others may not need to use as much product as I do...UNFORTUNATELY, ULTA stopped carrying this product. I then started buying it directly from the Urban Decay website, which was usually cheaper anyway. But now, I see they've gotten rid of my color as well as others. My last resort was Sephora and they are phasing it out, too. I am so distraught!!! WHYYYYYYY ARE YOU GETTING RID OF SUCH AN AMAZING PRODUCT?! Don't do this to me, Urban Decay... Less

Best light-weight coverage for oily/sensitive skin

I have sensitive (breakout prone), combination skin (oily nose and forehead and normal cheeks, which tend to be drier in the winter). I am also starting to get fine lines around my eyes . This powder is the best I have ever found. I could never wear foundations before because it would either make me break out or cake up and look gooey and dark by the end of the day. This foundation does neither. You will need to buy several shades lighter than you expect (I normally would wear a medium-light shade, but I wear light neutral in this. I recommend going in-store and doing the computer shading thing to find a perfect match.) This will NOT cover major blemishes when put on dry, but does provide a natural porcelain finish. I have not tried this wet, so it could possibly provide more coverage that way. I use a fanned natural (squirrel) bristle brush rather than the included sponge, and I only do a quick sweep to prevent shine and hide the pores on my nose. Coverage is buildable, and I am able to go from barely nothing to hiding my freckles, with just a few more sweeps. However, the powder does not last all day on my oily skin. I usually blot with tissues in the mid-afternoon to regain my matte. It also does not settle into fine lines. This compact has lasted me over six months, with daily use, and I just hit the bottom of the pan in the middle. After not using powder since middle school because of my "issues," I will never be without this again. Urban decay is one of my three favorite makeup brands (along with Benefit and Clinique), and this powder does not disappoint. « less

Incredibly surprised...

Allow me to preface this review by saying a couple of things: I am naturally dry-skinned, especially in this weather, and I have always had a strong dislike toward powder foundations for this very reason. No matter how well I've prepped my skin (i.e. globs of moisturizer) powder foundations ALWAYS cling in the worst areas. They make me look flat and...well, DRY. As a matter of fact, foundation in general was just not made to sit on my skin, but I wear it daily anyway because I love makeup. I always end up with noticeable fine lines/patches at the end of the day, but it's par for the course with dry skin... right? This foundation proved me wrong. I got very curious about the 'demi-matte' finish it claimed to provide, and so after moisturizing and priming like the devil, I gave it a try. I used a dry beauty blender to apply it in short strokes, and WOW. It's seriously beautiful on my skin--the same skin that flakes up when I so much as touch it! For the first time in my entire life, I have a foundation that sits 'properly' on my face... and it's a powder! Who would've thought? I would describe this as medium coverage, given that it evens out all of my freckles and hides light scars but doesn't cancel out my dark circles/spots. I'm okay with that, though, because it truly looks natural on me. The 'demi-matte' label is spot on, y'all. It's like it has some sort of inner glow, kind of like a satin, but toned down a little. The finish is just indescribable.Give this a try if you're curious about it!!! I'm incredibly happy that I did. Less

So I don’t like to wear liquid foundation but I love the look of powder. Can y’all give me any recommendations of a powder foundation for dry skin? I was using the Maybelline SuperStay one but it seemed a bit patchy. I was looking at the Benefit Hello Happy Powder but I’m not sure if it’s for dry skin.
