blends well

this palette has more kickback than the naked heat, but it is so easy to blend and both mattes and shimmers are pigmented and sultry looking on the eye

- Sephora User

the colors r gorgeous very blendable and buildable i like it more than the naked heat palette i’m a naked3 girl and i love this palette for all the seasons day and night looks

- Sephora User

does not have fallout

formula is so blendable, pigmented, and without much fallout

- Sephora User

as usual, highly pigmented, barely any fallout and super blendable

staying power

i've always worn a signature smoky eye, and now i own a highly pigmented, long lasting palette dedicated to it

- Sephora User

once set, stayed on for 13 hours with no touch ups

- Ulta User

not creasing

one end has a very short, dense rounded brush (great for heavy localized application - like a dark shade in your crease) and the other end has a larger rounded brush, however it is stiffer and denser than the large brush end found in the naked 2 palette, which i felt lended more control to the shadow application (important for a smokey look)

- Sephora User

(if you want a really nude look with this palette then sweep combust all over, build up whiskey to your liking in the crease and along the outer lower lashline, finish with a soft sweep of high over the lid and thirteen under the brow

- Urbandecay User

this palette really does have the perfect range from sheer pink to deep cranberry

- Sephora User

i also love the smoky-sheer packaging of it, it's just adorable and chic

Favourite Naked Palette ever

I am a sucker for a good smoky eye look so I had to have this palette and it is everything I could ever wish for. My favourite shades are the four in the middle but in total the palette has a good balance of highlights, middle tones and dark tones, shimmer, sheen and mattes for you to pull off the smoky eye for every day or dramatic at night. The shades are buttery soft and blend well. They are very pigmented and have minimal to no fall-out.This palette comes with an instruction manual for different kind of smoky looks for those who are new to the smoky eye look. The included brush works well, although I somehow go against popular opinion and prefer the brushes from the previous Naked palettes.I also love the smoky-sheer packaging of it, it's just adorable and chic.I'm not sure if the shades still qualify as 'naked' since they're very strong and not exactly nude anymore, but who cares? They're smoky and they rule! « less

I've always wanted a naked palette but never felt comfortable spending over $50 for one for myself... I bought my mother naked 2 last Christmas, and ever since then I've been determined to get my own. Naked 2 will have to wait because I purchased naked smoky and I'm beyond in love! I've always worn a signature smoky eye, and now I own a highly pigmented, long lasting palette dedicated to it. There's no fall out, not even with the shimmery shades. My buxom custom palette and too faced palette are terrible with fall out. I've been wearing these shadows since 5am and it's 5pm and I still look flawless, every color still in tact. The only part of this palette I didn't like was the brush, which is negligible-- I didn't like the larger, more fanned out side because it felt like it was just throwing shadow everywhere, so I'll probably use my smash box cosmetics brush. The brush that comes with it is super good at blending all of the shadows together though. I can't wait to try out the 4 UD looks, but this morning I used whiskey, radar, thirteen, armor, and smolder for my look. I love my first naked palette and will eventually buy naked 1&2; naked 3 looks too pink imo. I have tan/olive skin, age 21, green eyes, brown hair, and the colors look wonderful on me. I also may use my too faced shadow insurance primer next time, but like I said, it's been on my face for 12 hours with no fade or budge... So eye primer may not even be necessary. « less

This is my favorite UD NAKED palette so far!! I’m sure it’s because these colors are delicious!! They’re right on trend as well as universally flattering. I’ve loved all the Naked palettes but the cherry colors are all rich and look amazing on grey eyes. As usual, highly pigmented, barely any fallout and super blendable. The black cherry is perfect for a dark Smokey eye and looks great as a crease color with all of the colors. I can’t see anyone being disappointed.

Hard to Blend Glittery Mess

I'm a complete beauty junkie, and don't get me wrong I love my Naked 3 and my Naked 2 is OK. I do think in general the Naked palettes are definitely over hyped and there are definitely more cheaper and higher quality alternatives out there. Personally my favorite shadows are from Tarte. Sooo creamy, pigmented and easy to blend. However as with a lot of products I fell into the hype and bought this partly because of how GORGEOUS the packaging is.The packaging is my favorite out of any palettes I own its very sturdy and the smoke effects on the outside are just to die for. Its so sleek. Now I wanted to love this palette so bad and I tried using it for so many looks. But the formulations of the glittery and metallic shadows are AWFUL! Keep in mind that is 8/12 of the shadows. I was fine with the matte shadows, however I have so many matte palettes it doesn't matter much. There was so much fallout and they all just blended into an icky mess and glitter all over my face and hands. With the amount of effort I put into blending and trying to also use tutorials on youtube this palette is just complete hype. There's nothing special or in case good about it except the packaging. So ladies and guys do not spend your money on this palette there are so many better palettes out there. In general I'm not the biggest fan of the Naked palettes excluding the Naked 3, which for some reason seems that the shadows are actually wonderfully formulated and its a very unique and gorgeous palette that I will always keep.Anyways now off topic, bottom line don't waste your money and go for a Too Faced or Tarte palette. « less

The bad reviews didnt understand the greatness

Anyone giving this palette a bad review and comparing it to the other palettes just isn't getting it. This isnt naked 4 because it's not like those palettes. They explicitly tell you in big huge letters on the packaging that this is a smokey palette. That means for smokey eye looks. It would be silly and not serve its purpose at all if the colors were exactly true to pan and a big array of colors. This palette is made perfectly for how its meant to be used and there is enough variation in coloring that you totally can make a few different types and colors of smokey eyes. From daytime to night time and everything in between. The consistency of the shadows is identical to previous palettes so it's great. It is as pigmented as it should be for a smokey look and does not go on super streaky or patchy at all. It lasts as long as the other palettes at about 12 hours with an eye primer(an actual eyeshadow primer, concealer, foundation or even lotion.)blends easily with the right tools. The brush is useable but its no 20 to 60 dollar brush. I personally wouldnt spend 54 dollars on this palette and only bought it half off since i dont wear a smokey eye that often anymore despite going full glam daily. But they offer it half off once or twice a year like clock work. The quality is worth it and the price is worth it if q smokey eye is one of your go to main looks becaude the quality is definitely there. I just personally use the other palettes more so I'd spend full price money on those. So it is worth it if you'll use it like that. Otherwise wait for the sale because everyone needs this palette. You can't beat how easy this makes coordinating and putting together a smokey eye and the high quality of another naked palette. Just please dont go into it looking for something else other than smoked out colors and highlight colors. A great tip i always use is to google swatches for any makeup im going to buy from lipstick to a palette. So do that and then make up your mind. « less

I’m looking into eyeshadow palettes and am so conflicted. I’m looking for something with pink/neutral/rose gold matte and shimmer shades that could create natural looks. What would you guys recommend?

I want a pink based eyeshadow palette... something that’s versatile so it can go romantic or bright. Price point is anything but I would prefer products available at Sephora. Any Suggestions?!💞 #pink

So I did this look a while ago and I really liked it. I don’t have much experience or expertise with eyeshadow and I’m always looking to get better. What do you think and what can I improve or experiment with? 💞
