densely packed

the bristles are fairly dense and super soft

the bristles are very tightly packed and extremely soft

soft

but with liquid foundations, the tightly packed very soft bristles push the foundation into your skin leaving you with a beautiful streak free barely there finish with very little effort

- Ulta User

to begin with, i love how beautiful it looks and how soft the bristles are

Seems gimmicky, but works!

I picked up the Moondust palette at Ulta, then saw this brush for sale on the UD website. I was skeptical that an entirely separate specialized brush was necessary to use with the palette, but decided to give it a try. I'm glad I did, because this is unique in my massive brush collection -- a small, dense synthetic shader. It's probably most similar to the Real Techniques shading brush, but feels and performs like the higher-quality brush it is.In addition to Moondusts, I like this brush for applying loose shadows and pigments, as well as the more shimmery/sparkly shadows in my collection. Used dry, it applies and blends well with strong color payoff, though you will still get some fallout even if you tap the brush. However, as promised, using this brush wet (I prefer a few spritzes of setting spray) virtually eliminates fallout and results in the deepest color payoff.Additionally, this brush cleans up easily and holds its shape after washing, with no shedding. Overall, I'm pleased with the purchase, and the experience has encouraged me to try more brushes from the UD Pro line. Less

Perfection!

This is the fifth brush I own in this line. It has Urban Decay written on one side and Contour Definition F109 written on the other. The bristles are fairly dense and super soft! I love the design of these brushes!! They are so well crafted and great quality! This brush picks up and puts down product so wonderfully! You could use it to apply blush and bronzer if you wanted! It fits the side of the face so perfectly and applies the product so evenly!!! Its unlike any brush I've ever had and I can't want to collect the rest of these brushes!!! SO worth every penny!!!

When Urban Decay released the original optical blurring brush with the Naked Skin foundation, they were marketed as the ultimate combo. I went to pick up the original brush but they were sold out so the sales associate sold me a Sephora dupe that was actually more expensive and it wasn't great. Anyway, fast forward to 2016 when UD releases its pro line of brushes and I finally get my hands on this baby! This brush applies and blends out foundation beautifully and so quickly. I just have to buff more carefully between my eyebrows since that's where my make up tends to break down first and this area is narrower than the brush. It uses less product than a beauty blender because the brush doesn't soak it up and I find it provides better coverage. So far, I've used it with Naked Skin, All Nighter, Lock It and Fit Me, all with the same conclusion. The brush has a good weight to it and the bristles are so soft. I've not had any shedding in the 3 months I've had it with regular cleaning. Love UD's commitment to making cruelty-free products made from recycled materials that look and perform well. Less

Not Worth It

I bought this product along with the Urban Decay Naked Skin Shapeshifter palette. I went into the store for another product from a different brand (Ulta didn't carry the one I wanted) but went with this palette/brush combo based on suggestions from a friendly employee. I was totally on board with the palette and asked when I asked what brush she suggested she told me about the brush that was made to go with the palette. I was scared of the price tag at first but I know the importance of having the correct brush to compliment a product.Fast forward to actually using the brush...... it is AWFUL. Yes, the brush doesn't shed and it has soft bristles but the design is incredibly impractical. The fan side used for highlighting is HUGE and the bristles are too soft so most of the product slips off and is wasted. The contour/buffing side of the brush is oddly shaped and sized. There is a lot of bristles on that side of the brush and so application is too rough. The brush doesn't distribute product well at all. It cakes the product (both the cream and powder formulas) in one spot and is basically useless when buffing. The stiff, plentiful bristles move your foundation and disrupt your entire makeup application.Don't waste your money on this product!! Less

Magical Blending Wand!!!

This is the fourth brush I own in this collection and I am so in love!!! It is well crafted and extreme durable. One side says Urban Decay and the other side has The Finger F110 written on it. The metal ferule that extends down the whole brush is so unique and I love it!! Its also very easy to clean.I use this brush as a blending brush for concealer and color correctors. I think it does a slightly better job of blending than the Domed Concealer brush in this line. You could also use it to blend in eyeshadow primer and apply shadows if you wanted. Its bristles are very dense and pick up a lot of product. It functions just like a finger. It can apply over a large area of the finger tip or over just a small point. Its really amazing!I am in LOVE with this brush! It blends and blurs unlike any brush I've ever seen!!! A MUST have! Less
