Okay I have tried so many foundation lately, and like nothing. 😭 I tried Estée Lauder double wear since EVERYONE swears by.. it broke me out terribly (yes it was the foundation I switched nothing else and waited for my skin to clear before trying it again). Other foundations I’ve tried below...suggestions please prefer a matte finish.
-Clinique Stay matte
- Too Faced Born this way
-Urban Decay all nighter
Currently searching for products to use on my birthday and I need advice on primers, longwearing foundations, concealers and powders with no flashback. So far I’m interested in trying Charlotte Tilbury’s most recent foundation and the pressed powder. Any luxury recommendations that are worth the splurge and hold up on combo/oily skin? I struggle with a lot of shine mainly between my brows and around my nose :)
I have pretty dry skin, and i’m looking for a hydrating mist to spray on before i put on my hyaluronic acid serum. I’ve heard the Mario Badescu facial sprays are really good, but i’m not sure if i should go with the rosewater one or the cucumber and green tea one. Has anyone tried them and like one over the other?
I have dry, acne prone skin and I have been trying everything to get rid of my acne for the past year! nothing works (curology, neutrogena light mask, acne washes, tea tree oil, mario badescu- you name it!) does anyone have any recommendations for a natural at home remedy for acne? I’m done with all the chemicals ingredients on my face.
I’ve asked for recommendations for foundations a bit lately but I always ask for drugstore products. Now I’m just asking for any suggestions for foundations for dry skin, my go to has been e.l.f. Flawless Finish Foundation but now with the weather changing even it’s looking kind of dry and flaky on me, even though I’ve switched to my thick moisturizer and prep my skin thoroughly beforehand. I really want to find a foundation with good coverage that’s also very hydrating and I just haven’t had any luck with any I’ve tried so far, so any suggestions are much appreciated.
With so many people moving into serums and acids just a reminder:
You should NOT mix these
VITAMIN C + AHAS/BHAS : Combining retinol with Vitamin C is a recipe for peeling, redness and irritation, in short, a total disaster for the health of your skin
RETINOIDS + AHAS/BHAS: damages skin moisture barrier and can cause irritation, redness, dry skin over time; use separately and sparingly
RETINOIDS + VITAMIN C: may cause over exfoliation, resulting in increased skin and sun sensitivity; separate into day/night routines
Benzoyl peroxide + vitamin C
OIL-BASED + WATER-BASED.
GLYCOLIC ACID + SALICYLIC ACID: too many acids can strip the skin and damage its ability to recover
NIACINAMIDE + VITAMIN C: use in careful moderation. Some studies show that They stabilize each other some shoe that mixing vitamin c can result in a niacin flush (red irritation to the skin).
-Retinols should mostly be used at night
- Vitamin C should mostly be used at night
-Wait 20 mins when layering multiple serums (if you find your skin can tolerate it in one setting)
-Don’t forger your SPF 30 during the day
-When introducing acids to your face “purging” is only normal to a certain extent
I have combination skin. Some spots dry others oily☹️ and my foundation never seems to stay on my face. It will crease and just fall off through out the day.. what foundation should I use that won’t break the bank 💰
