I was honestly shocked at how disappointing this brush was for the price. I purchased it exactly for its intended purpose: to apply my foundation and make it look airbrushed. It did neither well. The first thing I noticed when I began using it was an unpleasant, musty odour. I’ve noticed that odour emanating from other bamboo items I own (chimes, mats, etc.) but I honestly never expected it from a product I would be putting near my nose. I’m not sure if it’s an unavoidable odour with bamboo. If it is, why use this material to make a makeup product?I decided to keep using the brush, hoping that the odour would eventually fade. (It never did.) However, a few days later I noticed that I had bristles laying in my freshly-applied foundation! I plucked them off with tweezers, refinished my face, and carried on. That evening, I decided to wash the brush gently, to try to improve the odour and rinse away any other loose bristles. The next day, the brush was just as smelly and deposited more bristles onto my face. That was it for me.I gave this brush a very fair chance to meet my expectations. Compared to my other similarly-priced, quality, cruelty-free, vegan brushes, this one wasn’t even in the same league. For that reason it’s no longer part of my collection and I don’t recommend it. « less
