Flawless, Natural Finish

The brush does exactly what it says. The bristles are incredibly dense and soft, and it's perfectly designed for the thicker texture of the tarte foundation. On the skin, it feels velvety and satiny. The brush quickly blends out your foundation because it is bigger and has a larger surface area, making blending much easier and more efficient. It is easy to handle, and beautiful aesthetically. It truly is worth the money, and I would recommend this to any one purchasing the tarte Amazonian clay foundation.A con that I can look past is the amount of product absorbed into the brush- even though the bristles are synthetic, so not as much product is absorbed as real hair, it's a bit more than I'd like.Overall, great brush for blending- it truly does give a airbrushed look.

Excellent brush

Based on multiple experiment with different types of brushes (e.g. IT, other Tarte brushes, Sephora, Marc Jacobs, Real Techniques, etc), this is by far my favorite brush to apply BB/CC/liquid foundation/tinted moisturizers/cream (not good for powder).-Pros: Applied foundation/cc/bb cream super fast with results that looked airbrushed/flawless coverage (no streak). Leave very little to no product left on the brush. Bristles are thick, super soft, and it is considered huge in size compare to other brushes (comparable to Marc Jacobs III foundation brush).-Cons: Pricy but then most of the good quality brush is around this price range; can't get in between small area such as corner of your nose/eyes (I have a double ended concealer brush from Tarte which I love to use for this reason).Overall, this is a wonderful brush and is worth the price.I wash this brush once every 5-7 days/wk and it dry quite fast considered the brush size is big and bristles are dense and so far all the bristles are still in tact. Loving this brush. « less

Fabulous Brush!!!

This is one of my favorite brushes! It's so unbelievably soft, it applies makeup effortlessly and it never has any fallout! I purchased this to apply Tarte's Amazonian Clay Foundation, to give it an "airbrushed" finish. I do love the way this applies their foundation, it goes on smoothly and evenly and gives me the perfect amount of coverage! This brush is also wonderful for applying powders, I love using it because it feels so soft on my face and does a wonderful job. It's getting harder to find high quality brushes, so many of them have fallout or they don't apply makeup evenly, but this is one of the few brushes that I don't have any issues with. As of right now the only brushes I use are from Tarte, Too Faced and Bare Minerals and I would recommend any of these brushes to someone who was looking for a great new brush!

Very disappointing for the price

I was honestly shocked at how disappointing this brush was for the price. I purchased it exactly for its intended purpose: to apply my foundation and make it look airbrushed. It did neither well. The first thing I noticed when I began using it was an unpleasant, musty odour. I’ve noticed that odour emanating from other bamboo items I own (chimes, mats, etc.) but I honestly never expected it from a product I would be putting near my nose. I’m not sure if it’s an unavoidable odour with bamboo. If it is, why use this material to make a makeup product?I decided to keep using the brush, hoping that the odour would eventually fade. (It never did.) However, a few days later I noticed that I had bristles laying in my freshly-applied foundation! I plucked them off with tweezers, refinished my face, and carried on. That evening, I decided to wash the brush gently, to try to improve the odour and rinse away any other loose bristles. The next day, the brush was just as smelly and deposited more bristles onto my face. That was it for me.I gave this brush a very fair chance to meet my expectations. Compared to my other similarly-priced, quality, cruelty-free, vegan brushes, this one wasn’t even in the same league. For that reason it’s no longer part of my collection and I don’t recommend it. « less
