Great formula and great neutral colors.

If you are considering buying these, I say go for it. These are smooth and buttery, easy to blend, and stay put very well (even without primer). I did not notice any fading until many hours later. I cannot speak for the entire color range, but I will tell you that I purchased Grind, Shakedown, Dame and Pokerface. Grind, Shakedown and Dame are gorgeous neutrals that have a beautiful metallic sheen. Pokerface has more 'shimmer' so to speak. I actually don't wear neutrals too often (I'm more of a 'color' fan or dark eye look fan), but I absolutely love these neutral colors every time I put them on. The only thing that I can see someone possibly taking issue with is that they are not 'super duper' pigmented; so if you would in fact rather have super rich pigmentation you should probably stick to Urban Decay. I personally love these neutral colors in this formulation offered by Tarte. The only reason that I have not purchased every single color is that many of the colors are warm toned. (If you like warm tones, get on the horn and buy these!!) I will say, though, that even being a person with a neutral-to-cool toned face, the neutral shades that I purchased are still wearable and flattering on me. Highly recommended.

These metallic eyeshadows are a dream. I'm a tarte fan from Italy, so please don't judge my English. Firstly the packaging is supercute, so cute that I need a little bit more time to put them into a magnetic palette. These are tiny little cardboard palettes with a little mirror in it, really sweet. But what's even more exciting are the colours themselves. They are very opaque whether dry or wet, they're buttery but not too soft, apply beautifully and tarte typically super blendable. I experienced no colour fallout. The colours are almost identical to the picture of tarte with the swatches. They are a little bit darker but everybody knows they shoot these pictures with very bright lightning. Especially revel (red) is not as bright, a bit darker but I like it even more like this. I purchased six colours: vintage, clueless, revel, amethyst, jaded and dark seas. I love them all so much I'll definitely order more or maybe all. I highly recommend these dreamy shadows. « less

I purchased 4 of these to put in my new magnetic palette and couldn't be more pleased. They were easy to pop out and I love the versatility of being able to take them all along together or individually in their own cases if I want. One arrived broken (Poker Face) so I will call for a replacement Monday when the reps are in. I did swatch that color and really loved that it's subtle but definitely makes a statement. I also bought Dame, Grind and Shake Down and was equally happy with those shades. Just enough sparkle without making me look like a disco ball. I love the creamy, velvety texture and I had absolutely no fallout when I tried each- which is always a huge annoying problem for me. Can't say yet of the staying power as I only played around with my new purchase but hoping they last the day! « less

Kinda disappointed

I use only Tarte eyeshadows because I have sensitive eyelids and I thought I would try one of these. I was looking around online and thought the Dark Seas (navy blue) was really pretty so I ordered it and once I got it and tried out the next day, I really liked the silky texture, however, it wasn't really dark when I put it on and didn't want to blend out too well. after a few minutes, it started fading off and creasing really bad. I didn't think it looked that good on me. I tried using it with my other eyeshadows but I just couldn't make it work. I have been trying to figure it out but I just cant. Really disappointed, I think I will give it to someone that would look better in it.
