Keeps the curl in my lashes

I have had a great deal of trouble getting my lashes to stay curled. This primer, along with waterproof mascara, keeps the curl and volumizes at the same time. I apply a thin coat of this primer and then follow that with a coat or two of mascara and my lashes stay curled all day. I've tried other primer with disappointing results, but a friend recommended this one and I couldn't be happier. I've finally found a remedy for my stick straight lashes. I warm the curler up with the hair dryer for a few seconds and then curl my lashes, waiting for the curler to completely cool off before removing it. I then apply a coat of this primer and then mascara and VIOLA!! my lashes stand at attention and also have a lot of volume and length. There's not a single thing negative I can say about this product. It works beautifully and my lashes don't clump and there's no smudging. My lashes look just curled when I get home in the evening, so this is definitely my new go to lash product. It goes on white but dries clear and quickly. It adds that little bit of extra oomph to my lashes that I definitely need now that my lashes have become sparser. They're still long but not as lush as they once were. I now even get compliments on them, which is crazy but that's what a big difference this primer has made. I definitely recommend it especially if you're having issue with your lashes holding a curl. It works like a charm. Certainly some kind of magic going on with it and I'm just glad I discovered it. « less

Dissapointed

I have purchased this product on a whim as my usual go to primer: Urban Decay Subversion Lash Primer was sold out. The reason I purchased it was due to the fact that it was labelled as "Top Seller" when I walked by the Tarte's section. I find it to be too runny when compared to UD's subversion lash primer as a result it separates my eyelashes but adds absolutely zero volume and does not separate my eyelashes, as a matter of fact it clumps them together so it looks like I've got 5 visible lashes per eye. Also, I have not experienced curling of the lashes. i will be return this at my local Sephora but If you are willing to give this product a try, I would recommend a few coats, then wait 5-10 min for it to dry then coat it with mascara.

Several years ago, I tried a lash primer by a different brand, but I gave up on it; I am so glad I tried Opening Act about a month ago as it is far superior. It adds much needed length and volume to my lashes without making them look clumpy. I typically layer it with Gifted for a more natural look or with Lights Camera Lashes for a more dramatic effect.

I love this product. It has saved my lashes so many times when I feel as though they won’t cooperate. It lengthens and prevents clumping.

If you’re looking for a base for your mascara, I highly suggest a mascara primer. Doesn’t dry hard like that may before you’re able to put mascara on. My favorite is by Tarte.
