Where has this BEEN all my life?! 10 stars!

Up until now, Shape Tape concealer is the only product that can fully cover my horrible hereditary under eye circles, but the problem is that it is so full coverage that I feel kind of obligated to put full coverage make up on the rest of my face to balance it out... until now. This stuff amazingly somehow cancels my purple/blue hues, brightens, AND looks natural enough that I don't need to put anything else on the rest of my skin unless I want to! IT'S CRAZY! I set this with the $3 brightening under eye setting powder from ELF and it's perfect; no creasing, lasts all day, and if I don't want to wear any other complexion products, I don't have to because this manages to look totally NOT obvious. I can add a dab of Shape Tape if I want a really flawless look or use it alone for a more natural look. I could not be more impressed. I anticipate re-purchasing this for a very long time. This plus Busy Gal Brows brings me back to life. Another reviewer said she uses one of this a month, which scared me initially due to the price, but I've been using this for over 3 weeks now and there is still a ton left - I bet it will probably last about 4 months of daily use and I won't need as much Shape Tape either, lol. I wear the Amazonian Clay foundation in light-medium neutral for reference, but I bet this would work for many light to light-medium complexions. Less

Perfect

This is the only thing I've EVER found that eliminates dark circles and is buildable without making my texture worse. I have sensitive bumpy crepey mature skin with fine lines. Doesn't crease, cake, flake, or slide!!!! Stays put but also builds, smoothes, and blends easily. Can be used alone on bare skin, or on top of moisturizer, or on top of primer. Can be blended easily but leaves a slight orange caste so I prefer a concealer over the top but it's not required it doesn't need to be "set" with anything to stay all day. A teeny tiny bit goes a VERY long way. Only issue is that it melted in my hot car and kinda slid out of the pan but it was still useable.I love it so much I bought multiples- car purse house spare... and I even mailed one to my mother (70s) who also loves it. I've seriously considered hoarding it in bulk quantities in case they ever discontinue it lol.The primer I like to use (not required) is tarte timeless smoothing primer, and the concealer that works best for me on top of this product is IT Bye Bye. I just really wish Tarte made this color correcting formula as a concealer bcuz it would be amazing. Less

Lots of Problems

I was super excited about this concealer because I love all tarte products, but this was one of the worst makeup items I've put on my face. When I was first applying it, I noticed that it's extremely hard to blend and being the very pale person I naturally am, I ordered the lightest color. It's very orange and not color correcting at all for my purple and red under eye area. It looked liked I had slathered pounds of makeup under my eyes and it never really seemed to dry or settle in. Also, for the first time, I felt like a concealer really made my under eye darkness look even darker and puffier! I looked like I hadn't slept in ages, and for some odd reason, even blending it very carefully and evenly, my inner corner of my eyes looked very highlighted and the rest of my under eye area looked even darker than it started and sleepy, and I wasn't wearing any other makeup when testing this out for the first time. So, I would not recommend this at all, because besides not being able to cover a dark under eye area, it really can't cover a blemish either. And it's by far the creasiest concealer I've ever owned, luckily Sephora will let me return this. What a let down. « less

Instant Transformation

I've had heavy, dark circles for years. And bags? I could pack for a world tour in these bags! ;-) As a result, I've tried many different concealers. Thought I had really hit "pay dirt" with Tarte's 12 - hour formula. But every time I bought a refill, I'd look at this product and wonder. Finally knuckled down and bought one. Boy, am I glad!! This stuff is amazing! Brightens and freshens my look like nothing else, goes on smoothly with no "creep" into crepey areas and just offers great & lasting coverage - period. A good brush is a must for smooth application and blending. I use after my BB/CC cream, along with the 12-hour concealer on other areas, topped with my powder foundation, FYI. Tarte's under eye concealer is the product that pulls it all together, giving me a smooth "face base" to build on for the rest of my look. I wouldn't be without it! One note: the product is very heavy and creamy - almost like a moist clay - making it perfect for cold weather use. Not sure about summer yet, but hoping for good results if used with a light hand. Fingers crossed! « less

Best products for dark under eyes? Hey everyone, so I have really dark under eyes, it’s just genetic and there’s no amount of sleep or water that will fix it. I have super dry skin and find every time I put on concealer it flakes or just looks bad. (and yes I moisturize like a fiend) What products work best for you/ what can you recommend?
