Are there any sunscreens that are unscented, have no whitecast, and glide on basically like lotion? I’ve been using Sun Bum sunscreen lotion SPF 50 but I am tired of smelling like coconuts all of the time!
With so many people moving into serums and acids just a reminder:
You should NOT mix these
VITAMIN C + AHAS/BHAS : Combining retinol with Vitamin C is a recipe for peeling, redness and irritation, in short, a total disaster for the health of your skin
RETINOIDS + AHAS/BHAS: damages skin moisture barrier and can cause irritation, redness, dry skin over time; use separately and sparingly
RETINOIDS + VITAMIN C: may cause over exfoliation, resulting in increased skin and sun sensitivity; separate into day/night routines
Benzoyl peroxide + vitamin C
OIL-BASED + WATER-BASED.
GLYCOLIC ACID + SALICYLIC ACID: too many acids can strip the skin and damage its ability to recover
NIACINAMIDE + VITAMIN C: use in careful moderation. Some studies show that They stabilize each other some shoe that mixing vitamin c can result in a niacin flush (red irritation to the skin).
-Retinols should mostly be used at night
- Vitamin C should mostly be used at night
-Wait 20 mins when layering multiple serums (if you find your skin can tolerate it in one setting)
-Don’t forger your SPF 30 during the day
-When introducing acids to your face “purging” is only normal to a certain extent
I have very dark circles under my eyes, it runs in my family. I’ve tried every concealer over the sun and sometimes not enough. Are there any good products to use before I use the concealer under my eyes?
hey everyone <3 i’m in need of some serious help plz. i cant seem to make my makeup last throughout the day, even though i use a primer and a setting spray. i’ve been using the Lumi Magic Primer and the Too Faced Hangover 3-1 Setting Spray. by lunchtime, my makeup starts to look gross and i look super oily. it’s weird because my face almost looks better when i don’t use these products, except the problem i’m faced with then, is that the sun has the tendency of just straight up melting my foundation off, so i want to find a new primer and setting spray that’ll keep my face looking fresh throughout the whole day. any suggestions as to what i could try?? preferably nothing too expensive? :) thank u all for your help! <3
also, as far as my skin type goes, i mentioned earlier that my face gets super oily around lunch time. i went to the spa the other day, and the lady giving me a facial asked what skin type i have. i responded with combination, but she later on said that my skin is more on the dry side, and that all the oil i have is just compensating for how dry it is. i’m not sure if this matters when choosing a product, but just thought i’d mention it. thank you again for all your help!
Hello, I have been struggling with acne and discoloration for a while now. I have combo skin but my biggest problems are my cheeks, they are covered in blackheads and some pimples, and are always clogged I’ve tried everything under the sun and feel as if I’m destroying my skin :/ I need a cleanser and moisturizer that could help. Thank you!
I have really dry skin, and my skin is really sensitive to the sun. during the summer of 2019, I would wear makeup w no sunscreen and that really messed my face up. I have a lot of discoloration on my face. any recommendations of foundations that have sunscreen???
Hey Quarantine Cuties 💕
I know we can’t go out in the sun much anymore, but does anyone have a suggestion on a good everyday sunscreen? Non-greasy/oily, invisible, the regular stuff 😊 doesn’t need to be a moisturizer since I already have one I like, just something for protection!
So, I don’t go out to the sun often, and all of a sudden, my dry skin became really extra dry, and I can feel the roughness of it. It’s even beginning to flake and peel! I need skincare products to help me, but I’m sick of buying a bulk and trying them again and again only to find a regimen that works for a while until my skin becomes immune to it. Anything to recommend? To moisturize and brighten my skin. I don’t mind the cost
What is a good foundation for dry and fair skin? I’m using too faced born this way and the way it sets on my face but yesterday in the sun I noticed it looked very orange and I have the lightest shade they have
What do you all use for your daily SPF? Every sunscreen I've tried has made my face extremely oily and sticky -never fully dries down- and any makeup looks like crap over it on my skin. Sun screen sprays (to use over make up) are said to be uneven coverage/protection and also make my skin shiny/slippery/sticky anyway. Any tips or products?
What is the best drugstore fragrance free facial sunscreen? I use sun screen every day and right now I’m using a Neutrogena sunscreen. I like it, but it has fragrance which I don’t like. Also I would prefer something non-comedogenic! Thanks!
HELP! so I’ve been neglecting sunscreen for the longest time due to the fact it makes me look like a ghost and starting to see the damage on my skin. Is there anyone with a deep tan skin tone or even darker that know a sunscreen that doesn’t make them look like a ghost but is still effective in preventing sun damage. I’m looking for one that still contains zinc or titanium dioxide
Looking for a good self tanner for my face since I don’t like to expose it to the sun but want a nice summer glow. Nothing too heavy but I’d like to see results in a couple applications. Also not trying to spend a ton of money either. Any recommendations?
I have dry, sensitive, acne prone fair skin and after the last couple years I now have melasma/major hyperpigmentation in my forhead, cheeks and upper lip. Never had kids it’s from the sun/hormone changes. I’m so starting to get wrinkles, age 33. Any skin care recommendations and makeup recommendations to help with my melasma and keep my skin from breaking out???? Helppp!
Hey guys. I’ve been looking a lightweight sunscreen that I can use all over my face even my eye lids. I have what’s called vitiligo and being out in the sun is very bad for my skin since it is even more sensitive.
Does anyone have an recommendations? #helpagirlout #vitiligo #sensitiveskin
