Pigmented, creasing, has fallout
I wanted to like this so badly! The color is beautiful, the glitter is like a sea of diamonds, and the base is nice and opaque so what you see upon application is true to what you see in the bottle. But that fallout was the death of me. I used a couple of different glitter shadow primers and I even stood still with my eyes closed while it dried so it wouldn't bunch up in my eyelid creases while wet, but within minutes of it drying it was snowing glitter down on my cheeks. I could even deal with that if it didn't flake chunks of glitter into my eyes! When your eye slams shut while driving because a chunk of glitter fell into it, that's a really bad time. So very sad to have to return this :( But I have other glitter shadows that are just as blinding in effect without actually blinding me. But if Stila can work out a solution to this, I'll gladly try it again.

Blends well, sheer, not creasing
As someone who struggles with creasing with most every liquid or cream eyeshadow, I was so excited about the idea of a matte, long-lasting liquid shadow and picked this up the day it launched in-store. All of the colors swatched were beautiful and true to the pictures online, but Something Blue stuck out to me as something I needed in my collection. It’s an absolutely stunning sky blue, and to my surprise, when applied to my lids it looked exactly like the photos of the models wearing the shade. Usually the promotional materials brands release exaggerate the vividness or opacity of their products, but when I put a couple layers of this on my lid and blend lightly with a brush, I can achieve that same intense opaque look. One thing to note: if you blend these out with a finger, it gives a very sheer and dewy finish to the eyeshadow, and with my oily lids made me a lot more prone to creasing. When applied correctly, these give that “matte not flat” look, they aren’t dry or crackly like a lot of other matte formulas, and somehow give dimension to the eyes with a finish somewhere in between matte and satin. I love how buildable this is, and how I can wear it as a sheer wash of blue on the lids or a bold, bright statement look, I would just personally suggest blending these out with a fluffy brush to avoid creasing. They definitely don’t dry down immediately, so I’m not sure about using them as a eye primer personally, since I need an extremely dry thick base for my oily eyelids, but I do notice that once it dries down it stays in place for the rest of the day. Probably the most long-lasting liquid or cream eyeshadow I own, even beats out the Stila Magnificent Metals for lasting power, and barely creased over the 8 hours I wore it. I will definitely be buying more shades, and since the online swatches seem to be accurate I don’t need to make a trip to a Sephora store to do so. I think I’ll buy the mauve one next, a gorgeous purply burgundy.

Blends well, pigmented, not creasing
There are so many good things I can say about this eyeshadow. First off, I'm absolutely in love with this formula. It's liquidy, but doesn't crease. It is INSANELY pigmented and goes on exactly as it looks in the bottle. It's a little hard to blend, and I find the best way to do that is to use another eyeshadow on the edges so it's not such a harsh line. It stays on ALL DAY with no issues, and looks just as fresh hours later as it does right when you put it on.I have to say the very best thing about this eyeshadow is how easy it is to clean. You'd think for a color so rich and intense it would leave some stain on your lid, but it doesn't! You'd also think that with its longevity, it would take a lot of scrubbing to remove, BUT IT DOESN'T. You can literally wash it off with just water. So it's like the best of both worlds!I wish they sold these in mini sizes on Sephora because I would really love to try many of the colors without spending a million dollars. I would be all over a mini pack of these!Just to be aware of: the color Twig is definitely more of a red/brown. It's absolutely gorgeous, but as someone with extremely pale cool-toned skin, the red in it wasn't super flattering on me. I ended up giving it to my tan, warm-toned friend and she looks absolutely stunning. All in all, I WANT MORE of these and highly recommend it to everyone. « less
