Not Worth The Money

This product, in my opinion, isn't worth the money.Application on the cheeks was very difficult, leaving them sticky and not blended properly. The cream didn't really sheer out, it just left marks on my cheeks. On the lips the product did not spread at all. It looked almost cakey and even with a lipliner it did not work.Maybe in lighter, less noticeable shade it would be okay, but definitely try in store before purchasing.

flawless flush

This is a marvelous cream blush, and for me it's an everyday product. I own every single color because I'm obsessed with it.I am pale/cool toned, so fuchsia (bright pink), petunia (pastel pink) and gerbera (peachy pink) look prettiest. The deeper colors blend into pale skin; but I think if you're darker you'd want the deeper shades so they'd show up--these are poppy (red) and orchid (purpley red).Unique texture--semi-opaque and creamy. The opacity evens your skin texture. Very flattering. This is TOTALLY different than cheek stain, which if you have blemishes/dryness on your cheeks (or rosacea), catches on those and highlights them.I dot over foundation, blend with fingers, then lightly powder. The powder "sets" in place and diffuses my blending. This is WAY better on normal/dry skin than powder blush, which falls of your face and accentuates dry patches. (Unless you buy really quality powder blush, like NARS or Rock & Republic.)Give cream blush a try and you'll see what I mean. This stuff rocks.P.S. I've used it on lips, it's a nice creamy lipstick--but my other much-loved lipcolors take precedence.P.P.S. Mirror! Almost forgot. This baby comes with a nice big mirror inside so if you are using on lips, touching up during the day--perfect.P.P.P.S And the case!!! Can't tell from the photo but the case matches the contents (pink blush is pink case, for example). So easy to find what I'm looking for first thing in the morning! « less

A soft, glowy, natural lit-from-within look

I hate that i waited so long to try this stuff...now I am hooked. I guess there's a reason it's been awarded the winner of InStyle magazines Best Cream Blush for 10 years in a row. It's now my HG blush. I never thought I'd like any cream blush because I tend to have an oily T-zone and I don't like the feel of a lot of liquid/cream makeup products on my face. Boy, was I wrong! I purchased my first Convertible Color in 'Lillium" about a month ago and now I own ELEVEN shades. I have even bought several discontinued shades off ebay I am so smitten with this stuff. I'm a very light blonde with medium skin and green eyes so I can tend to look either washed-out or over-done in certain colors. My favorite shades for my coloring are: Petunia, SweetPea, Fuchsia, Gerbera & Lillium. If you are new to ConvertibleColor, I would suggest starting with Lillium (most 'natural' shade) and then maybe Gerbera or Petunia for that "fresh faced' POP of color. None of them really translate on the skin to the brightness or dullness they appear in the pan. This stuff doesn't sit on top of your skin like powders do. It sinks into your skin and looks like skin only better. It makes you appear to be glowingly healthy from within. You can buff them in to an almost unnoticeable flush or build their intensity up to your personal liking...that's what's really great about them. They are a cream-gel consistency so they are easy to manipulate and blend in. I use a RealTechniques Stippling brush and my fingers to apply. They may feel 'sticky' on your fingers but they do not feel sticky or heavy at all on your face. Nor do they leave a shiny, oily or cakey look or feel on the face and they do not accumulate in,accentuate, or exaggerate lines, flakes or pores. They do not clog pores either, which was a big concern of mine. They stay on during a sweaty workout but wash off easily with soap and water. I swear these things have taken 10 years off my face. Powders (and glitters) are very aging to your looks once you hit your 40s. This stuff also translates very well in photographs. It gives you a extremely natural, healthy glow..not like a product look, but instead like a look of good health & natural beauty. It lets your skin show through. I may be imagining it, but it also seems to give the cheeks a plumped appearance. I love the round, flat packaging. It's pretty & girly and doesn't take up a lot of space. I don't fear it will bust open in my purse. I LOVE how the color of the compact matches the color of the product inside so it's easy to locate the shade i'm looking for in my makeup drawer. It doesn't make a good lip product but you could use it as a "stain" in a pinch with gloss on top. I didn't buy it for my lips anyway and chances are if it was a good lip product it would then suck as a blush. Highly recommend this blush! « less

Petunia

This is a somewhat sheer cream blush that gives a soft natural color to the cheeks! The shade Petunia is a peachy pink shade; absolutely perfect for fair skin. The consistency is creamy, but not greasy so it won't slide off your face. I find it is best applied by gently dabbing it on with your fingers - brushes and sponges absorb the product, and they disturb your foundation underneath. I would suggest a makeup primer like Hourglass, then foundation, then this cream blush. Just don't apply this cream (or any cream for that matter) over powder, as it will get cakey. If you need the color to last ALL DAY, then layer a tiny bit of powder blush over it once it sets, which will lock it in for long wear. Gorgeous shade. Beautiful formula. I'll be purchasing more shades!

Great staying power

I own the convertible color shades in Lilium and Peony and love them both. I'm dying to try Petunia and Gerbera! The colors are pigmented, and the texture is creamy and blendable. I don't have to use a lot of product to get a nice, natural looking flush.I have oily skin and have never had any problems with this product. It stays put on my cheeks and doesn't break me out. I like the Lilium color as a lip color as well, however I rarely use it as such because I don't like how it feels on my lips. It feels suprisingly dry, even if I use a balm after. But I'm so impressed with it as a blush it doesn't matter.I always have one of these colors in my purse. The compact has a mirror in it, which is nice for touch ups, not that I ever need them! I like to take this with me whenever I'm applying make-up on the go. It's so easy to blend out on my cheeks, it's fool proof, even if I'm in a car, or doing several things at once. Love it. Less

What are some good drugstore creme blushes? Preferably something easy to work with and lightweight.
