Easy to apply and lasts all day

I picked these up in store as an impulse buy and I am so glad I did. They are a nice creamy texture and blend easily. The instructions are also easy to follow. I have medium to fair skin tone (I use E.L. Doublewear foundation in 3n1 Ivory Beige) with Smashbox's pore minimizing primer. I especially love that with a Beauty Blender the product blends well without caking or sliding. Another great Smashbox product.

im surprised at the good reviews - not a fan

Personally I am not a fan of this product. I bought it thinking OMG crayons for your face - it doesn't get much easier than that! Wrong! I did not find this product easy to use at all. While the highlight was alright, the bronze was way too dark and didn't blend well. Generally, the crayon like shape and width made application more difficult I found. The highlight being naturally lighter was much easier to blend, but with how dark the bronze and contour were I found blending properly impossible and it just looked like caked on dirt to me. Quite disappointed. I have definitely used other contour kits that are much easier to use and have much better shades. The only reason I didn't give it one star is because I do still use the highlight - But definitely wont be buying again.

Picked this up because it was seriously the only cream stick contour option with an ashy undertone – all of the others at Sephora seem to be quite warm for contouring). Really enjoying it. Good pigmentation (in fact it’s quite easy to go overboard with this!), creamy and easy to blend (I’m using a beautyblender with it and setting it with the cool ashy colour from the KVD Shade + Light face palette). Lasts all day and doesn’t give that dirty look that is easy to get with an ashy contour shade. My only qualm with it is that it claims to be universal. I’m quite fair, so the colours are perfect for me, but I can’t see this working for anybody with a medium skin tone or darker (though, as I haven’t tried I can’t be sure).

Great Product for Everyone

I cannot say enough about this product! First, I am the literal worst at contouring. I had no idea how it worked, let alone how to apply it. There are a few reasons that out of all the products I chose, this won out. 1) This comes with a pamphlet on the inside that shows you exactly how to do it if you are a newbie like I am. It spelled it out enough where I wasn't looking drastically different but still good! 2) The creamy texture stays on. I normally make it a little darker than needed but that's because I go over it with powder later to lighten it up. When i take it off at night, those three tones are very much there. It's long lasting. 3) The fact that it is a three piece set (you don't have to buy individually) AND those pencils are filled all the way to the bottom. Which means its going to take a lonnnnng time before its done. I have had these for over a year and half, and I still am not even half-way done. When I am...a year and a half from now, then this is what I'm getting.

So buttery!

The texture is so creamy and smooth and it blends amazingly with a damp beauty blender. I find that on the days I use this under my powder contour or even alone, I look very sculpturesque, but in the most natural way possible. I just wish that they sold the contour shade separately because that's all I use, really.
