pore minimizing

it's surprising long lasting, you don't need much, you can build the coverage, its lightweight, it doesn't feel greasy whatsoever, and it minimizes your pores

the max coverage you can reach is almost a medium which is perfect for what i need -pores and red spots

water resistant

medium coverage

i am happy with this tinted sunscreen, it is light medium coverage, very natural, soft finish

if you're looking for a "foundation" with medium to full coverage, this is not the product for you and you should be looking in a different area of the store (cosmetics)

New HG foundation/base

I've found my new HG base in this product! I use this everyday and it has replaced my LM Oil-Free Tinted Moisturizer. I find that the finish is PERFECT. It's dewy and matte at the same time. Hard to describe but my friends have complimented me on the makeup and that it gives a dewy glow yet not oily looking. I also have worn this all night and never had to blot or powder. The LM TM looked good but it was on the shinier side and it required me to buff more into my face to blend. On the flip side, this is so easy to apply. I can apply it with my fingertips. It doesn't required extra buffing to blend in at all. I have #2 and it matches perfectly. From what I've read, even though there are only 3 shades - the shades are very forgiving. It is definitely buildable coverage and doesn't look cakey at all. Absolutely does not oxidize at all. Regarding the sun protection in this product. As a health care professional, I would recommend this to any patient. I prefer physical protectants versus chemical protectants such as avobenzene. It is much more stable and also better suited for sensitive skin since it just sits on top. This product contains titanium dioxide which falls into the physical category. This is also broad spectrum - UVA and UVB. I wanted to point this out since another reviewer that seems to be here to promote another brand made a claim that this is just a cheap sunscreen when it fact contains great ingredients. Overall - absolutely love. This is the first foundation/base I've purchased that makes me look forward to applying makeup. Also the first where I look forward to using it all up and buy MORE and MORE!

I cant think of one bad thing to say

I have bought this product 4 times now, and it is hands down my favorite tinted moisturizer and i have tried most of the other brands on here. i use it for the purpose of covering redness and acne when i need to leave the house but dont want to wear actual make up to give my skin a chance to recover from all that stuff. i have really light skin and most things will oxidize on me really badly so it is hard to find a product that covers things and doesn't turn bright orange. This product is capable of covering moderately severe blemishes and discoloration if you apply it with a proper makeup brush and build the coverage. it will not look like a full coverage foundation but if your skin is getting bad and you dont wanna wear actual foundation that will make it worse this will at least cover most the redness and tone down whatever you have going on. it covers more once it has dried and set so if you feel like its not covering well enough give it like 10 minutes before you get mad lol. it has a fragrance like most high end foundations that are perfumed but i like the smell, its not too strong and smells tend to bother me. what i like most about this product is my face always looks better after ive worn this all day and take it off, it actually improves the condition of my skin. this product has never broken me out or clogged my pores. It is a tinted moisturizer so the feeling its going to give your skin will be like a thick moisturizing cream that will transfer if you touch it, you may feel like its going to clog your pores while wearing it as it can be a bit sticky and thick but it doesn't look thick or cakey, it comes off easily with a cleanser and i never feel like i have to double cleanse. so if you want something thats going to dry completely this is probably not what youre looking for. i also like the price point. 35 bucks for a product that will last me 3 to 6 months while using it to cover my whole face nearly every day makes it worth it to keep repurchasing. Less

Lightweight, light coverage

When I first bought this, I was coming from a heavy CC cream that had SPF 30 and made my face look very "finished." I live in Hawaii, and with the summer sun, I was looking for something that had a little more protection. I tried this, thinking it was going to be like my CC cream, but it's not. It's lightly moisturizing and the coverage is extremely light. The No. 2 gives my face a subtle glow that matches my tan (I have strong Eastern European genes, so pale is my default setting) and looks like skin, only better. Because it's not heavy, I'm not afraid of putting on a good coating to make sure I'm getting the full sun protection, and the light look is more appropriate for when I'm outside in the blazing sun. I have combination skin and have not had any problems with this making my T-zone too oily, but I had recently switched to Shiseido's Ibuki line, which has at least done a nice job of balancing out my oily tendencies. I think this is a great one-jobber IF you're looking for super-light coverage. If you want more coverage, this is not the product for you. « less

Easy Application, Long-Lasting; Divine!

This product is a dream! For daily makeup use and UV protection, I've been using a BB cream in another department store brand, but have found their formula too thick and dry to achieve full and uniform coverage. While Shiseido's Urban Environment Tinted UV Protector obviously isn't a BB cream, it does everything I had hoped for from a BB cream: the creamy formula applies in seconds, blends beautifully, offers lightweight coverage, has an SPF factor, and maintains a beautiful finish through sweat and Florida's humidity. The wonderful thing about this product is that you can achieve light or medium coverage. It hides my large pores and acne scars (I'm 28 and still have problem skin) well enough that I treat this as though it's a foundation, yet it's so lightweight I feel as though my skin is bare. This product easily lasts through my morning workout, but of course I wash it off and reapply before starting my day. The 2ml sample I received lasted for two applications, so this 30ml tube should easily last about a month. As for color, my complexion is between fair and medium, with golden undertones, and Shade 2 is perfect for me. Also, I should add that this has far more pigmentation to it than I expected from a tinted product, which you may or may not like. This can be set with powder to last all day. It has a light, pleasant scent, and doesn't irritate my eye area. Divine! « less

Not for dry skin

I got color 1 since I'm somewhat pale. I have dry, sensitive skin that's not acne-prone. I'm going to be honest here, because this product has a lot of good reviews but it may not be for everybody.I've used it about 5 times now on different occasions, and each time this makes me flake and gives me dry patches. It's also made my forehead bumpy with tiny pink bumps because I don't think it's breathable or lightweight at all and definitely not moisturizing. It has very little coverage (of course it's a tinted moisturizer) but for some reason it feels really heavy on me, I can definitely feel that I'm wearing something. I've shaken the tube thinking maybe it separated, but it didn't change anything. I forgot that I bought it because I was waiting to finish my previous moisturizer, and now it's too late to return it... ugh. Less
