Brilliant!!!

This by far is the best eye cream I have ever used!!! I was recently living in Europe when I ran out of this eye cream. I decided to use other eye creams that were popular there...OMG bad idea!!! As soon as I got back in the states I went to Sephora and purchased another jar of this! I look back at pictures when I wasn't using this eye cream and my eyes look tired, my under eye looks dry and I honestly look older:( I never realized how amazing this eye cream was until I didn't have it!!!The best thing about this eye cream is that it truly keeps your skin moist. It is very concentrated so you only have to use a small amount. I will put it on before I go to bed and when I wake up my skin is STILL MOIST under my eyes!*BE CAREFRUL if you have sensitive skin. I have acne prone sensitive skin and have to be very careful what products I use. I started breaking out above the apples of my cheeks because I was spreading the product down to far. Make sure just to keep it under your eyes if your skin is like mine.I use this cream mostly at night and it last 6 months!!! I prefer an eye cream with SPF during the day so I use Dior's eye cream with SPF 20.... However, in the winter months or when my skin gets dry I will use this in the AM as well until my lines disappear:)*It takes 5-7 days before you will notice a difference. Just be faithful and keep using it daily. You will be AMAZED watching your fine lines fade away! « less

Worked at first...

So I got this as a free sample about 4-5 months ago and didn't think to touch it because I don't have wrinkles! Or didn't...Well, I started getting them lately and I think it's a cause of dry weather and horrendous allergies. Within a month wrinkles just appeared out of nowhere! I found this in my sample pouch and immediately started using it! I put it on at night, in the morning and as a touch up over my concealer at lunch. It seemed to work at first, but it is VERY HYDRATING. Almost to the point where it doesn't soak into the skin. Then I noticed that a couple days in it wasn't making a difference and all of a sudden I was getting puffier eyes and dry skin (irritation) and it started flaking. The concealer I wear would cling to the dry skin and not stay on the rest of my under-eye.I will NOT use this again, I can't afford an allergic reaction such as this and I'm not known to have sensitive skin...ever. « less

The best I have tried (and I’ve tried plenty)

I want to begin by stating that I am 24 years old, and while I have no “actual” lines or wrinkles, so to speak, I have very dry skin and big, sunken eyes which are surrounded by dark circles.Because of my dry skin, and how deep set my eyes are, the skin under my eyes can get kind of crepey, and crease my concealer etc.I got this eye cream because my under eye area can get crepey and patchy because of the dryness. I’ve used many eye creams including those from Farmacy, Estée Lauder, Origins, Kiehls, and Bare Minerals among others. This cream gets 5 stars from me because it is the most effective one I have used to date and it is now my HG.The Benefiance cream is intensely hydrating. It provides 24hr moisture, even though I only use it once at night before bed. My under eye area stays moist throughout the day. It has helped the dryness around my eyes immensely. This cream is such a luxurious one, and it is a treat putting it on every night. That said, it is very very emollient and I cannot wear it under my makeup. That’s why I only use it at night. Still, it is perhaps the best skincare product I own. There’s a slight fragrance to it. The fragrance is actually muted and sophisticated one which dissipates when the cream is applied. I am normally sensitive to fragrance and this one did not have a negative effect on my skin. This cream is costly, yes. However I think the investment is totally worth it. Believe me, you need about a dot of this cream to cover your whole eye area. I’m glad they gave the little spatula with it, because it’s so easy to pick up more and go overboard with this one. I’ve had my jar since the start of July, and there is barely a dent on the surface.I love this eye cream and will continue to purchase it. « less

Extremely rich and hydrating, perfect for winter m

I'm 31 (soon to be 32) and thankfully aging concerns are not a huge issue with my eyes -- yet. Accordingly, an eye cream for me is more about prevention, creating a solid canvas for when I apply eye makeup, and dealing with other eye related issues like puffiness and dullness (particularly after a long night out). I was excited to try this Shiseido eye product since I'd heard good things about the brand in general. My first impressions were that this is an extremely hydrating eye cream. The texture is MUCH thicker than I'm used to and feels quite rich when applied to the skin. I'm generally used to a much thinner, more lightweight cream. As it is now February and very cold and dry in Chicago the thickness of the cream is a plus for me. I could see where this might be overkill in the summer months or in a more humid climate, but when the dry winter winds are blowing it makes my delicate eye skin feel very pampered and protected. Even from the first use I felt a lot of the dryness and itchy feeling I can get in this area was relieved. It also feels very pleasant on the skin, applying it with my fingers feels like a treat and is a nice way to give more of that spa/facial-like vibe to my everyday beauty routine. As someone who is sensitive to smells I also like that the smell of this is subtle and not overpowering.I also like how well this works under makeup. I didn't have any issues applying an eye makeup primer and makeup over the top. I still found that I was getting the same long wear I've come to expect out of my eye makeup and didn't find that it pilled or made other makeup products apply unevenly. Undereye concealer glides on nicely over the top.As for anti-aging benefits, for me it's been too soon to tell (and is made especially difficult by the fact I'm using this more for prevent signs of aging rather than repair it). I do think it makes the skin around my eyes look brighter and healthier. I'm not sure I've seen any noticeable difference in the appearance of my fine lines, though they are quite subtle at this point.Overall, I quite like this eye cream. I think if you're looking for a richer, thicker feeling cream it is a great pick. « less

Great for Dry Under Eyes!

I have severely dry skin and it is even worse under my eyes. It’s to the point that when I wear makeup, it appears as though my skin is cracking. I’ve tried layering eye creams and tried all types of eye creams from brands ranging from Clinique, Origins, Elizabeth Arden, Peter Thomas Roth, and Lancome to name a few, but they did nothing for my under eyes. I was hesitant to buy this, who knows why; it most definitely cannot be because of the price (insert sarcasm) because I humbly and honorably sacrifice my paycheck to Sephora every month. I did pick this up during the VIB sale, but I can say that even without a discount, I will be repurchasing this, and will even so for my mom.I hate to use this phrase, but with this eye cream, a little really, really does go a long way because it is extremely rich. However, it does not in any way feel greasy or oil or is it thick. I must say that for me, it is the perfect consistency. I’m the type of person to avoid thick creams because I break out insanely when I apply it anywhere on my face. I’ve learned this the hard way as I thought dry skin = apply thick, rich creams.Anyways, this actually feels moisturizing during and after application. It doesn’t sit on the skin and absorbs well. It has also helped with my under eye wrinkles that I have been so stressed and concerned about as they do appear to be less prominent and less visible through the consistent use of this product. My undereye brightening products blend into that area flawlessly now and I no longer have the dry, cracking undereyes that I have prior to using this. I consciously pat my undereye area during the day sometimes, and it feels so soft and supple that I am so happy! « less
