I’m so upset with this brand, I was sent this palette and I can’t use it at all! My skin tone isn’t even the darkest and I can’t use this palette at all, I don’t think this brand caters to darker skin types and that’s frustrating #donated

@Jessica Murray wow it’s almost insulting I’m sorry that happened feels like such a waste when a product u spent money on sucks. They need to take darker skin tones into consideration! Their foundation is also a joke lol very disappointing

@Cierra Johnson OMG. If you look at the shades you will see that almost none of those colors would appear on my skin tone lol I was so disappointed but I have a friend that has fair complexion so I ended up just giving it to her lol

Nyx-matte finish setting spray they have , matte and dewy as well both by nyx. you can get them at Walgreens or online on Amazon for cheaper and in a bigger bottle just a little tip hee hee😉☺️✨ I’ve only tried the matte setting spray I have not tried the dewy kind but I’m sure it works just as well the matte one does. It’s amazing my make up stays in place all day love love love this product!!!!

Currently searching for products to use on my birthday and I need advice on primers, longwearing foundations, concealers and powders with no flashback. So far I’m interested in trying Charlotte Tilbury’s most recent foundation and the pressed powder. Any luxury recommendations that are worth the splurge and hold up on combo/oily skin? I struggle with a lot of shine mainly between my brows and around my nose :)

What are some products from The Ordinary that I should try? Ive always wanted to try products from them because i’ve heard they were good but i’ve never known where to start. For reference my skin is combo but more on the dry side and also very sensitive (also pls don’t recommend cleansers) thank you!!

I think this is a good moisturizer for sensitive skin, it’s fragrance free and very hydrating. I really love their serums too, especially the Granactive Retinoid in Squalane and Caffeine Eye Serum if you have dark circles.

So I did this look a while ago and I really liked it. I don’t have much experience or expertise with eyeshadow and I’m always looking to get better. What do you think and what can I improve or experiment with? 💞

For someone that doesn’t have much experience with eyeshadow you shocked me. It looks really good. Maybe if you wanted to do a sharper line you could use a piece of tape or a piece of paper or something with a sharp edge. I believe there is also things you could buy for that too. I don’t know how you like to do things but if you wanted to elevate this look a bit you could have added some highlight to your brow bone. All in all you did a pretty good job!

@Leslie Acevedo yeah no problem! Well for brow bone highlight I would probably use a powdered highlight instead of a liquid. Although there is an option when it comes to this. There is pencils and of course powders themself. Depending on your preference the Anastasio Beverly Hills highlighting duo pencil is pretty good and it retails for about $23. It has a double-ended matte and shimmer brow highlighter thats formulated with vitamin E and features light-diffusing pigments that even skin tone. I’ll link that below.

Any clear lip glosses without glitter in them? Tried out the NYX plumping gloss and it burned my lips. Also on a budget so anything under $15 would be great😊

For sensitive and acne scars I highly recommend The Ordinary’s Niacinamide formula. Niacinamide is a good all around ingredient for these issues. The Ordinary is also one of the cheapest skin care brands out there- check them out! As for figuring out the rest of your routine- I really recommend going on YouTube and watching Hyram’s channel. His skin care 101 series in particular. He’s a skin care specialist and does a good amount of research of the ingredients of the products he tries. It’s really informative and it’s been a huge help for me! Good luck! :)

Moisturizer Hello everyone! Lately, parts of skin have been on the dry side so I’m looking to see if anyone can recommend a good moisturizer! My problem with moisturizers has always been that my skin is combination and sensitive so it’s hard to find one that works for both

I’ve asked for recommendations for foundations a bit lately but I always ask for drugstore products. Now I’m just asking for any suggestions for foundations for dry skin, my go to has been e.l.f. Flawless Finish Foundation but now with the weather changing even it’s looking kind of dry and flaky on me, even though I’ve switched to my thick moisturizer and prep my skin thoroughly beforehand. I really want to find a foundation with good coverage that’s also very hydrating and I just haven’t had any luck with any I’ve tried so far, so any suggestions are much appreciated.

I have dry, acne prone skin and I have been trying everything to get rid of my acne for the past year! nothing works (curology, neutrogena light mask, acne washes, tea tree oil, mario badescu- you name it!) does anyone have any recommendations for a natural at home remedy for acne? I’m done with all the chemicals ingredients on my face.

I know you said no chems but the only thing that worked for me was 1 session of a chemical peel (ask for 7 layers) and drink ONLY water in place of any other beverage. ONLy WaTeR!! Don’t believe me, look at my before and afters. Still can’t believe it’s me. - 1 session of a strong chemical peel -Drink Water ONLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! -Oxy gently in circular motions until face starts feeling tingly. -and an oil free moisturizer! Let me know how it goes! Good luck!

So this could sound crazy but if you have tried a bunch of things your skin could be dehydrated and overproducing oil to compensate. Maybe try extra hydration at night followed by a non stripping cleanser in the morning. I also recommend daily use of niacinamine to help reduce pore size and regulate sebum production.

With so many people moving into serums and acids just a reminder: You should NOT mix these VITAMIN C + AHAS/BHAS : Combining retinol with Vitamin C is a recipe for peeling, redness and irritation, in short, a total disaster for the health of your skin RETINOIDS + AHAS/BHAS: damages skin moisture barrier and can cause irritation, redness, dry skin over time; use separately and sparingly RETINOIDS + VITAMIN C: may cause over exfoliation, resulting in increased skin and sun sensitivity; separate into day/night routines Benzoyl peroxide + vitamin C OIL-BASED + WATER-BASED. GLYCOLIC ACID + SALICYLIC ACID: too many acids can strip the skin and damage its ability to recover NIACINAMIDE + VITAMIN C: use in careful moderation. Some studies show that They stabilize each other some shoe that mixing vitamin c can result in a niacin flush (red irritation to the skin). -Retinols should mostly be used at night - Vitamin C should mostly be used at night -Wait 20 mins when layering multiple serums (if you find your skin can tolerate it in one setting) -Don’t forger your SPF 30 during the day -When introducing acids to your face “purging” is only normal to a certain extent

@Ayan Qureshi you go to one website which is Paulas choice and not any other website that was reviewed by a dermatologist .. no where does it says it was .. I’ve given you three different website (healthline, WEBMD, and a professional Chemist) and all you have is a Paulas choice website lmaooo

Anything that will help with my acne on cheeks😖? I’m so insecure about it and I’ve been having it since last year. It will come and go away. I can’t find anything for it I’ve tried so many face washes, toners, moisturizers Etc and nothing seems to help does anybody recommend something that will definitely work. I was also taking minocycline but unfortunately it stopped working for me.

While you are waiting for clear skin use a pink concealer (don’t use green) to color correct the acne ( under your foundation).

@Brie Brodeur omg thank you I will use it later on, I use makeup a lot but recently I haven’t been able to cause it just come right off or it doesn’t stay on and just looks ugly with all the acne under and just worsens/irritates my skin even more
