A new take on 'balms'

Rosebud Salve has a soft rose scent and smooth texture that makes it perfect for lips. However, I've used it on my finger tips and cuticles which are very dry and rough, especially in the cold weather. It doesn't have the waxy consistency of other balms and salves. Rosebud Perfume Co. please make it in a larger size!

The BEST lip balm yet!

My husband's lips develop a crack in the middle of his bottom lip sometimes, especially during colder months, and nothing would work to help heal. So I did some research and looked at reviews of so many products and came across this. It had such great reviews, so I got him a pot of this stuff and within a few weeks, his crack was healed! AND my 4yo son gets dry skin around his mouth A LOT and could only use regular black label Chapstick without scent or flavoring because anything else would have a burning sensation, but this doesn't hurt him at all, even with the light scent. This has been a great purchase, and it's not just for lips, my hubby gets rough skin around his elbows and it's good for that, too! I liked it so much I went back and bought the same product in a tube to throw in my purse! I love to use it after exfoliating my lips! Highly recommend!

Greasy and drying

Whenever I put this on, my lips get so dry. The product does not have much staying power and your right back putting it on again which in turn dries out your lips even more. Its a viscous cycle. I only keep it around at this point because I don't want to waste it but Its definitely not my go-to if I had anything else around!

I have been searching for an everyday lip balm to keep my severely and chronically chapped lips from always being dry and peeling. No matter how many bottles of water I chug, my lips always seem to be chapped. Consequently, I could never pull off lip sticks, not to mention a matte one. When I bought this balm, initially I liked the non sticky consistency but as the day went on, I notices how much softer my lips were. After a few days of continual wear and drinking an adequate amount of water, my lips are no longer flakey with dead skin--they are smooth and ready for even a matte lip! Also, this tin is larger than your average sized one so it seems to be a good value for the amount and results. Plus, the ingredients seem to be more on the natural side. One tip: like most lip balms, it gets harder when exposed to the cold so you might need to warm it up by swirling your finger on the the product a little to get a nice, creamy texture again for easy application. I do not like using my finger for lip balms due to the fact that there's no where to was it off and plus hand are always touching dirty door knobs and such. The idea of putting those contaminated fingers in my balm is a little bit of a turn off so I decided to buy it in the tube form. I only tried it once so far but it seems to be the same. If I do use my finger for application, I rub the excess on the skin between my thumb and pointer finger (the driest place on my hands). Seems to work fine. I like to use a slightly thicker layer before bed to last the whole night. In the morning I wake up with soft lips.

Luxury lips

For about a week now my lips have been killing me. They are so chapped and dry that they actually hurt. I was desperate to find something that could make my lips feel better. I had already bought several other things with no success. So I figured why not try this too. This stuff is literally a miracle my lips felt better after one use. By day 2 problem solved! Now I use this daily just because it works well, I like the smell, and i don't want to have dry lips again. That's far as opening the tin just twist it while you pull and it will pop right open. After opening it 5 or 6 times it will simply just pull apart with no problem. Even my 4 year old can open it. I am not the biggest fan of putting my finger into a pot (sanitary reasons) but I'm going to finish this then start buying the squeeze tubes. It may take some time to finish this because you really get a lot of product. Its not long lasting you do have to reapply. It is a shiny finish but no different than any other product. I think it makes my lips look plump and healthy. If you apply a thin layer it's not that shiny. If you pack it on then yes you will look greasy. Its all about proper application.

The weather changes are killing my lips. I usually use aquaphor(?) or the Vaseline chapstick, but they just aren’t getting the job done right now. Any recommendations to help with dry lips?
