Wonderful product!

I have never used a primer when wearing make-up. It was always concealer, foundation, blush, etc. Make-up has come a long way since I was a teen so I figured why not try something new. The Revlon Photo-ready Brightening Primer came up on the sparks program and I decided to choose it to see what the fuss was all about. With this primer, it states you can use it without foundation for smoother and brighter skin and a more even tone. You can use this with foundation to help your make-up last longer. I always had issues with my make-up not lasting all day. This has really helped make it last. It comes in a pump style bottle which is .91 ounces. You really don't need to pump much as I found a little goes a long way for me. The description states that this primer will stay good for 2 years once it is opened. The texture of the primer is silky smooth. It is very light weight on my skin and when it dries I cannot tell I have anything on at all. I love the feeling of being natural. It has a pleasant light scent and the look of it is almost opalescent but not so much that it affects your natural look. It leaves my skin feeling so soft. My foundation goes on smoothly on top of this primer. The primer also gives my make-up a smooth look.I would not use a sponge to apply this as it will just get soaked up. I used my fingers to gently apply it all over my face. Revlon is a cruelty free company. Overall, I am happy with this product. I plan to continue using this product and I do recommend it. You will absolutely love the results! « less

A Miracle in a Bottle

The best primer I have ever used. EVER.Smooth and easy to apply, Revlon's Photoready primer is my official queen of my beauty stash. When used in moderation (a little bit goes a long way!), it will not clog pores, cause breakouts, over dry, or cake up. However, because of it's mattifying effects, I highly recommend using a moisturizer first for those with sensitive or dry skin.Worn below my foundation and powder, it provides me incredible wear for up to 18 hours, even in humid temperatures! It's incredible coverage fills in lines, wrinkles, pores, and more!TIPS:1. This shine-control formula can be drying to sensitive skin! Use a moisturizer first if you need!2. A little goes a long way! Be sure to apply foundation immediately after to ensure optimum smoothness! Too much and you'll clump or clog your pores.3. YES! It does work for eyelids! Just don't get it in your eyes!!!4. Pop off the black lid with a screwdriver or spoon when the pump can no longer reach the remaining product. With a brush end or stick, you can scoop up the remaining with ease! Don't forget to put the cap on between uses to keep it from drying out! Less

Very disappointing

Yet another classic example of a brand trying to "reformulate and improve" an already great product. I get what Revlon was trying to do here, but this new version bears so little resemblance to the old, cult-classic primer that I was left very disappointed. The old line of Revlon Photoready primers, especially the Color Correcting (sadly discontinued) and the Pore Reducing ("upgraded" to this) were the only things that kept my extremely oily skin matte all day, didn't break me out, and actually made my skin look good without makeup. They worked wonderfully under any foundation and got rave reviews. This new iteration does not have that creamy texture that did such a good job at smoothing skin and filling pores, nor does it keep me matte at all. The texture is thin, even greasy, and makes my skin turn red after application. I didn't see any pore perfecting properties and the primer pills up under anything I use it with. As other reviews have mentioned, the texture does make you think of putting a layer of saran wrap on your face. Please just bring back the original line of Photoready Primers. Yes, the packaging on those needed to be changed, but not the product itself.

The Revlon PhotoReady Brightening Primer is an amazing product. It's easy to apply, smooth, light-weight, long-lasting, and creates a very nude/natural look. It's efficient for everyday uses, it works on all skin-types, great for going out, it's good on sensitive skin, and handy for travel as well. It's super easy to blend and can be contributed smoothly and evenly. This lightweight primer smooths out your skin, demolishing discoloration, creating a canvas on your face that will also keep makeup in place. The brightening pearls in the primer abolsutley illuminates your face iredecently and evens out your skin tone. This product feels great on your skin and lasts all day whether it goes on your face with or without makeup. This product especially works great for making my oily skin look more matte. Making a clear, even, clean layout that illuminates your face. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
