What’s the best beauty blender? I’ve been using the real techniques sponge but want to try something else?

I always rebuy this one, smells great, a little goes a long way and leaves brushes very smooth

Makeup Sponge Any recommendations for a good affordable makeup sponge? I’ve tried the Real Techniques, and it’s a little stiff for my personal taste. I’ve also tried EcoTools and I like that one better but I still want to find one I love.

So my eye has a deep crease with oily eyelids and it is resulting in the top half of my eyeshadow always wearing off prematurely and I wanted to know if anyone could recommend any products to use to help combat this issue/ any eyeshadow blending techniques are appreciated

I have very hooded eyes too, they can be frustrating to work with. But I’ve been using this primer for a couple of years and it’s amazing, my eyeshadow lasts with no fading or creasing even after 10-11 hours, and since you have oily lids putting an oil control primer underneath will probably help a lot. And if you’re interested in finding new techniques, Wayne Goss has several YouTube videos on hooded eyes and they’re really helpful.

How do you wash your brushes? I use Dawn, and my little cleaning mat, but it does take me a little while to get through all 30+ brushes so I’m trying to explore other options. Also, I’m looking for the best method to clean my Real Techniques sponge too.

I use the johnsons baby shampoo to wash my brushes and beauty sponges and it works really well. I have sensitive skin and it doesn’t irritate me. I use a spinning makeup brush cleaner set to clean my brushes and it works really well and you can find some relatively cheap ones on amazon! Hope this helps!! :)

@Beth Jansen yes^ baby shampoo is gentle and non irritating, dish soap can be too hard on brush fibers as well

i really want to start introducing bronzer into my daily routine but i’m scared of it looking bad. any tips on products, brushes, and techniques? #bronzer #beginner #seekingadvice

I was super new to makeup (still kind of am ..) and the Sephora sales lady recommended “Sweetie Pie” bronzer by too face . Seriously ...IN LOVE ! I have a light skin tone with cool undertones and combo skin ...was terrified to use a bronzer because I can never tan well. This stuff is amazing , has peachy tones to balance the bronze , and smells so lovely . I swipe it across my upper forehead , cheekbones toward my ears (it can replace a blush ), and a touch on my nose . It was the first really “high end “ makeup product I didn’t regret buying (30$) and I plan to replace it soon . I’ve also broken it twice (a trip overseas ) and did the alcohol trick to fix it ...still works like a charm and smells just the same . I’m not into high end brushes , but highly recommend Real techniques bronzer/blush brush . 🌺

This stuff is amazing for evening out skin tone and getting rid of dark spots. Also, if you have a pimple coming in, take a cotton pad and have it rest on there for about 15 min.

Your going to think I’m crazy, but I have always had dry peeling lips and nothing has ever worked for me, and I’ve tried it all. I saw something called lanolips, which is a lanolin based lip product but it is way over priced. I had some left over lansinoh nipple balm from nursing my son. Let me tell you, my lips heal over night! And it’s much cheaper than the expensive brand! They are both pretty much the same, I figured if it’s safe to put on my nipples and my son to nurse after I apply it’s safe for my lips.

I have found that witch hazel as a toner and/or 100% aloe vera gel work wonders. Plus the aloe is a nice natural primer for makeup - (if you have dry or combination skin, you may want to mix the aloe vera with your daily moisturizer). Hope this helps!

this foundation is LIKE FULL FULL FULL coverage and leaves your skin looking natural. I AM OBSESSED. Hopefully you live in New York or California because there are actual stores you can go in but you can also order online. Hopefully they are having a sale for Black Friday if you live in the US. I am very fair with a neutral undertones and I use the color NB. It looks darker in the pan then on your skin. The price is amazing Are usually get the 55 ML for 30 bucks and it lasted me a year and some. I wear it everyday. Honestly I strongly recommend their make up line. They have everything for all skin types.

You definitely need some good color correcting products. It mostly depends on the stage and color of the bruise. What does it look like now?

What brands are similar to Colourpop? I really love Colourpop but I also want to branch out into other brands while still looking for the same things such as how CP consistently releases palettes and other products that are always good quality while also being affordable because let’s be real, makeup gets expensive FAST.

All concealers, sunscreens, lotions, etc feel so heavy on my skin and usually cause me to breakout. I have sensitive skin that’s also combination. I live in a humid southern state but I’ll moving up north with a real winter so lotion is going to be super important for me. Any suggestions? #lotion #sensitive #dry #oily #acne #concealer #sunscreen

Exfoliating!! I would suggest a physical exfoliant (like the Alba Acnedote) once a week or so & then a chemical exfoliant (like the Aveda exfoliant), which will be gentler, once a day
