I have tried MANY acne face washes including Murad, Dermalogica, CeraVe, Proactiv, and I’m currently using Proactiv MD. I’ve also tried getting acne facials and taking medication and putting many different topicals on my face given to me by my dermatologist. I’ve had really stubborn acne for 4 years, and it won’t go away! Is there a face wash that works for oily, acne prone skin?
So I have combination, acne prone, sometimes dry, sometimes oily skin. I used Proactiv for years but I’d like to try a new skincare line for my sensitive skin. I need something that will be gentle but effective. Any recommendations would be so appreciated!
hey! no matter what i try, i cant get rid of all of my acne. it’s not too bad right now, however i still break out in little groups. ive tried like everything - drug store brands, name brands, proactiv, curology, everything. i am currently using african black soap as a face wash. it seems to be working okay but i want something that actually works really well!
So, long story time:
About a year ago I was using the Cetaphil gentle face wash and heard good reviews about the Cetaphil bar soap and started using that instead. All of a sudden I got terrible acne and it has not stopped since. I had PERFECT skin before I tried that with only the occasional hormonal breakout (being a girl sucks , ladies). I do not know what skincare products are rhe best. I’ve been on antibiotics (worked great but interferes with my other medications), I’ve been on proactiv for 4 months and haven’t seen a difference at all, and I’ve tried changing my diet (took a food sensitivity test as well) and nothing is working. Has anyone tried this skincare routine?? If so, how is it?
Ever since I’ve been in quarantine I’ve been amping up my skincare routine. I cleanse, tone, moisturize and occasionally use a serum or Rosehip seed oil as well... and I do this 1-2x a day. I have pretty decent skin but I can’t seem to understand why these angry breakouts keep popping up randomly, especially on the lower region of my face. Perhaps hormonal? I’m trying proactiv on them, I face mask about twice a week, I just don’t get it. Maybe I’m using too much product? Or washing my face only in the middle of the day too much rather than before bed or in the morning? Please help me understand haha because when I get pimples like this they turn into dark spots and last for weeks sometimes even months :/
Hello! Does anyone have experience with the glossier skincare line? My friend says it’s great for her and she also has acne and sensitive skin, but I know everyone is different. Proactiv has not helped that much so far. Any feedback is appreciated!!
