MIRA BEAUTY Enables Industry's First Relief Fund Upon 2020 Shutdown

An emergency philanthropic action to support the beauty professional community.

SAN FRANCISCO, CA, March 17, 2020 — MIRA BEAUTY, the world’s first universal store and collaborative library for makeup and skincare, today announced the creation of an emergency relief fund to provide financial support to beauty professionals and makeup artists being furloughed or forced into sudden unemployment, in the wake of the pending nationwide shutdown.

Effectively immediately, MIRA BEAUTY will be redistributing donations to out-of-work beauty professionals in the form of stipends. To enable and transfer donations to stipend recipients, MIRA BEAUTY set up a crowdfunded PayPal account. The company invested an initial and symbolic $10,000 donation.

"We stand with each and every beauty professional who is affected by store closures, job and appointment cancellations across the country, whether you are a Sephora advisor, salon owner, or independent makeup artist," said Brandon Garcia, Co-Founder & COO of MIRA BEAUTY. "We call on the beauty industry — brands, creators, media companies — to help raise awareness for the beauty service community and encourage donations."
