BOMB

So, I tried this concealer a few different ways for a few weeks. The first being my normal routine NOT using the finishing powder. So liquid foundation, concealer & then setting with a loose powder. Second, I used a powder foundation. So concealer, setting powder & then powder foundation. Again no finishing powder. The third & fourth way, I did my normal liquid & powder foundation routines & then added the finishing powder on top of my “highlighted” areas. Throughout the weeks I’ve noticed that the finishing powder blurred my under eyes but also looked really shiny & emphasized my pores as the day went on. When I didn’t have it’ll the finishing powder on I felt my concealed areas looked healthy & didn’t have any weird caking or emphasized pores. If you have dry skin I think you’ll like this concealer. I have combination skin so this will work until warmer months come. I also like it for more “natural” days because it is very hydrating & this particular color blends well with my natural tone. Only down fall is that it feels like you have makeup on when you wear this. Even when I’d get a little dewy it would rub off super easy or smudge. I didn’t break me out even being full coverage. Overall, I would recommend to those who have dryer skin or if you’re looking for a healthy looking concealer.Pros: Instantly I noticed it was super high coverage. It made my under eyes blurred & flawless. It does feel very hydrating. Does last throughout my normal day, all day long. Didn’t crease. Didn’t look cakey.Cons: I noticed it was a heavy feeling Less

New favorite concealer

To be honest, I didn't have super high hopes for this concealer at first, as I have a dryer skin type and I was nervous this would be too matte or crepey looking under my eyes. Not the case at all. It gives a flawless look to the face; perfected but still looks like skin. It's pretty full coverage (at least to me since I typically go for more light-medium coverage products) but it doesn't look drying or heavy. However, a little goes a long ways. I use a very small amount under my eyes and it blends out nicely. I have also been setting the concealer with the PML undereye power and it makes my skin look so smooth. It also looks nice with the Hourglass veil powder. But if I'm being honest, I don't think this concealer even needs a powder, at least on my skin! It dries down to a satin finish, I would say. I would recommend using a hydrating eye cream though if you do have dry skin. The only "downside" is the color. I use L5, which is supposed to be more neutral toned and in the bottle and upon application, it looks very yellow. A little off-putting at first. But once it's blended out, it looks perfect. I have been on the hunt for my wedding makeup base products and this one seems like a winner! Less

New Favorite for acne?!

When I first started using this concealer, I was using it under my eyes - it's a very full coverage concealer so a tiny amount goes a long way. I loved the demi-matte finish as it looks natural but doesn't crease as a more dewy concealer might. All that said, it wasn't becoming a daily concealer for me - I don't have dark circles as a skin concern (rather-acne!) so a light coverage concealer tends to be more manageable for me. I was about to call this a solid 4 star concealer, recognizing that coverage matters to many, and move back to lighter coverage for myself.HoweverI decided to try it over a breakout, and my goodness - this is my new favorite use for it! Because this concealer has an almost bendy, but still matte, finish to it, it is one of few concealers that doesn't highlight the texture of protruding gunk under the skin (look, sorry - but that is acne!) Because it is so dense, a tiny amount covers that spot. I am so pleased with this concealer! While deep down I'm hoping to never again have a breakout (wishing? wishing upon a star?), I am glad to know that if I do, I have a concealer that will minimize not just the discoloration, but the texture as well! Less

One Concealer to Rule Them All!

Mother does it again of course! I've finally replaced my beloved former concealers and all others with this beauty. So often a concealer is only truly great at one thing like covering dark circles or red marks but SkinFetish concealer is a master of all trades. Anything you wish to conceal you can with this from active zits to old scarring and undereye circles and bags and beyond. I use L1 since that's my foundation shade with shade 9 as my contour based on Pat's recommendation. You can achieve any level of coverage you desire with this and it will make your eyes pop and spots seem yo disappear. Being a theater and film actor, I'm used to coming home with creased and sliding concealer revealing red bumps or dark circles. Not so with Mother McGrath's concealer! I look just as smooth and awake after performing the 8th show of the week with lots of crying and physicality involved. The concealer remains perfect and absolutely natural looking. Shade 9 is a wonderfully subtle contour option for us L1s and its a breeze to use. I adore the brush for both purposes. The powder on the brush is also lovely for blending and setting without cake or dryness. Less

Terrible - not at all what I expected

I have never written a review on Sephora before although I am constantly buying new products, but this concealer was so far from my expectations that I had to. I heard tons of good things about this concealer on social media, and decided to give it a go. People said it was like tarte shape tape, however it was more hydrating. That was not the case at all for me. This concealer made my under eyes incredibly dry and gave me lines I didn’t even know I had. I have combo skin and am 22 years old, however it made me look 80. I’m not kidding my under eyes have never looked so bad. I even had patches of makeup where it was so dry it was flaking. I do use tarte shape tape when I want my makeup to last all day, and although it isn’t the most hydrating concealer it has never made me look overly dry and cakey. I even tried this concealer with different powders and it looked bad every time. For the price this is definitely not worth it. I figured I should write this review as everyone’s saying it’s amazing but I had a completely opposite experience. If you want super full coverage buy hydrating try too faced, if you want something more matte try tarte. If you already hate tarte you’ll hate this even more. Less
