What’s the best eyeshadow palette you own? I’m looking for something versatile. I need nudes and shimmers, glitters would be a bonus but I also want some fun colors too like burgundy and olives. Any ideas?

Recommendations for moisturizer with SPF in it? I hate the feeling of SPF on its own and this girl is 30 so I need to wear it everyday!

This is amazing. It’s a light moisturizer with spf, but it doesn’t feel like a sunscreen at all.

Has anyone has experience with doing their own dermaplaning? Looking and hearing about all the benefits but not sure if I should buy the tool or go to a aesthetician? :)

Personally I just shave my face myself with Japanese facial razors I get from Amazon and I get good results. My skin just feels better and is much smoother (and the hair does not grow back any thicker or darker), I feel like it makes my skincare products more effective and my foundation goes on so much better afterwards. If you do want to try this method just make sure your face is thoroughly cleansed beforehand, use a relatively light hand and moisturize right after. I hope this was at least a little helpful.

What palettes/foundations are best for makeup artists’ kits when doing events/weddings/etc.? Starting freelance and I want to know what other people use outside of my own favorites.

James Charles x Morphe is the nicest and most affordable palette I’ve ever used! It has some pressed pigments which are really nice and a large variety of colors. It’s pretty convenient especially if you don’t want to carry around so many palettes with you!

hey everyone, ur girl needs some help :) i’ve been in search for a good foundation that won’t look cakey, won’t add excess oil to my skin, and won’t lead to break outs. i want something medium-high coverage, but i also want it to look kinda natural, almost as if it’s my own skin?? (which i feel might be too much to ask for haha). i’m currently using the Maybelline SuperStay Foundation (a cheap drugstore foundation) and have tried high end foundations as well, such as the NARS Sheer Glow Foundation, but neither have seemed to give me the look i’m going for...any suggestions?? thank you so much! ❤️

Anyone tint their own brows at home? I’m really wanting to try it but I don’t want to mess it up. I’m leaning towards trying the Just for Men Mustache and Beard dye kit after seeing so many use it on YouTube. Any tips, tricks or suggestions?

put Vaseline around the shape of your brows when tinting them! this helps prevent staining your skin. just for men works great, but I recommend tweezing your eyebrows before you tint them

Does anyone know how to deal with textured skin? 😩 I have combo skin (dry/flaky in some areas but overall gets greasy throughout the day) it’s super annoying to apply makeup because it always ends up looking kinda cakey/flaky even if I’m wearing minimal makeup (just concealer) pls help a sista out!! Currently I wash my face with dermalogica, apply pixi’s glow tonic after, and use a nuxe moisturizer. I’m p much a noob at skincare so pls shed some light with your own skincare routines! #combinationskin #seekingadvice #skincare #texturedskin

Try chemical exfoliation! (Sounds scary but it’s not!) It’s gentler on your skin than physical (face scrubs and brushes) This video is super helpful!

-Exfoliate with any exfoliating face wash -Toner - any -The Ordinary niacinamide and zinc - reduces oil production and shrinks large pores (over time) and reduces inflammation for sensitive or acne prone skin -Neutrogena oil control primer serum - absorbs oil and nourishes face and primes for makeup -Moisturizer - any -Covergirl trueblend mattifying primer -Estée Lauder double wear - does not move or transfer or separate or crease at all -Concealer - any -Laura Mercier setting powder - sets and keeps skin matte -Setting spray - any (I put both serums and mattifying primer around my eyes as well as I have problems with creasing) I know it’s a lot, but I have done so much for my oily skin and nothing has ever worked. 3 hours after applying my makeup it looks awful - separates, creases, cakes, wears off. This regimen keeps my makeup on for at least 12 hours and I did not blot or touch up at all. The serums absorb into the skin so well so they do not feel like extra layers. I am able to touch my face and my makeup does not transfer and my makeup still looks natural and not heavy. Try it!

Hey everybody, I’m new to the whole makeup game and one thing I’ve really been struggling with is eyeshadow. I was wondering if any of you have some criticisms/tips to share? Especially for eyes like mine? Oh and I’d also like to know how I did for doing this kind of look on my own? (Quite recent, maybe a month ago? I don’t wear makeup as often) Personally, I think my makeup looks kinda muddy but I’m usually very hard on myself. I’m completely a beginner and I have no clue what I’m doing lmao

Maybe get some liquid latex when you get your other stuff for your nails. You coat it around your nails on the skin so if nail polish gets on your skin the latex peels off and it’s not there. It’s kind of like using painters tape when painting walls in a house. So it doesn’t go where it’s not supposed too.

Makeup remover for sensitive skin I have really sensitive skin and eye area. My skin is normal to dry and I’m slightly acne prone. My facial cleanser I love but it doesn’t get all the makeup off on its own. Every time I remove my makeup eye area feels so irritated and I’ve tried multiple removers. The outer corners of my eyes can even become raw, I’m not using force to get the makeup off either. This issue has made me wear makeup less than I’d prefer. What are the best makeup removers for this issues, especially for the eye area?

I’ve had a lot of trouble finding an effective makeup remover that didn’t irritate my eyes, too. And I recently discovered a Japanese cleansing oil called Kose White on Amazon. It’s very gentle, absolutely no excessive rubbing needed, doesn’t strip my skin and gets pretty much every trace of makeup off. And it’s only about $9.

So I ordered this remover/cleanser and it’s definitely gonna be part of my routine now. Today I put on my toughest waterproof mascara and it removed it perfectly. I don’t even think I need to double cleanse with it. I had absolutely no irritation from it and my skin looks so clean. Thank you again.

Can someone recommend something for my dark under eyes? I am very pale and I don’t get a lot of sleep and I stress a lot being a full time employee, medical school student, and own my own business on top of my other job. I really want something to help remove them NOT JUST COVER IT UP Something I can use daily and even if I’m not wearing makeup it looks better than it does now. I have considered those ice eye makes you wear to bed, do those work?

I'm on the same boat.. in school, no sleep, very pale person. My under eye circles get pretty blue and purple but the best under eye concealer for me is the Lancôme Maquicomplet...I dab it on and then press in with my fingers! It's a miracle fr! Other than getting more sleep, I haven't found a way to reduce them. The only thing close that I have found is self tanning my face and it really does make them very unnoticeable

@Sofia Carlos I will try this but I am not a fan of self tanning or tanning period so I won’t be using that idea My eyes tend to be more of a bruising so blackish blue/brown

Looking for a CC cream I can use daily or just to go for a natural look. My skin is more on the dry side. Also, do you use CC cream on its own or with powder on top? Helpppp lol

Hey!! You can use powder with a CC cream if you want to. It doesn’t really change anything except for the finish. I love the Thrive Cosmetics CC cream. It is light/medium coverage and absolutely blurs your skin. It’s a bit expensive, but I don’t know about drug store ones. I’ve tried the Revlon and the Maybelline ones, and they’re horrible.
