Anyone know a good way to find your foundation shade online? I have tried shade matchers online but it is always off.

My favorite is Origins VitaZing SPF15 sheer to tint release it’s a moisturizer and a tint to make it look like you have foundation on, I love the way it makes my skin looks.. I’ve had people ask me ‘do you really have foundation on or is that your natural skin tone?’

With so many people moving into serums and acids just a reminder: You should NOT mix these VITAMIN C + AHAS/BHAS : Combining retinol with Vitamin C is a recipe for peeling, redness and irritation, in short, a total disaster for the health of your skin RETINOIDS + AHAS/BHAS: damages skin moisture barrier and can cause irritation, redness, dry skin over time; use separately and sparingly RETINOIDS + VITAMIN C: may cause over exfoliation, resulting in increased skin and sun sensitivity; separate into day/night routines Benzoyl peroxide + vitamin C OIL-BASED + WATER-BASED. GLYCOLIC ACID + SALICYLIC ACID: too many acids can strip the skin and damage its ability to recover NIACINAMIDE + VITAMIN C: use in careful moderation. Some studies show that They stabilize each other some shoe that mixing vitamin c can result in a niacin flush (red irritation to the skin). -Retinols should mostly be used at night - Vitamin C should mostly be used at night -Wait 20 mins when layering multiple serums (if you find your skin can tolerate it in one setting) -Don’t forger your SPF 30 during the day -When introducing acids to your face “purging” is only normal to a certain extent

These are references telling you how antioxidants differ from acids. And that all do not exfoliate.

Just wondering what setting powders my dry skin ladies are using. I actually have only found one that works with my skin and that’s the hourglass veil powder. It’s just super expensive which if it works I gotta do what I gotta do but I’d like other recommendations just in case!

Us dry skin girls should stick to pressed setting powders the loose powders are usually better for oily skin. As for a loose powder that works with dry skin I say the Becca hydra mist set and refresh powder is really hydrating and unique but only if the shade works for you

I love this setting spray and I love that it is continuous. It’s a little more pricey for a drugstore brand so another good option would be NYX.

I have super dry skin and can’t seem to find the perfect combination of products. I also only wear concealer no foundation. What do y’all use for skincare, primer, and concealer?

You might need a hydrator and a moisturizer... use the hydrator wherever you get really dry and a moisturizer everywhere. A hydrator is going to go deeper into the skin (into the dermis) while a moisturizer only adds moisture to the outer layer (the epidermis). My personal favorite hydrator is the Clinique moisture surge because I have extremely send skin. A lot of Clinique products irritate my skin but not this one.

I recommend a felt tip eyeliner pen. My personal favorite is the Nyx epic ink liner. Ive tried many liners and this one was definitely a game changer for me. I highly recommend.

What is the best mascara to hold a curl on straight lashes? I’ve tried tons and the only thing that seems to work for me is the too faced waterproof mascara. Just trying to see what works on everyone else.

The coverfx drops are great (not the glitter ones). They can apply over the top of powder in small amounts. If you are going to use a liquid I would recommend putting it on after foundation and before powder. Avoid powdering the areas that you applied it on. If you want to set it you can set it with a powder highlighter for an extra pop of glow. Don’t apply them straight to your face. Use a small brush to apply it and if needed blend around the edges with a damp beauty sponge to make a seamless transition

should I use a primer even if the only face makeup I wear is concealer and loose setting powder under my eyes?

I feel that primers are alway a good idea to use, they help your makeup last longer and they also help the makeup not to sink into your skin which can result in clogged pores.

How do you bronze naturally and beautifully? Ive used so many different bronzers, and theyre all so orange to me. Not only that, but my applications skills are flawed as well, as it looks messy and unnatural on my face 😔

I’ve fallen in love with the Morphe bronzers, I use the shade iconic. I have fair skin and I think it’s the perfect amount of color, without making me look unnatural or orange. Plus, the price is super reasonable!!

Nyx can’t stop won’t stop foundation is awesome. Affordable and long lasting. Ulta has a great selection of nyx cosmetics. And it won’t eat up your whole $20.

I like to bake around my nose with a hydrating setting powder, Becca has one that’s great. I used to crease really bad around my nose and once I started using a beauty blender to pat the Becca powder in around where it gets bad, I haven’t had that problem at all anymore.

Since I switched to CC cream by Farmasi, I literally will not ever try another brand. It’s so soft and gives me AMAZING coverage.

Ya girl over here needs help with my eyeshadow I don’t usually wear eyeshadow because I live in Arizona and summertime kills my makeup especially my eyes. Cause I tend to sweat underneath or sometimes around my eyes 👀. And I also think I have a type of eyelid that causes my eyeshadow to not be able to be see as great as normal eyelids. I think it’s called hooded eyelids and thank fully if I can still find them I found some videos that show how to get ur eyes to look better. But I don’t know where to start. First and foremost I don’t have money for anything expensive but could possibly splurge on a good item. If needed. I have green eyes 👀 that change colors sometimes and i dont know what shades would make my eyes look really nice and pop. And not sure with brushes or eyeshadow primers if that’s even what you call em haha 😂 ladies please feel free to give me any advice on eyeshadow or makeup in general cause I still would consider myself to be a newbie to the makeup world. I’m in desperate need of some help with this lol and I’ll only be able for the most part to buy products offline so give me any good tip y’all have I’d greatly appreciate it thanks so much 🔎🔎🆘💃🏼✨💁🏼‍♀️💅🏻🍀💄🙏🏼🤞🏼👗👠👜🕶🐛🦋🎯

Hi there! Warm browns look great with green eyes. A very affordable brown palette would be from Morphe and you can find those at the store Ulta. There’s almost ALWAYS coupons for Ulta going around so I recommend printing some out or just showing it on you phone (with scan bar) since you can only go in store. Good but affordable brushes that I love are from JessUp but those are online only. Another cheaper alternative are wet n wild and those you can find in drug stores! When holding brushes always hold then from the end and never close to the bristles. For eyeshadow I don’t use eyeshadow primer (I have hooded lids, too) I use a lighter concealer which also saves money by multipurposing your products. I apply a thin layer and don’t set it then start shadow from the darkest color to the lightest. Since you are a beginner I’d recommend setting the concealer with a light beige shadow then start with the lightest color first, it’ll be easier for you to get a smoother blend. Cut creases always are the best for hooded eyes, but since you’re a beginner I would hold off until you’ve had practice. (watch videos specifically for cutting the crease with hooded eyes!!) If you have any more questions, I’d love to answer them!

I’ve tried so many mascaras and I have yet to find one that doesn’t flake on me. At this point I’m starting to think it’s something I’m doing, but idk how you can screw up with mascara application. Plus I only ever apply two layers. Does anyone have any advice? #mascara #flakey

I’m only 20, I have dry/sensitive skin, and am prone to lines already. Every time I use any type of foundation, it cracks at my smile lines after short wear. Which foundation or products would help me out? #dry #smilelines #foundation #cracking

Honestly this is the first setting powder I’ve been able to use due to having extremely dry skin but it really does help with creasing. I know it’s expensive which sucks but to be able to set my face for once I’ll pay for it. I just leave a little around places I know which crease or crack for me it’s my nose I leave it on for like a minute or two and then wipe it off and it really helps!
