Community Guidelines


As beauty's digital town square, MIRA BEAUTY is, first and foremost, a supportive community looking to learn together. It's a space for discovery, discussion, asking questions, and sharing experiences. Guests can post questions and answers to problems they have been encountering, search for advice, and even talk about their favorite subject with others that share the same interests.

Here are a few guidelines to keep in mind:

Be Respectful. MIRA BEAUTY involves guests with a wide range of beliefs and ideas about the subjects they’re discussing. We encourage an open dialogue, but require that participants remain courteous and respectful at all times. Please avoid any language that may be considered abusive, threatening, discriminatory, or "trolling". If we see any of the above, we will exercise our right to edit or remove any post that violates these guidelines. We will also limit or suspend the access of any participant who violates these guidelines.

No ads or for-profit promotions. We do not tolerate individuals actively advertising products or services for their own profit with the use of referral, affiliate, MLM links or any other similar methods. We want to ensure that MIRA BEAUTY remains a space where community members can engage in authentic dialogue and receive genuine advice. We reserve the right to remove content that is in violation of this policy and deactivate individuals who participate in such activity without warning or advanced notice.

If you see something inappropriate. The participants themselves do the best monitoring of a community. If you see any offensive, abusive, or otherwise inappropriate content (including posts, pictures and videos), please click on the “Report” button that is at the top right of every piece of content. MIRA BEAUTY will not discuss one user’s actions or account with any other user. That means we won’t tell the user who filed the report, but it also means we cannot tell you what action we’ve taken.

We reserve the right to remove any review, content or accounts whose actions are out of line with the spirit of MIRA BEAUTY’s community.

Ratings & Reviews Transparency
  • MIRA BEAUTY aggregates millions of product reviews from thousands of stores and retailers. Product ratings & reviews are a collective perspective.
  • While fake reviews have killed our ability to google the truth, MIRA BEAUTY is on a mission to remove biased reviews from the Internet. In 2020, MIRA removed all ratings & reviews coming from paid review generator Influenster.
  • In 2019, MIRA BEAUTY launched as an open collaboration with our guests, so our own community can share their authentic opinions with each other.

We value your contributions and encourage you to help other guests through your own experiences. We also want to make sure that MIRA BEAUTY is a safe and trustworthy source for beauty advice and information. To help us with this goal, we ask that you abide by the following rules for on-site ratings & reviews:

Recent
To keep content fresh for our community, we ask that you stick to writing about brand and product experiences that occurred within the past year.

Non-Commercial
In line with our Community Guidelines, we do not tolerate individuals actively advertising products or services for their own profit with the use of referral, affiliate, MLM links or any other similar methods. We want to ensure that MIRA BEAUTY remains a space where community members can engage in authentic dialogue and receive genuine advice. We reserve the right to remove content that is in violation of this policy and deactivate individuals who participate in such activity without warning or advanced notice.

Relevant
Keep your ratings & reviews relevant and helpful to the community – MIRA BEAUTY guests are reading your review to understand what an experience with the product or brand might be like.

Unbiased
Reviews are most helpful when they provide unbiased advice, whether they are positive or negative. However, we don't allow individuals or entities who own or are affiliated with a company to post ratings & reviews of their products or competing SKUs. If you suspect a review is fake, sponsored, or doesn't meet MIRA BEAUTY's Community Guidelines, you can use the “Report” feature located at the bottom of each review.

First-Hand
Our community wants to hear about your experience. This means no second-hand information, rumors, or quotations from other sources. Please, only provide ratings & reviews based on substantial experiences you’ve had and be sure to include enough detail in your review that other guests will find your advice helpful.

Mira AI, Inc. (“MIRA BEAUTY,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how your personal information is collected, used and disclosed by MIRA BEAUTY. This Privacy Policy applies to our websites, our online and mobile services and our mobile applications (collectively, our “Service”). By downloading, accessing or using our Service, you signify that you have read, understood and agree to our collection, storage, use and disclosure of your personal information as described in this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Service.

1.   What information do we collect and for what purpose?

The categories of information we collect can include:

  • Information you provide to us directly. We may collect personal information, such as your name, phone number, location, and e-mail address when you when you register for our Service or otherwise communicate with us. We may also collect any communications between you and MIRA BEAUTY and any other information you provide to MIRA BEAUTY.
  • Data collected through the use of the Service. We collect information about how you use the Service, your actions on the Service, and content you post to the Service, including the groups you belong to, your interaction with your friends and with others on the Service, and photos and videos you post to the Service, and any content you provide through in-app messages, chat, or other functionality ("User Content"). To share photos and video, we will access your device camera roll and camera with your permission. If you need to update your permissions, you can do so in the "Settings" app of your device. Please remember that MIRA BEAUTY may, but has no obligation to, monitor, record, and store User Content in order to protect your safety or the safety of other users, to assist with regulatory or law enforcement efforts, or to protect and defend our rights and property. By using the Service, you consent to the recording, storage and disclosure of such communications you send or receive for these purposes.
  • Information we collect from social networks. When you interact with our Service through various social media, such as when you login through Facebook or when you follow MIRA BEAUTY or share MIRA BEAUTY content on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram or other sites, we may receive information from those social networks including your profile information, picture, user ID associated with your social media account, friends list, and any other information you permit the social network to share with third parties. The data we receive is dependent upon your privacy settings with the social network. You should always review, and if necessary, adjust your privacy settings on third-party websites and services before linking or connecting them to our Service.
  • Information we receive from third parties. From time to time, we may receive information about you from third parties and other users. We may also collect information about you that is publicly available.

We use this information to operate, maintain, and provide to you the features and functionality of the Service, as well as to communicate directly with you, such as to send you email messages and push notifications, and permit you to communicate with others on the Service or on social media or invite others to join the Service. We may also send you Service-related emails or messages (e.g., account verification, change or updates to features of the Service, technical and security notices). We may also use, copy and analyze your information, solely in aggregate, de-identified and/or other anonymized form, in order to improve and to train MIRA BEAUTY’s artificial intelligence and machine learning capabilities.

2. How we use cookies and other tracking technology to collect information.

We, and our third party partners, automatically collect certain types of usage information when you visit our Service, read our emails, or otherwise engage with us. We typically collect this information through a variety of tracking technologies, including cookies, Flash objects, web beacons, file information and similar technology (collectively, “tracking technologies”). When you access our Service from a mobile device, we may collect unique identification numbers associated with your device or our mobile application (including, for example, a UDID, Unique ID for Advertisers (“IDFA”), Google AdID, or Windows Advertising ID), mobile carrier, device type, model and manufacturer, mobile device operating system brand and model, phone number, and depending on your mobile device settings, your geographical location data, including GPS coordinates (e.g., latitude and/or longitude) or similar information regarding the location of your mobile device, or we may be able to approximate a device’s location by analyzing other information, like an IP address. Although we do our best to honor the privacy preferences of our users, we are unable to respond to Do Not Track signals set by your browser at this time.

We use or may use the data collected through tracking technologies to: (a) remember information so that you will not have to re-enter it during your visit or the next time you visit the site; (b) provide custom, personalized content and information, including targeted content and advertising; (c) identify you across multiple devices; (d) provide and monitor the effectiveness of our Service; (e) monitor aggregate metrics such as total number of visitors, traffic, usage, and demographic patterns on our Service; (f) diagnose or fix technology problems; and (g) otherwise to plan for and enhance our service.

If you would prefer not to accept cookies, most browsers will allow you to: (i) change your browser settings to notify you when you receive a cookie, which lets you choose whether or not to accept it; (ii) disable existing cookies; or (iii) set your browser to automatically reject cookies. Please note that doing so may negatively impact your experience using the Service, as some features and services on our Service may not work properly.
