The best cleanser for dry skin!

I've never cared about a cleanser as much as I do this one. I am in love. I have chronically dry skin around my mouth/nose and I'm between my eyebrows. I'm only now learning about my moisture barrier & what I can do to repair it, & a big part of that is removing any possible irritants, such as a drying cleanser. Thanks to a new, moisture-rich skincare routine, and this cleanser, my skin's moisture barrier is on the road to recovery. I can't recommend this cleanser enough, even for oily skin. Oily skin needs moisture too, plus it feels sooooo good. It's a pleasure to use, & doesn't leave my skin feeling tight as fast as all my old cleaners did (I was a bit of a cleanser "groupie" before I decided to settle down with this one ;). It does have a fragrance, so some people might be sensitive to that, but I find it mild, sweet, & delightfully refreshing. I wouldn't change a thing.

Worst product I've used

I've used this brand before when I was a young teen, I used both the pomegranate face and body wash to help reduce my acne and it did nothing but break me out so I stopped using it and noticed all my acne was gone after I stopped using the product. Now as I'm much older, I rarely get any acne but I now have dry skin, so when neutrogena came out with this, I was hopeful that it would work. I've used it once, now all of a sudden my acne is back and horrible like when I used to have it as a 14 year old. This product has a really strong fragrance, and when washed away it feels like the skin has been stripped of its natural oils (like soap) and was not hydrating at all.

One of my favorite new cleansers for my oily skin

I've used Neutrogena's Hydro Boost skincare line in many forms - the moisturizing gel, the gel with spf, the eye gel - and I've always been a big fan. I was similarly impressed with the Hydro Boost cleansing gel. It's hard for me to find cleansing products that suit my skin, which is oily but not particularly sensitive. I'm always walking that line between products that are too drying, and products that leave makeup or sunscreen residue on my face. This was an excellent addition to my daily routine - the gel feels cooling and smooth, and does a great job of leaving my skin feeling clean without giving it that tight, squeaky-clean pinch. I love the smell, which is light and fresh, and my skin has reacted well - no breakouts or bumpy texture. Instead, my skin looks just as good as it does with the few other cleansers that I've found that work for me - and these other cleansers are much more expensive.I would definitely recommend this for anyone with oily or combo skin, although given how gentle it is, it would probably work for sensitive skin too.On a superficial note, I also really like the look and shape of the bottle; it has such a calming blue color and looks nice on my bathroom shelf. It might be a little silly to mention this, but I do like nice packaging.Disclaimer: I received a sample of this product from PINCHMe!, but the thoughts and opinions expressed in this review are truly my own. I take online reviews very seriously and am always thoroughly honest in my feedback. « less

AMAZING! (In Depth Review)

I nearly lost my mind trying to research skin types and the products I should be using. For years after my acne cleared up, I used body wash to scrub my face and whatever moisturizer the kids had afterward. The kids have grown a bit, I have now started wearing makeup regularly, and I’m nearing 30 so I figured it was time to get an actual healthy skincare routine down. All those years of abusing my skin led to severely dehydrated, but EXTREMELY oily skin. I decided to try this cleanser, the Hydro Boost Water Gel, and a hyaluronic acid toner from Baby Peach. The improvent in my skin on day one was so drastic that my husband, who didn’t notice the little gap in my teeth for THREE YEARS, remarked on how even and soft my skin was. It’s been about a week now, and I couldn’t be happier with the products if I tried. My skin feels so soft and smooth it’s unreal, and the softness lasts all day long even in our harsh winter weather and forced heat home. The few small blemishes I did have have cleared up entirely, my pores are no longer visibly clogged despite wearing makeup so much more often, and they truly do appear smaller. And the absolute best part is that my face is NO LONGER OILY. A week ago I would have had a face FULL of shine just a few short hours after cleansing, and now I touch up my makeup with a tiny bit of powder maybe once eight or more hours after application. I’m so grateful to have found this line, and I absolutely will be repurchasing along with the body balm, sheet masks, exfoliating cleanser, and serum. This removes my makeup so gently and easily (hello, Lash Paradise) with just one cleanse, it feels so good on the skin, the thin lather is perfect, it washes away completely with no residue, and it doesn’t strip a BIT of moisture from my skin so my face feels wonderful even before I moisturize. Also, my makeup has never looked better than it does over this line and my trusty primer. I have had no irritation or redness with these products (and redness was a daily occurence for me). 100 out of 10, Neutrogena! Less

What is a good foundation that doesn’t cake, that isn’t heavy, and doesn’t stick to my imperfections or dry skin? I’ve tried, Maybelline, elf, the brand from the dollar store & one my sister-in-law gave me.The dollar store work well also came with a colored primer, but it made me break out. Any recommendations like that? I’m new to make up. So any info helps. At this Moment I’m just using primer & color corrector due to redness & dark circles.
