Smoothe & easy absorbing!

This product is great and well worth the try. It is lightweight, not greasy or oily, fast absorbing and has zero fragrance. It is a gel cream and you can see that it is both by the texture but it is more on the gel side. This product is good for skin that is dry (or combination skin like mine; just focus more on the areas where your skin gets dryest) For me, the first thing I noticed was how smoothly this product spread over my skin when applying it. A little goes a long way, so don't over-apply.. It has Hyaluronic acid which quenches your skin with hydration and is one of the most important ingredients in a quality moisturizer/serum I've found and is generally in high end products of high quality. I apply this after taking a shower or washing my face and then I add my make-up. If you have dry skin or combination skin like mine, you know how hard it is to apply make-up and have it looking good but this product is the perfect precursor to applying makeup as makeup just glides on and doesn't look cake-y or blotchy. This product doesn't cause breakouts for me and doesn't appear to clog my pores like some other products. My skin doesn't feel like I have some greasy moisturizer sitting on top of it, which for me is important. When I touch my face, I find that my face is soft to the touch, like baby skin. I would recommend this product to anyone looking for lightweight, non-oily, non-heavy, hydrating facial products. I'm a member of the Crowdtap NEUTROGENA® rewards program, and NEUTROGENA® sent me a samples of its NEUTROGENA® Hydro Boost Gel-Cream for Extra Dry Skin to review.

Very light, cool feeling , so hydrating!!!

I really couldn't wait to try this product , since i am always searching for great products to keep my dry skin soft and radiant. This product comes in clear open plastic display so you can see the bottle , makes u scared to pick it up because of it's high end appeal, I really was shocked to see the under $20.00 price tag!! It's a really great buy. The product comes in a 1.7 ounce blue see through jar with whit top. The cream is very light to feel not too heavy . It's oil free, frangrance free and dye free so , also great for sensitive skin like mine. Most products I can't use because the frangrance in most products breaks my sensitive skin out! This product states it will boosts hydration. , and provide supple skin all day, it truly does deliver. After I cleanse my face I apply this light cream to my face and neck usually around 5:00 am . My face instantly feels soft and supple I love this!! The texture is a light and creamy has the stability of a gel but it's not sticky, or too thin, neither is it watery. I only have to apply this cream once thoughout my constant and busy day. I check my face after lunch and it still soft!! No need to to keep reapply this small amount goes along way. With other creams I would find myself reapplying product to keep my skin looking great through tout the day. But no need to do that with this product, I only apply once in the morning and that's it!!! I love the way this product makes my skin feel, so soft and moisturized instead of rough and dry. I would definitely recommend this product and will buy it again!! « less

Read review before you buy.

I've waited to try this because I have so much skincare that it's overwhelming to introduce something new into my routine - I tend to waste a lot as it is. My skin type: skin tone, light to medium; fine lines, enlarged pores, combination/oily skin with dryness around my eyes (my entire orbital area) if I don't consume plenty of water and moisturize properly.I follow a strict beauty routine that includes different cleansers for morning and night. I double cleanse after I wear makeup and use specific serums and moisturizers in the morning and then use separate and different types of serums and moisturizers at night. My morning routine includes a stabalized Vitamin C Serum combined with a Serum to lock it in, followed with a light cream for my cheeks and nose; a cream for the rest of my face, an eye serum, then 2 heavier eye creams. My nighttime routine is similar only I use an AHA and BHA, then heavier serums and creams with pure sqaulane oil, then a heavier gel moisturizer to lock it all in. It works for me and keeps my skin balanced.I'm conscientious of all ingredients in Skincare and makeup. Although my skin has oily areas, I would rather be super moisturized than dry. I do what I can to prevent deep wrinkles.Because I have spent so much money on skincare products with rave reviews, I waited to buy this. I've been eyeballing it since it was introduced to the consumer. The list of ingredients would leave one to believe that this moisturizer would be great; however, it managed to break my face out, leave my face feeling like I had a something as heavy as Pond's cold cream on, yet made my face and neck peel ALL over.I had no smooth areas for over a week and that's been with me taking desperate measures. My skin has started to repair, but thanks to that whole buy one, get one 50% off (this should have been a red flag) I now have two jars of this cheap junk that I don't even want to give to anyone.Heads up! There's is better products for less $$. Less

AMAZING! (In Depth Review)

I nearly lost my mind trying to research skin types and the products I should be using. For years after my acne cleared up, I used body wash to scrub my face and whatever moisturizer the kids had afterward. The kids have grown a bit, I have now started wearing makeup regularly, and I’m nearing 30 so I figured it was time to get an actual healthy skincare routine down. All those years of abusing my skin led to severely dehydrated, but EXTREMELY oily skin. I was so hesitant to spend almost $20 on my first real face moisturizer, so I elected to get the trial size along with the Hydro Boost Hydrating Gel Cleanser and a hyaluronic acid toner from Baby Peach. The improvent in my skin on day one was so drastic that my husband, who didnt notice the little gap in my teeth for THREE YEARS, remarked on how even and soft my skin was. It’s been about a week now, and I couldn’t be happier with the product if I tried. My skin feels so soft and smooth it’s unreal, and the softness lasts all day long even in our harsh winter weather and forced heat home. The few small blemishes I did have have cleared up entirely, my pores are no longer visibly clogged despite wearing makeup so much more often, and they truly do appear smaller. And the absolute best part is that my face is NO LONGER OILY. A week ago I would have had a face FULL of shine just a few short hours after cleansing, and now I touch up my makeup with a tiny bit of powder maybe once eight or more hours after application. I’m so grateful to have found this line, and I absolutely will be repurchasing in the full size when I run out (which, with as little as I have to use, will be weeks from now even with only 0.5oz of product) along with the body balm, sheet masks, exfoliating cleanser, and serum. The only issue I’ve had is that I do need to use a primer before applying foundation, but I couldn’t care less because with this moisturizer my makeup has never looked better. I have had no irritation or redness (and redness was a daily occurence for me), and the fragrance dissipates quickly. 100 out of 10, Neutrogena! Less

i recently switched from Lush’s ‘imperials’ moisturizer to this about 3 weeks ago. my old moisturizer was fantastic for dry skin however, since i get oily quite often it was a bit too heavy. i am so in love with this Neutrogena moisturizer!!! i have noticed a decrease in my acne flare ups as well as a brighter complexion. i also LOVE how this feels when applied, since it’s a gel is very refreshing and cool, feels like your skin just took a gulp of water. highly recommend to people with combination skin looking for a lightweight, redness fighting moisturizer!

CombinationCombination Skin
Hello! I have combination to oily skin and currently use the @Pro Filt'r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation but my skin got flakier when I started applying my foundation. Could it be because of the foundation or because of my acne medication which includes tretinoin, a retin a, has been drying my skin out a lot? Also, can I please get suggestions on primers, setting sprays, concealers, powders to use after concealer, and foundation? Thank you!

Some Long wear foundations seem to have the tendency to dry out and flake quicker in my personal opinion. When you use a different foundation does the skin still have the same effect? I’m no dr so I’m not really sure about ur acne medicine.. I know retinoids can dry out the skin for sure. Also are you exfoliating a lot? If so maybe try doing it once-twice a week and try a gentle exfoliant because using a harsh exfoliater can also cause flaking. When my skin gets flaky I try not to wear a ton of makeup and just let my skin be for a few days and I use a gel moisturizer anytime my skin flakes. I just feel like it works into the skin more and helps replenish and restore the skins moisture. I would recommend using a gel like moisturizer to help calm the skin and let it set and dry prior to continuing on with the rest of your makeup routine. I have two favorite moisturizers one is a bit more affordable but it’s still great it’s the @Hydro Boost Gel-Cream or I also really enjoy the @Pro-Collagen Marine Cream SPF 30 but it’s more on the pricey side.. but these two are go tos of mine. But there are a ton of different types of products you can try if your skin is oily - combo it depends what type of look your going for with the setting sprays if you want that matte look go for a mattifying setting spray or vs versa. Again this is all off of personal preference so I’m just trying to help out. I have been on the hunt for a must have powder n still haven’t found it yet. I hope this helped out a bit.

Anyone know about a good drugstore (or drugstore price) moisturizer for dry sensitive skin that’s fragrance free? I recently used to use Glossier’s priming moisturizer then moved to using Embryolisse lait creme concentrate but lately I’ve been extra sensitive to fragrance I tried CeraVe’s moisturizing cream and works great on my body but it performs terribly on my face, then currently I’m using Simple’s replenishing ultra rich moisturizer for dry skin but it just seems to evaporate on my face (I try to overcompensate with face oil and my sunscreen but it’s still not enough/right)

I've been using this (smaller sizes still have plenty and are much less expensive), and @Hydro Boost Gel-Cream . I have insanely dry skin, especially in the winter, so one is probably enough for someone with only moderately dry skin!

I’m a big fan of HydroBoost Gel. I make sure to get the one for extra dry skin because I have dry patches on my face and it’s fragrance free. I put it on right after I shower/wash my face and it locks in all the extra moisture!

So I have dry skin, but sometimes after I put on moisturizer my t zone gets oily. I’ve been using the Clinique facial soap and toner, but I honestly feel like they are just braking me out so much.. so my question is, what are some good facial products I can use that won’t break me out?

I’m assuming this severe dry skin and flaking is from the Differin. I have been using it for over a month and have noticed my pores shrinking. I do not have terrible acne, just here and there. Should I stop the Differin and use an AHA BHA cleanser or change other products? I tagged me regimen. More details on a previous post. #help #differin #adapalene #flaking

Hi! I recently tried this product when I started using a new acne product that dried out my face and it worked wonders! I love how lightweight it feels and non-greasy it is. I think they might have a regular formula and then one for more dry skin but I would have to check again.
