My makeup looks like this no matter what I do I feel like 😭 I’ve tried different foundations, primers setting sprays and setting powders and it always looks splotchy. I usually apply with a damp beauty blender. I wash my face and use moisturizer. How to I keep this from happening!?

From what I’m seeing, your skin care routine isn’t enough 😭 avoid any cleansers with fragrances bc that’ll definitely dry your skin out to a T. This goes for moisturizers as well! I’d look into a serum (possibly hyloronic acid) that you can put under your moisturizer. Also, make sure you are exfoliating. This will help get rid of dead/flaky skin. I suggest chemical exfoliating. It’s A LOT better than physical exfoliation. The ordinary has a great and affordable one! I’ll tag it below. Lastly, spf during the day! It’s extremely important. :)

Texture troubles! 😬 Hi everyone- I’ve having some issues with my face makeup looking cakey/textured when I’m in natural lighting- it looks fine when I’m in front of the mirror. I was excited to try the Elf luminous primer today thinking it would help smooth things over (and look glowy). But I’m not sure it really helped. I had not been using a primer before this since the Colourpop tinted moisturizer is water based more or less and I couldn’t find a water based smoothing primer. The texture was present when I wasn’t using a primer- it looked better when I used my hands to apply but I have been using a sponge more since I was worried using my hands would potentially cause acne. Should I try: Chemical exfoliation? (Any AHAs?) A different primer? (Maybe the OG poreless putty?) A different foundation? (I was hoping to make this tinted moisturizer work since I like lightweight, natural, and affordable products ) Maybe this is just how makeup up looks in natural light 🤣 Am I asking too much? Let me know your tips for looking flawless! 💖 I appreciate it! #drugstore #texture

I have problems with texture too. I found that the nyx angel veil primer really helped my makeup look smooth and so beautiful on my face. I also use Paula’s choice 2% bha and it doesn’t work immediately but over time it will help smooth the texture of your skin even without makeup.

Excuse my hand over half of my face. This is a picture of my face natural and then a picture with my makeup. I need tips and recommendations. I have big pores and redness. I want more of a full coverage look but I want it to look more smooth instead of so bumpy. Anyone have any recommendations on primers, foundations, or just anything that could take away the redness and make my pores look smaller?

Have you considered using azelaic acid? It’s really helpful in reducing redness, acne, and dark spots/hyperpigmentation. A great product is from Paulas Choice. Also, Niacinimide is also really helpful with pores and redness (the ordinary niacinimide and zinc serum is good)
