My staple & holy grail

First off I'll admit that I have major issues and have WAY TOO MUCH MAKEUP to the point where I don't even know what i have anymore & I keep buying lol. I have a lot of experience in the beauty industry, working as a freelance artist, working at a salon & working at Ulta as the prestige counter Manager currently. I have tried every concealer on the market, you name it. From Tartes shape tape(which I can't stand & DONT like at all), Kylie concealer, Too faced, Urban decay, Estée Lauder, clinique, Lancôme, every drug store brand(you get the point). I love trying new formulas. But I keep coming back to this one. I finally caved & bought the too faced born this way concealer but I had to return it as I don't really like textures like that. It sort of reminds me of Tartes. So after swatching at work all day, I went back to my holy grail. Nars creamy radiant concealer! It's a dream. It blends out so perfectly and it's so smooth. The botanical formula is phenomenal and works for a huge age range, it's a natural finish, just perfect. It brightens and lifts and I set with a setting powder using a damp beauty blender or sponge. I've seen people complain that it's "cakey" and that's far from the truth. The formula is definitely creamy hence it's name ... lol. People often use WAY too much product and complain when it's too cakey. Try a different technique before you judge a product. I like to do makeup in layers, building my product on my skin rather than adding a lot at once because then you can't go back. You can always add more! The coverage is perfect. Hides my very dark circles and this will forever be a staple in my kit for my clients & for myself. If you're on the hunt for a new concealer, please try this one! You won't regret it. The high price reflects its quality & performance 100%. You get what you pay for. Less

Amazingly off the chart must have product!! :)

If you don't know how to use this product then you may end up disappointed. However, if you learn how to use it, you will be jumping for joy and completely jaw dropped in a state of amazement. I'm 55 with dry sensitive skin. My skin is very healthy with no acne and very few lines. However, I have some creasing under my eyes which we all cringe at ... And this product takes those creases away like a miracle in a bottle. They go from horrible to healthy in few seconds.I do not use an eye cream before application. I do my eye cream at night and in the morning I splash cold water and very lightly pat and let my skin air air dry for the most. I don't try to wash away my night cream ... I just try to refresh it with cool water and revive it. To apply the concealer I mix Chantilly and Custard. I'm a light olive with yellow undertones and this mix matches to give me coverage, plus I want that highlight effect to come through in a nice healthy wearable show. I mix the concealer on the back of my hand and pat in with my ring and middle finger till I get it blended and placed where I want it. A brush just won't work. Then I go over it lightly with a damp beauty blender. I do under my eyes, forehead, nose bridge, chin, and cupids bow, all on direct bare skin. Your finger and the back of your hand are your best tools for this concealer. It will melt it into the skin and make it flawless and perfect. And a little goes a long way. Else it will get cakey and ugly and it will not look good if you don't keep in on a minimum scale. You don't need a lot because the pigmentation is so high. So once it's applied don't try to go back over it again and double do it/over do it. It won't look good. Then once it's blended I stop and wash out my beauty blended real good, and this gives the concealer time to set ... And when I look back in the mirror a few minutes later, after it has set, I'm like wow!! :) Then once it has set, I apply powder. Please note that you don't have to set this with powder right after you've applied it. It sets itself with out powder, and this concealer smooths out the creases all by itself. It will be clear to see that after it set for a few minutes when you look back in the mirror. Patience is key. Giving it time to set by itself pays off. Your skin will look so transformed. Like I said it will take those creases from horrible to healthy. The same is true for large pores. The pores will disappear. They too will go from horrible to healthy looking and any dry skin will disappear as well. This is why I say it is like a miracle in a bottle. It corrects creases, large pores, and a screeching halt stopper on dry patches. Highlights and concealer. Takes your skin from horrible to healthy looking in minutes.Plus it will never break your skin out or cause milia. There is nothing that can compare to this formulation. Especially with the right application. It is undeniably comepletely AMAZING!! :) Less

Nars

Any girl who loves to contour and highlight will fall in love with the Nars concealer. When I was first learning how to contour and highlight, I was using Kat Von D-lock it concealer, in the shade light 16. Since I am so fair skinned, the lightest shade still wasn’t light enough for my complexion. So, I then tried the Nars concealer in the shade Chantilly. When using this concealer with a damp Beauty Blender, you will definitely receive the results you are looking for. I wanted a very light under eye and that is exactly what I got. A benefit of this product is that it doesn’t crease or create lines. Nars concealer is very light weight, yet still full coverage appearance. Also, a major bonus is that the product not only can be used as a highlighter, but also to conceal blemishes or hide redness.I tend to have dark circles under my eyes along with quite a bit of redness. This product really conceals out the dark and red tones. I also enjoy the fact that it lasts all day long. Many other concealers that I have tried don’t last as long as what this concealer does. I can go a full day and not have to worry about smudging along with creasing. If there is one thing I would say I don’t like about the product, it would be the applicator brush. I feel like the brush doesn’t apply an adequate amount of product. Instead, I have to apply it a couple of times to get the desired amount I want. At the same time, this could be a good thing due to the fact you wouldn’t want to use too much product. It really is a love hate relationship on the amount of product you want. This product tends to be a little pricey. However, I feel like it is very worth it. This Nars concealer is $29.00 plus tax. It is definitely not the most expansive concealer, however, it is also not the cheapest one on the market either. You get 0.22 ounces in one bottle. It also comes in a travel size bottle. One great thing is that it lasts a long time so I believe it is worth the price.Overall, I am very pleased with this product. Nars concealer is definitely one that I would recommend to any make-up lover. It is great for concealing and highlighting. I would also recommend it for any skin type or tone. You will not regret splurging on this product. « less

Ehhhh....

I was shade matched in store, and even requested one shade lighter b/c I felt Custard was just too dark for me (I usually am a light/fairly light / ivory / ghosty face), so I was sold Honey.I think my first mistake was trying it in the store, regardless of how good the lighting is it is NOT as good as outside. So I bought what appeared to be a good shade / concealer for my spots.Got it home, and despite the use of under eye cream and what not, the concealer caked up slightly under my eyes, and frankly is ORRRRRRRRRANGE on my skin tone.Using HG Immaculate in Natural this stuff was like putting bronzer on my acne marks & scars. It is creamy, it is fairly easy to blend, but those are about the only pros I can think of right now. Coverage and consistency is no better than a drug store brand that I've used in the past & likeAside from the WRONG shade, or so I think (others have said it turned orange on them), it covers allllright. Seems to cover much better on things that are not actual dark spots (ie red acne vs. dark brown acne scars). For the price I don't know if I will be exchanging it or just return it as I expected semi-miracles from a concealer this cost with these reviews. Less

I was looking for a new concealer and my friend had recommended this one to me. It’s amazing! I really love it, it goes on nicely and isn’t dry. Usually, the concealers I’ve used in the past were dry when I applied them and were tough to blend, but this one is definitely one of the best concealers I’ve had - if not the best one!

Primer / Concealer Question : I have very dry skin but at the end of the end my face looks dewy/sweaty? What’s a good Long Lasting primer that will add moisture but won’t crease/cake up and stop this end of the day dewy look?? I’m 26 and still get acne so nothing irritating. I prefer a more natural finish. I currently use the FIT ME foundation. Also looking for a good lightweight concealer for dark under eyes...Thanks in advance!!

I need a good hydrating, full coverage concealer. I’ve been using the tarte 16 hour wear, although it is hydrating, it isn’t giving me the coverage that I want. I have dry, very sensitive, and acne prone skin. I have tried other concealers such as maybelline, but it still gives my skin that dry patchy look even though I have a heavy moisturizer on. I would like to be able to have it match my skin tone since I don’t wear makeup as much. I need some recommendations!!
