Confused

Firstly, I've never written a bad review, ever. Usually I just return/throw out and am on my way. I love sheer glow and thought this would be similar and I would love it. Unfortunately this is everything I hate in one product. It has no color correction (I was expecting it to have no coverage, and it doesn't), made me break out, was itchy, and is SO greasy and shiny. Even after I first put it on, before it starts slipping off my face, it looks shiny as if it were oily and I'd been wearing it for 10 hours. Believe me, I'm all for luminous and dewy, I hate matte--but this is straight up greasy. Nothing "radiant" about it. And I have dry skin! So confusing. Everyone else seems to love it, but I can't imagine how. Honestly this is worse than any drugstore tinted moisturizer I've ever tried. This is honestly garbage, I gave it a week with a different method and combo of other products each day but I'm never putting this on my face again! I would return it, but I always feel guilty doing returns, although I hate to throw $43 in the trash can. Please get a sample before buying, I wish I hadn't just believed the inexplicably good reviews.

Skeptic Turned Believer

I know this is marketed as a tinted moisturizer but when I think of a tinted moisturizer I think of barely there coverage that does nothing for evening out my complexion. This product has blown me away.I went to the Sephora store and got my Color IQ (I am 2Y05) as I have been searching for a perfect color match and had just about given up. I was matched with many products but I wanted something that did not contain parabens and therefore my options dwindled down to only a few choices with most of them being tinted moisturizers. I have to say I haven't tried a lot of tinted moisturizers but the ones I have (ex. Laura Mericer) were not even worth paying $5 for. So when the sales associate shows me the list I became a bit disappointed in the selection but decided to have her give me some samples...it was worth a shot.I got the Hourglass and Nars samples and took them home to test out. I tried the Hourglass one first and used it for about 4 days...it wasn't bad but I wasn't impressed at all, especially considering the price. I didn't hold out much hope for the Nars at this point but gave it a go anyway. I was so completely surprised at the color match and coverage of this product...I couldn't stop staring at my reflection and I couldn't help but thinking my skin looked beautiful and radiant (notice I said skin and not makeup). I wanted some coverage but not so much that it looked like I was wearing a full face of makeup. I have freckles and still wanted them to show through a bit but also wanted to just even out my skintone. This product provides light to medium coverage but with the feeling of a lightweight moisturizer. I love that this product does not have parabens or fragrance AND it has SPF 30! I wear SPF 30 everyday on my face and was previously using Alba Botanicals SPF 30 and then Bare Minerals over that for coverage...oh and a primer under all of that to keep everything from sliding off. I have now eliminated 2 steps from my daily regimine! I do not use a primer (except on my eyelids) and I find that Nars stays put and lasts an entire day...maybe diminishing somewhat by the end of the day but nothing like my Bare Minerals would do. It gives me the dewy complexion I was looking for without looking like an oil slick at the end of the day (I have t-zone oiliness).I apply this with the Sephora Collection Pro Flawless Airbrush #56 (best foundation brush ever) and it gives me a flawless buffed finish. I use a pea sized amount and apply it all over my face and down past my jawline onto my neck for a seemless look.i have finally found a product that makes my skin look great and has non-harmful ingredients! « less

Love this tinted moisturizer!

Being a fan of NARS products, I was extremely excited for the launch of this product, so as soon as it was available at Nordstrom, I rushed to purchase it! I've used it for about two weeks now, and am very pleased with the tinted moisturizer.-At first, I was a bit concerned about the shade selection for my NC30/NARS Sheer Glow Punjab/Make Up For Ever HD 120 skintone. After swatching, I knew Finland (the first shade) would be too light, and St. Moritz (third shade) would be too dark. I was hesitant about Alaska since it is classified as a "Light 2" shade, but my normal foundation shade, Nars Punjab, is classified as "Medium 1." However, Alaska has proven to be a great match for my light-medium yellow-toned skintone.-The coverage and texture have been excellent for a tinted moisturizer. I've tried a number of tinted moisturizers, including Laura Mercier's and Smashbox's. While I loved the convenience and low-maintenance factors of those tinted moisturizers, I wasn't a fan of their sheer coverage or how after a number of hours, the TM would feel slightly gummy and look shiny on my oily skin. With NARS, the coverage has been just as good as what I'd get with their Sheer Glow Foundation (which, to those who aren't familiar with Sheer Glow, isn't really sheer), but the TM looks more natural (doesn't settle into pores or lines) and feels absolutely fantastic, like second skin! Depending on how much you choose, I would classify the coverage as light-medium, and it can certainly be built to medium without looking unnatural.-The lasting power of this tinted moisturizer has been impressive too. Besides its lightweight and comfortable texture, its staying power on my oily skin has been excellent. After a long workday, the tinted moisturizer is still intact.-No breakouts on my acne-prone skin after a few weeks of using this.I am very happy with this tinted moisturizer and am so glad to have switched from using foundation to this product. Sometimes, my skin will feel heavy after using foundation, and it takes more work -- I have to be careful to fully blend in the foundation. WIth this tinted moisturizer, I love how I only have to use one product (rather than a separate sunscreen and primer), and it feels and looks seamless on the skin. I highly recommend this product! « less

Pure Radiant Awesomeness

This is the best beauty find of the year for me, hands down. I can see myself using this for many years to come. I am half Korean, half German-American with a light-to-medium, yellow-under-toned complexion; I wear the shade 'Alaska' and it blends into my skin tone perfectly. I love the texture/consistency of this product––not runny, yet not too thick––it's just right. Broad spectrum SPF 30 is great. Coverage is on the sheer side of medium; again, just right, and exactly what you'd want from a tinted moisturizer. You don't feel this on your skin at all; it's weightless. If you have combination or oily skin, you'd probably want to powder your T-zone to reduce shine, but I happen to think the finish of this on its own is a thing of beauty. It looks totally natural, like a second skin, but better. It leaves a perfect satin finish. Packaging is fantastic, classic NARS: clean/hygienic, travel-friendly, not messy, simple and sleek-looking. There is a mild-moderate citrusy scent (which I personally don't mind and even find to be rather pleasant), but once applied, I can no longer smell it. I used up 2 generous sample pots of this (daily, over the course of a month and a half) before I finally went ahead and purchased the full-sized tube. For reference, my skin type is combination, sensitive/reactive (prone to cosmetic irritation and/ore breakouts); this tinted moisturizer hasn't caused any skin issues for me whatsoever. In fact, the opposite is true: thanks to this product, I'm able to enhance my complexion and still manage to look like I'm not wearing anything on my face. I will admit that I have great skin to begin with (I take immaculate care of it and protect every day w/a high SPF), but the NARS tinted moisturizer just bumps the appearance up a notch and makes me look like I have absolutely flawless skin, which obviously makes me ecstatic. I couldn't be more satisfied with this product. Highly recommend. « less

NARS TM <3

Skin type: oily t-zone/mostly normal everywhere else, acne-prone but mostly clear skin, yellow undertone (Bare Mineral Light, Lancome Miracle Teint 7W) Thank you NARS! This product is a time saver! With a fairly high UVA/UVB protection of SPF30 Pa+++, I've been able to compress my sunscreen and light coverage foundation steps. If you want to use a higher spf, this will layer perfectly fine on top. The consistency and wear is similar to a very light cream and is easiest to apply with fingers. If you get oily in the T-zone like me, dusting a bit of powder over the T-zone seems to work or use a oil control primer underneath. I love how the finish is fresh and natural. It's my skin but better! Be aware that the product is a bit -cone heavy. Thankfully, I did not break out with use. There is a slight citrusy scent noticeable only during application. Color: I could never get a color match with Laura Mercier's TM (nude was too ashy/pale and next color up was too dark) so it was great that the 2nd lightest (Alaska) matched perfectly. Coverage is light and evened out the redness from my skin. If you need heavier coverage, this is not for you. The TM is slightly buildable, but a concealer will be needed for darker blemishes. Color oxidation is minimal. Wear time: When I had a small flaky patch of skin, the TM did catch during application and settled a tiny bit. I used a smaller brush to blend it out. Generally, the TM lasted a full work day. I blotted occasionally, but I never hit the "shining oil spill red alert" stage. At the extreme, I was just dewy, and that's a big pro for me as products claiming "radiance" and "skin lit from within" tend to cross into OPEC nation very quickly for my oily T. If you blot a lot, you may need to touch up a bit. Also, I did not find the TM sinking into my pores or caking at the end of the day. Moisture/Hyperpigmentation reduction: While I use the Boscia Revitalizing Black Hydration Gel underneath because it's still dry and cold, my skin did not feel as dehydrated at the end of the day compared to when I was using my sunscreen & water-based foundation regimen. I can't really comment about the hyperpigmentation reductions as the Boscia moisturizer also has the same effect. Cost: $42, Reasonable considering you're getting a decently rated sunscreen, light moisturizer, and light coverage "foundation" in one. « less

does anyone have a good tinted moisturizer they use on combination skin? 🙈 i’m currently using Florence by Mills but it’s too dry for my skin and doesn’t have a natural/dewy finish so i mix it in with a maybelline tinted moisturizer (for color) and ponds moisturizer to help :/ i want something with sheer to light coverage, doesn’t look cakey, and has a natural or dewy finish!

Anyone know of a great tinted moisturizer that won’t make my skin look flakey or dry when applied to my skin, I’ve tried Clinique moisture surge and first aid beauty’s shade rage isn’t light enough for my skin. I have super dry, sensitive, acne prone skin. I’ve applied tinted moisturizer with my hands which left my skin flakey, then applied moisturizer and applied with a brush but still had the same affect, am I doing something wrong?? I want a natural finish without the hassle of a lot of makeup

What’s everyone’s favorite BB CREAM and/or tinted moisturizer? I have combination skin and it can be sensitive at times. I like a light weight and natural look!!
