pigmentation: pigmented

blends well

the packaging is absolutely gorgeous and the shades surpass any expectations when it comes to color choice, pigmentation, and their ability to blend

- Narscosmetics User

they blend effortlessly and last all day

" i found them to blend very well with good color payoff producing a natural flushed look if you use a light hand, but the pigments seem buildable if you want a more intense look

- Sephora User

online the colors for unfiltered ii look way more pigmented and darker, than in person so i was very disappointed when i swatched the colors in the store on my nc 25- 30, skintone

This palette is amazing! I have light skin with yellow undertones and Takeover is a perfect contour shade for me!! Looks like a subtle matte mauvy brown color!! And everything else just blends in so nicely!! I haven't even touched my Kat von d contour palette since I bought this, lol.. and the highlighter is perfect, super pigmented but looks natural! I couldn't ask for a better combinations of colors, the rest of the blushes are absolutely beautiful, good for fall or summer!! I hope they never discontinue this!! I get so many compliments on my cheeks now :) so worth it

Unfiltered II

I purchased the Unfiltered II palette because I already had exhibit A and thought several of the colors in Unfiltered I would lean a little dark on me (though I still think Unfiltered I is a beautiful and versatile palette). Let's start with the case. It might not be evident from the pictures on Sephora but the case is a colored mirrored finish. Beautiful, simple, but also smudges easily with fingerprints. Next comes the actual mirror, which is a good, high quality mirror that occupies the entire length/width of the palette. No complaints here. Now onto the palette. The colors in Unfiltered II are very wearable and work well for everyday use. I agree with the posts that say the colors are not as they appear on the Sephora website/promo. The actual colors are a little more muted (albeit still beautiful) and not as "in your face." I found them to blend very well with good color payoff producing a natural flushed look if you use a light hand, but the pigments seem buildable if you want a more intense look. Also, breaking down the price of the palette...each color is 0.12oz VS 0.16oz of the full sized NARS blush ($30). So you get 3/4ths the product of a full sized blush per color. From my calculations, the cost of the palette would be $135--not the $150 value that Sephora states. Someone, please correct me if my calculations are off! With that being said, this palette is well worth over the $59 cost. At the end of the day, I think these palettes are a great buy and everyone will be able to find value with one or both of these palettes. The quality of this palette is no different than what you would expect from NARS blushes (I own several singles, as well as a few holiday palettes). Pick one up as soon as it becomes available again! « less

Unfiltered II

The shiny, mirrory pink of this palette is gorgeous, but, beyond the packaging, I find it mediocre. The blushes tend to look similar on the skin, either pinkish or sandy, with varying degrees of shimmer. They do not seem as pigmented as the other Nars blushes I own, and I don't reach for the palette much. I wish a violet pink had been included because even this "cool" palette seemed to skew toward the overdone browns and peaches that aren't so flattering to cool undertones.

Excellent value, high quality blushes

The blushes in these palettes are excellent quality - pigmented, very smooth in texture, long-lasting, and very easy to blend. This is exactly what I have come to expect from NARS and these palettes are every bit as fantastic as my full sized NARS blushes. I have a light, neutral skin tone and am able to wear the shades from both palettes. Both palettes are beautiful, high quality, and such a great value that I would recommend picking up both if you think they will work on your skin tone. In addition to the quality, the value on the palettes is also outstanding. Each blush is 3/4 of the size of a full size NARS blush, making each shade worth $22.50, a total value of $135. These palettes cost just a little over half of the price you would pay for the same amount of blush in the full size line. Each palette has one shade from the permanent line and five new limited edition shades. However some of the new shades are similar to those in the permanent line. The observations I've made based on the shades I own are below, as well as swatches of both palettes. In Unfiltered I: Me First is close to the Dual Intensity Blush in Frenzy (right side). In Unfiltered II: Conquest is nearly identical to Sex Appeal and Candid is close to Goulue. I thought Fame would be close to Luster, but it's a bit more pink and doesn't have as much gold in it. Compared to Deep Throat, Fame has more peach. « less

Unfiltered I

This is such an incredible palette. I have never owned a Nars blush before, so I had no idea what the hype was about. Now I get it! These blushes just add something extra to your makeup, I can't even explain it. They are so beautiful and pigmented and easy to blend. This is a wonderful introduction to the brand, and now I can't wait to buy more blushes from Nars for my z-palette. I think Unfiltered I looks beautiful on tan/olive/medium skin, and the wonderful thing about having so many color options is that you can use multiple colors to give your face dimension (using darker colors towards the high beginning of your cheek bone and a lighter pop of blush on the apples of the cheek). A must have! I wish the lighter white color was replaced by another blush color, as I have no need for another highlighter, but it's still beautiful and useable; also it's still quite the value considering each separate blush is like $38, so even if you only use 3 of the colors, you've still made out like a bandit. « less
