Who here has started a 10 step K-Beauty Regimen? Love it or hate it? Recommend your fave products, please. Like what even is Essence?

K-beauty is great. But the “10 step” idea is more likely harmful than helpful for your skin since you are likely to over expose you skin to harmful ingredients :/ I included a link to a video where Hyram helps explain it but I’ll sum up what he said too. When you would normally get X amount of a vitamin/ingredient in one product and that is fine but if you multiply it across several products...you see what I mean? Often the main irritant from that sort of process is fragrance. Which if you didn’t know, companies don’t have to tell you what ingredients make up the label “fragrance”. Having a routine is good but toners, essences, and face masks can all often address the same issues in one product. 10 steps is overkill. Save your money and stick with something that’s more like 4 to 6 things(?) my not an expert guess haha. Anyways! My favorite Korean brands are iUNIK and Purito. They have great skincare with some fragrance free options. Hope that helps! :)

Hi, I have THE smallest shortest blonde little lashes. I have volume but I NEED length. So bad. I’ve tried- better then sex, essence, Tarte, and benefit! My favorite ever is JULEP length matters. But they don’t sell it at ulta anymore. Any recommendations? If they’re under $15 that would be cool. 😆

Thoughts on the Touch In Sol No Poreblem Primer or the Primer Essence?

It’s amazing. I highly recommend for people with oily skin and big pores. I have combination skin with big pores especially on my nose. It does an amazing job and applies my foundation beautifully on top.

HALPPP!! My makeup continues to slide off my face and transfer so easy and I’m so frustrated. Here is my current whole regiment.. I have large pores and a really oily t-zone.. Wash- philosophy’s purity cleanser Tone- Mario badescu witch hazel rose water Serum- neogen pore aid Moisturizer- Origins Matte moisturizer with willow herb Setting spray- Milani make it last Mac paint pot for t-zone Primer- Covergirl outlast all day or hourglass mineral veil Translucent powder- NCJ cosmetics (Nikkia joy) Foundation- matte fit me poreless or Estée Lauder when I want fuller coverage I set with powder and sometimes bake. What is going on here? I literally touch my nose to itch it and it slips my whole make up! 😔 I’m so discouraged! Thanks so much I’m advance 🙌

Try a primer that is more on the sticky side to help your makeup not move as much. This is a very good base to help makeup last a long time throughout the day. For the setting spray I recommend @All Nighter Setting Spray from urban decay. I use it daily and I absolutely love it! Hope this works for you!💕

What is essence used for? Does toner really help the skin barrier before moisturizer? I always thought it was just like a deeper clean after cleanser lol

an essence is used after your toner. a toner is a necessary step in your routine because it takes of any excess oils or dirt that your cleanser didn’t & trust me it works! especially around your hair line, ears, and neck. An essence is used after the toner because it’s what actually allows your pores to open & allows any skincare product you apply after to seep in your skin instead of sitting on top of it. in my skin care routine i like to go from thinnest to thickest cause it’s what works best for me . so it would be toner> essence> serum> eye cream> face cream> face oil. i know it’s a lot but trust me your skin will thank you!

Hey I’m trying to go for the 10 step Korean sink care routine but need help finding som products for my skin. I have dry skin, sensitive skin but I have never had any major breakouts. I really want to achieve the “glass skin” look. I am looking for a: 1. Oil cleanser 2. Water base cleanser 3. Exfoliator 4. Toner 5. Essence 6. Serum 7. Face mask 8. Eye cream 9. Moisturizer 10. Sunscreen I would hope that everything would total up to around 125$ if that is possible. #advice

Hey Ladies and Gents and those in between! I’ve asked a question similar to this before, but I wanted to get a bit more specific. What is a great MINERAL spf to use daily on my face? Please let me know if it’s a moisturizer spf or just spf! I have trouble sometimes figuring that out lol. Thank you lovelies! 🥰

This is totally mineral and it’s a moisturizer with spf 30. It’s great and won’t cause any outbreaks or irritation. My skins all time favorite.

Hello beauties! I just started a new skincare routine and I’m wondering if I’m missing anything? I have combo to oily with skin with lines (around the eyes) just beginning to form and extremely large pores and texture. Morning 1) Miscellar water - Garnier (sometimes a cleanser after - Philosophy) 2) Toner - Fresh 3) Vitamin C - Tatcha 4) Under eye cream - Drunk Elephant (thinking I want to try Shiseido 5) Moisturizer - Drunk elephant polypeptide (currently mixing with DEs marula oil) Night 1) Cleanser - Philosohy 2) Toner - Fresh 3) under eye cream - Drunk Elephant 4) Usually glycerin but I’ve begun introducing retinol, not in the same night! I use one or the other - both Drunk Elephant 5) Moisturizer mixed with the marula oil - DE I’ve been seeing ‘essence’ and don’t really get it lol. Is it just for added hydration?

I began using hydrating water essence around my eyes (it doesn’t say you can’t) and I developed redness and a rash. I stopped for a month and tried a special eye repair gel every night and I’m getting the same redness and rash. I knew I had sensitive skin but I can’t tell if it’s some kind of allergy or it’s a reaction to the product. What products do you suggest to reduce the redness and rash, and eventually to put on as a night eye cream?

Any mineral (physical) everyday sunscreen recommendations for face prone to eczema? I could use tinted ones as well. I want it to be hydrating, non-drying but non-greasy as well. Spf 50 preferred. Thanks!

I have been using the Coola brand spf and it has been great! No white cast once rubbed in and it comes in tinted and matte. I use spf 30 everyday and 50 when I’m going to the beach or in direct sun! In addition ThinkSport spf 50 on my body! Hope this helps!

@BridgetCreesy thank you for the advice! I am a bit cautious when it comes to matte sunscreens though. I hope it does not dry out the skin?

I work at Sephora and have tried them all. The best one for full coverage with minimal application would be the kate Somerville spray! It’s a mist that’s easily reapplied and it’s 50 spf.

I used this everyday on my trip to Havana and avoided sunburn on my face, ears, scalp, and shoulders. It’s easy to apply and carry. I love it
