Product applied nicely on top however did not feel hydrating for my dry skin. Also did not improve over the course of the day when I was working at the hospital. I actually got asked on a few occasions what mattifying products was I wearing... The answer is none btw. Probably better suited for oily skin girls or if you’re not looking for that dewy look.

So I've been using this Primer for the last few days and I've really enjoyed it. I'm not sure how to describe the smell of it, but it's not bad. This Primer does contain hemp-derived cannabis seed extract hydrates to help plump and smooth skin. It also had aloe water, cherry blossom, hyaluronic acid, and b vitamins to boost skin for a healthier looking base. What I do notice a difference in with this Primer compared to my normal Primer, I do see a brighter, more smoother base. My skin looks like I'm a natural, glowing goddes💁🏼‍♀️ And my favorite part, my makeup lasts so much longer. My makeup doesn't breakup on my nose or under my eyes, and I love it! This is definitely my new, favorite, go to Primer!

Absolutely LOVE this primer! Can’t say it enough. I’m very picky when it comes to finding the perfect primer, as I get pretty oily throughout the day and have sensitive skin when it comes to trying new products. This is oil and silicone free which is a plus! Doesn’t clog your pores with silicone and doesn’t add any oils to your face! The formula is very hydrating and smooths the skin so nicely! You can feel the “gripping” aspect when it starts to settle. I’ve been using a few days now and my makeup has been flawless and stayed on all day without any separation! I would recommend getting the full size versus the mini, better bang for your buck.

🖤 TLDR 🖤 Pros: Hydrating, Longlasting, Natural, Smooth Cons: Doesn't mix well with certain foundations 5/5, gorgeous with the right foundation. 🖤 Full Review 🖤 Literally my FAVORITE primer ever. However, this is a more water-based primer so I want to list foundations that it WORKS WITH and DOES NOT WORK WITH, in my trial and error. ⭐️ WORKS WITH ⭐️ ( * means personal favorite ) • Becca Ultimate Coverage Foundation • NARS Radiant Longwear Liquid Foundation* • NARS All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation • Hourglass Vanish Seamless Liquid Foundation* • Huda Beauty #FauxFilter Liquid Foundation • Anastasia Beverly Hills Luminous Foundation* • Milk Makeup Flex Stick Foundation* • Makeup Forever Ultra HD Foundation • Lancôme Teinte Idole Ultra Coverage Liquid Foundation 🚫 DOES NOT WORK WITH ( IN MY EXPERIENCE )🚫 Because Milk Makeup Hydrogrip is a water based HYDRATION foundation, any foundation that is water or oil based will not work well. These are the ones I tried that didn't work. • Tarte SEA Water Foundation • Clinique Beyond Perfecting Foundation • MAC Studio Waterweight Foundation • Cover FX Natural Finish Foundation If you find the right foundation, Milk Makeup Hydrogrip Primer works FANTASTIC! It makes makeup look gorgeous and natural and soft. The tackiness of the primer is only intial, as it makes the makeup stick much better! 100% recommend. ALL PHOTOS ARE WITH DIFFERENT FOUNDATIONS !

This might be my new 'holy grail'

An entire star on this rating is for the fact that it is silicone free. Whether you are like me, silicone breaks your skin out, or if you are just trying to cut down on the ingredient, a primer that WORKS and has no silicone is a hard find.My skin is combination, leaning towards dry, with an oily t zone. I could see the hydrating properties of this primer being difficult if you are prone to oily skin or prefer a very strong matte look.I barely noticed the smell personally, but i also enjoy the more...earthy/herbal scented products. What I immediately noticed is how sticky this formula. It was very strange at first, but it does exactly as describes and grips your product.I wear very light make up, I want my skin to shine through. This product enhances my skins appearance, is hydrating and holds onto the light application very well, drastically increasing the life of my make up once it is on my face. It dries down very nicely, I have no sensation of wearing primer/anything heavy on my face at all. As it does apply a bit thick, so this was a pleasant surprise.I have been using this for nearly a week every day, no apparent skin irritation or congestion yet. when paired with a good setting spray/powder, this is giving me whole new levels of silicone-free staying power. « less

HALPPP!! My makeup continues to slide off my face and transfer so easy and I’m so frustrated. Here is my current whole regiment.. I have large pores and a really oily t-zone.. Wash- philosophy’s purity cleanser Tone- Mario badescu witch hazel rose water Serum- neogen pore aid Moisturizer- Origins Matte moisturizer with willow herb Setting spray- Milani make it last Mac paint pot for t-zone Primer- Covergirl outlast all day or hourglass mineral veil Translucent powder- NCJ cosmetics (Nikkia joy) Foundation- matte fit me poreless or Estée Lauder when I want fuller coverage I set with powder and sometimes bake. What is going on here? I literally touch my nose to itch it and it slips my whole make up! 😔 I’m so discouraged! Thanks so much I’m advance 🙌

Try a primer that is more on the sticky side to help your makeup not move as much. This is a very good base to help makeup last a long time throughout the day. For the setting spray I recommend @All Nighter Setting Spray from urban decay. I use it daily and I absolutely love it! Hope this works for you!💕

Hey all you beautiful people, I need some constructive criticism please! Im trying to improve on my makeup skills and I don’t have anyone to ‘trial and error’ with... You know, that person who can be like “hey, that’s too much blush” or “your eyeshadow and lipstick are competing—one of them needs to be more neutral” that kind of stuff.... -Does the eyeshadow shading look okay? (Not really a good angle so don’t worry about that one lol) -Why does my forehead look so big and blank? —I know my eyebrows are a mess, I keep trying to do something with them but it is SO HARD for me to shape them and I just don’t know what the heck to do with them so I just let them grow ‘au natural’...😭 -Am I putting blush in the right spot for my face shape? On a side note, my foundation won’t stay in place (like in my nose) even after using concealer, setting spray and setting it all with finishing powder. I hope everyone is staying safe out there at the protests 💙BLM!! I love you all long time and look forward to chatting with whomever responds!

If you’re having trouble keeping your foundation in place use a gripping primer like @Hydro Grip Primer . Any sticky primer will work though I just like that one!

hey everyone <3 i’m in need of some serious help plz. i cant seem to make my makeup last throughout the day, even though i use a primer and a setting spray. i’ve been using the Lumi Magic Primer and the Too Faced Hangover 3-1 Setting Spray. by lunchtime, my makeup starts to look gross and i look super oily. it’s weird because my face almost looks better when i don’t use these products, except the problem i’m faced with then, is that the sun has the tendency of just straight up melting my foundation off, so i want to find a new primer and setting spray that’ll keep my face looking fresh throughout the whole day. any suggestions as to what i could try?? preferably nothing too expensive? :) thank u all for your help! <3 also, as far as my skin type goes, i mentioned earlier that my face gets super oily around lunch time. i went to the spa the other day, and the lady giving me a facial asked what skin type i have. i responded with combination, but she later on said that my skin is more on the dry side, and that all the oil i have is just compensating for how dry it is. i’m not sure if this matters when choosing a product, but just thought i’d mention it. thank you again for all your help!

hiiiiiie! when i do my eyeshadow i use a load of white or light peachy beige to blend and use as a base color, and i run out of it so fast!! i'm tired of buying whole new palettes when i don't need to, so i was wondering if anyone could recommend a brand that sells a single pan of matte white or matte light peachy-ish beige? thanks much 🥰 #recommendations #brands #eyeshadow #singles #matte

I would use a good primer base like milks brand! Also maybe putting concealer down as well so you dont run out so fast! This primer is tacky so its great at grabbing the pigment so you dont waste!

Currently searching for products to use on my birthday and I need advice on primers, longwearing foundations, concealers and powders with no flashback. So far I’m interested in trying Charlotte Tilbury’s most recent foundation and the pressed powder. Any luxury recommendations that are worth the splurge and hold up on combo/oily skin? I struggle with a lot of shine mainly between my brows and around my nose :)

lately i’ve been trying multiple foundations and concealers and have always had the same problem, with or without primer and moisturizing. the foundations and concealers together or by themselves won’t stick to my face. it’s like it rubs off and sticks to parts of my skin and makes it look weird. i don’t know what’s wrong or if i’m doing something wrong, but if anyone knows what’s going on, all help is appreciated!!
