Poor packaging, ineffective/overpriced product

I wanted to love this, but it did not perform. It did not "blur" anything on my face and pretty much comes down as a run of the mill setting spray if at all. I've used this several times now over the past few weeks and it hasn't really done anything for me in terms of mattifying or blurring pores. On top of this, the spray nozzle of this bottle is very POOR QUALITY and is probably on par with dollar store spray bottles -- it honestly feels like a squirt bottle to the face with some parts spraying too much and other parts too little. The spray nozzle does not evenly distribute the product and certain parts of my face will have like larger visible droplets landing on my face that I have to pat in so it doesn't look like I got rained on...not. cool. THEN there's the price. $38 for a little over 2 oz? This stuff should have been amazing for the price, but unfortunately it did not deliver. I usually love Milk for their innovative packaging and fairly priced, no frills products. This, however, missed the mark and was honestly a waste of my money. I would have returned it had I not used over half of it just from a few weeks of on/off use hoping that I would somehow grow to like it. There are other more reputable setting sprays out there that do the job and provide a reasonable amount of product for the price. This unfortunately was a very disappointing product. I love you, Milk, but not for this.

The best setting spray in the world.

As soon as I sprayed this setting spray upon my porous yet glowing beat. I was taken aback by how pores went from being visible to invisible in less than 30 sec. A minute into my experience I not only felt a rush of hydration but major satisfaction as I'm sure the molecules in my skin were singing and squealing for joy. I looked away from the mirror... I looked back. Staring back at me was not the same person who sprayed the initial spray of the Milk makeup Blur Spray but a more statuesque, smooth and more snatched version of my self. My skin stayed this way for the next 873 hours. Okay just 18 hours but my face was set and gorgeous and didn't feel parched or stingy. I absolutely love this setting and have literally douced my self husband and 3 children in it. I'm convinced it's Actual Milk.

This is really great for the summer months!

RoseCharlieRoseCharlie/ HALL OF FAMER HALL OF FAMER / 43m ago1Hello Lovely BT friends, @KatieBT, @ShiraBT, I’m so sorry for being MIA this week but my puppy had to have surgery so I’ve been a bit crazy with that but he’s doing much better now and to make up for taking a minute to do this I took did a whole crazy photoshoot lol. Before I jump into the reviews I’ll just explain what I’ve done: I’ve taken pictures at various points in my makeup routine to show what the products look like as I apply them and I’ve taken several pictures in different lighting because lighting affects how we look – I have southern exposure and tons of bright sunlight which is very flattering for pictures (the more light you beam at your face, the less the imperfections show) so I started in the bright 2pm sunlight and took pictures over several hours including at twilight/early evening to show what the products look like when lit with overhead lighting. I applied all the products (including the LaNeige mask the evening before the shoot) and here is the overall “look” when it all came together – notice the puppy patiently waiting for me to be finished while photobombing me lol. I already posted pics of the products but for the sake of convenience and rounding up everything in one place I’ll post my review of each product, the pictures of that product and the pictures of my face after applying said product. As an aside, in this “full look” I am wearing the new Givenchy lipstick that is currently up in the rewards bazaar, it has a beautiful consistency feels very confortable on the lips and really stays put.THE FULL LOOK - MAIN.jpgLa Neige Sleeping Water MaskLaNeige consistency 2.jpgThe first thing I noticed about this mask is that the size is quite generous for the price and secondly, it felt very pleasant upon application. It has a cool and light gel-like texture and while it is scented I found the scent pleasant and light. Bear in mind, however, that I enjoy scents in my facial care products since for me a pleasant and lovely scent is part of what makes my beauty rituals pleasant. I have had the chance to try this mask several different ways now – in the daytime for a couple of hours, at night without moisturizer and at night with moisturizer. I have found that to get the best result out of this mask you really should leave it overnight – leaving it on for two hours produced nice results but leaving it on for a full 6-7 hours really made a difference for me. I was most pleased with the results after trying the mask on top of serum and moisturizing cream – it worked really well on top of creams that had high hyaluronic acid content and I felt like it was kind of helping to “set” or “capture” the additional moisture. I put on a thick layer and did some reading for 30 minutes and by the time I was done the mask was not at all sticky and did not threaten my pillows in any way lol. I’ve used the mask twice now this week with a hyaluronic acid based cream underneath and it has made quite a difference for the level of moisture in my skin. My skin feels plumped and very hydrated and I will definitely keep using it. I wouldn’t recommend using this on the eye area, (and maybe y’all will think this is super obvious but I like to try everything) while it’s great for capturing moisture when I tried it directly on my eye area I could see that it was not suited for this area (I didn’t burn or anything like that I just felt like it might clog the lash follicles if liberally applied to the eye area on purpose but there’s not concern about it doing that if used normally on the face). I think this is a really nice mask to wear in the hot summer months because of the cool gel-texture. Some overnight masks can feel a little oppressive in the hot weather but this was pleasant.MILK BLUR SPRAYMilk Blur Spray.jpgOMG – I freaking LOVED this product! I did not realize that I needed this product in my life and it is probably not a product I would have purchased on my own but I am SO HAPPY to have been given this chance to try it because it is AMAZING! I had been a little unimpressed with setting sprays in the past and I thought that my translucent powder was good enough as far as makeup setting and creating a matte canvas went but I am thrilled to see myself proved wrong in a way that allows me to improve the look of my skin and the performance of my makeup. There are several things that impressed me about this product – first of all it has a pleasant sort of subtly mentholated smell and feels pleasant and cool to the skin when sprayed on – I have very sensitive skin and eyes and for the sake of science I doused myself in the stuff and even sprayed it directly onto my eyes a few times (with my eyes closed) and I’m happy to report that I could open my eyes a second or two after and that it caused no irritation whatsoever – it felt very pleasant. It really did a nice job of setting the foundation and powder (and even eye makeup) that I applied and I even found that after applying it my skin really did look better – more poreless – than with my foundation and powder alone. I like a natural looking foundation because I don’t like thick coverage I always use Guerlain Lingerie de Peau, which is sheer and natural looking, and with the Blur Spray on top I couldn’t even tell that I was wearing anything. I was pleased to see that the spray added no thickness and that it enhanced the look of nice, poreless natural skin. It was a very hot day and I took pictures over several hours - I even went outside with my pups – and usually I would have sweated off a part of my foundation but the spray really did help my makeup stay in place looking nice and moisture free. I applied this liberally to my entire face including my eyes and I was wearing metallic eyeshadow and I’m happy to report that it does not affect metallic (it does not dull them). It gives your skin a nice matte finish but if you have metallic shadow or highlighter it won’t affect their performance. If you’re going to try this product DON’T FORGET TO GIVE IT A GOOD SHAKE FIRST! This really makes a difference for the blurring effect. I freaking love this product. I did not know that I needed it but now that I do I’ll definitely be re-purchasing. « less

Normally I wouldn't write a review but I couldn't believe how this didn't have 5 stars all around. I'm an oily girl and I usually use the UD all-nighter. Throughout the day my nose and cheeks still got oily enough to use blotting papers. This Milk spray blows the UD out of the water. It's June in Florida and raining every day, yet my nose is hardly oily. I've even started wearing highlighter to give myself a glow since my oil isn't peeking through anymore. I never do this in the summer, so it's kind of a big deal. I spray before using primers and let it sink in, then again once I finish my powders. Pure magic. Here are the downsides: 1. Price: I'm not one to shy away from something that's a bit pricey (I use a YSL primer), but I could go through a bottle a month at this size. I'll probably save it for special occasions or especially humid days. 2. Smell: I can't put my finger on it, but it *almost* smells like beer that's been sitting on the counter all night. This could just be me. 3. Nozzle: it's not as "misty" as other sprays I've used. It's certainly not the worst, but for the price I would expect a top-notch misty-mist. Despite the drawbacks, it's still easily a 5-star product. I'll continue to repurchase and sing its praises to anyone who cares.
