Are the Milk Makeup sticks worth the money?

I’ve tried the watermelon serum (is great and have repurchased), the cooling water (was good but idk if it’s necessary for my skincare routine), the bronzer stick (a more recent purchase but have been using almost every time I do my makeup and love the way it looks. It says it’s matte but I think it’s more natural looking on the skin). I think that if you find something that you would really like to try, I think that it is worth the money. I’ve loved what I’ve tried from milk and would love to try more.

Mine are there lip and cheek cream blush, their cream bronzers, and the kush mascaras. For skincare I do like their cooling water but I recommend the mini because the big one is way too big for under eyes.

Use witch hazel. My sister has pretty bad acne, but since she started using this, it has cleared up a lot. Some of her scarring is going away as well! Also, drink water mixed with apple cider vinegar. It doesn't taste great, but it gives your skin a healthy glow and cleans out a lot of toxins that could be affecting your break outs.

@Miriam Alexis i’ll consider drinking water with apple cider vinegar! thank you! BUT, i’m scared to use witch hazel because i have sensitive skin and i might be allergic to it. I believe so because whenever I would go and get my eyebrows threaded, they would apply witch hazel at the end and I would get these red bumps all over my forehead and eyebrows (the area where they applied it) for not even days, but i’d say about 2 weeks. So i think i’m allergic to it ;( i just don’t get my eyebrows done anymore and i haven’t used it since then! it’s been like 2 years now.

thoughts on the milk hydro grip primer? is it worth it? if so what’s your skin type and concerns.

I really like it, I think it’s a great basic primer for all skin types because all it does is hold on the foundation not help oiliness or dryness. I have dry skin and I really liked it!

anyone tried glossier, nudestix, milk makeup, or any similar brands? if so what do you like and what do you not like?

I’ve used glossier, almost all of the products actually. If you’re all about the basic products, glowy skin, minimum pigmentation and effort id highly recommend. The priming moisturizer is great underneath makeup, the skin tint is beautifully luminous and evens out the skin tone the slightest bit. The stretch concealer is SO brightening and lightweight it’s so beautiful. The cloud paints are low maintenance and pigmented perfectly and don’t budge once you put them down. The boy brow is great to fill in the brows and lift them and they stay like cement. The mascara is exactly what they advertise: lash extensions without the extensions. I highly recommend that brand and what they stand for, I absolutely love it so much

Is it okay to mix a water based primer with a silicone based foundation? This is the primer I’m asking about and the foundation is the makeup forever ultra HD foundation.

So I’ve found that if I wear silicone under water it’s a MESS but if I wear water under silicone it’s fine, but not the best. That’s not what the rules say lol, so it can also depend on your skin chemistry. The CoverFX hydrogrip primer works well with most foundations so I say try it out. The Milk may be similar?

This is my eyelash routine. My favorite part of my makeup is my eyelashes. I have long eyelashes but they’re very flat. I curl them for about 30 seconds, adding and taking off pressure to get the best curl possible. Then I apply my waterproof L’oréal unlimited mascara to hold the curl and add length. Then I apply the kush Milk Makeup mascara for volume and blackness. Hope this helps people with flat lashes!

when curling them make sure you get as close to the base of your lashes as possible and sometimes i even will lift it a little higher, clamp again, little higher clamp again, and go like hallways up my lashes and curl all up there to give extra curl. it could also be the fact that the mascara is too heavy? i would personally recommend benefit roller lash the brush is curved specifically to keep your lashes up all day!

What’s the best primer for oily skin and that covers pores? I use the milk makeup blur stick and it works wonders it really hours out my pores but it makes me oily quickly I also put some in a blotting sheet and the sheet became clear 😔

Has anyone tried shopping for makeup at Marshall’s/TJ Maxx? I went shopping today for some products and there were so many great inexpensive products that I usually spend so much money on—but I’ve heard mixed reviews ie. the makeup is fake, expired, defective, etc. Can anyone offer any insight? Thank you! #shopping #makeup #luxury #drugstore #help #tips

What happens is stores like Sephora and Ulta overstock. They then send the excess makeup to places like tjmax and marshals. Usually the people who price the products at these places don’t know much about makeup prices and mark them down.

@Alexis Navarro that’s really good to know! I was curious about how TJ Maxx, Marshall’s, and other retailers were getting the products in the first place! I noticed that many of the prices were totally lowballing high end brands (ex. a Kevyn Aucoin highlighter retails for $61, but TJ Maxx charges $17.99 and the label says the product is marked down from $30).

Any recommendations for a cleanser for sensitive skin? I’ve been noticing lately that my makeup remover isn’t cleaning my skin as well as I thought and my toner is just removing makeup instead of balancing my skin. SOS!!

I wear mascara most days but I have fragile eyelashes and taking off the mascara is hard to do without making my eyelashes fall out, I know my eyelashes will fall out to an extent with anything I use, but does anyone know any good drugstore makeup remover that would help with this problem?

i highly recommend a Micellar Cleansing water! It gently removes makeup and is WAY better than a traditional makeup wipe. Not only is it good for mascara but any other dirt or makeup that is on the face.

The best foundation in the game. Wore it on my wedding day and sobbed and loved my best life. I’ve yet to find anything more flexible, full coverage, and light.
