no flashback

this powder is good at controlling shine and passing the "flash test" (taking a picture of yourself with the flash on and testing to see if your face is noticeably powdery)

- Ulta User

no flashback and makes the skin look so smooth

- Ulta User

pore minimizing

pore minimizing

it instantly mattifies my skin and smooths out the texture and pores

- Ulta User

it goes on smooth, doesn't emphasize pores, sets my makeup well controlling oils, and gives a nice finish

- Ulta User

blends well

keeps under eyes completely flawless and blends out amazing

- Ulta User

perfect for baking and blends well

i really like how it makes my skin look smoother and it helps with my oily skin

- Ulta User

it leaves the skin looking smooth and very velvety, i pair it will the fitme foundation and it is my go to makeup

- Ulta User

staying power

it set my makeup perfectly and helped it stay really long

- Walgreens User

this powder is the key to locking in my stay all day face

- Ulta User

i really like how light weight it was

- Walgreens User

i am constantly on the look out for a great finishing powder that controls my shine but doesn't look cakey

- Walgreens User

under eye

good for under eye

i decided to try this product after loving the brands fit me foundation and i love this powder after trying it , it is very good at setting your entire face makeup for the entire day aswell as baking your undereye concealer to make sure it does not crease, i would buy this product again as it is just as good as some of the more high end expensive products without the expensive price tag that comes along with them, overall a good buy

- Walgreens User

i use this every day to set my eyes and under eyes and it gives me that soft glow allllll day long

- Ulta User

color accuracy

doesn't oxidize

it doesn't oxidize which is always a concern on my fair skin and it keeps my make up looking fresh, without conflicting with my foundation shade

- Walgreens User

i love this powder it is so finely milled i use it to bake on my under eyes and t zone i love that it doesn’t change the color of my foundation

- Walgreens User

this one is beautiful and sooo brightening

- Ulta User

its really gonna give other products a run for their money, its super long lasting really good with controlling the excess shine, i got the shade medium deep complimentary, i used this with my fit me matte and poreless foundation and it applied really well, it wasn't too ashy and i did press it into my skin with my beauty blender which i think helped and it kept me super matte, the only con is that i wish there was a shade between medium deep and deep it would make the perfect color for me

- Maybelline User

medium coverage

it gives me medium coverage that makes my skin look very natural

- Ulta User

its light weight and medium coverage which is perfect in my opinion for a more natural look

- Walgreens User

best use

looks smooth and doesn't settle in any creases

- Ulta User

i used it with a damp beauty blender to bake my under eyes and also used it to set my whole face and this stuff is just gorgeous

Oily skin beware

If you have oily skin this is not the powder for you. It looks great for the first hour. After it reaches its oil intake threshold it breaks apart, it settles into pores and it DESTROYS the foundation/concealer underneath. It ate ONLY the stuff it touched leaving me looking like a calico mess. I tried the pressed powder too thinking the formula will be different enough (it was a matte long lasting blah blah blah), no. The whole FitMe powders are not made for oily skin. And when I used it to "bake" undereyes, it creased the concealer and made it look like I had horrible wrinkles and weird cakey mess for under eyes. It also changes the color of the foundation by giving it a slightly weird grey/pale tone. Pass. HARD pass.

I use the Maybelline loose setting powder in shade: deep! I follow Jackie Aina’s setting powder tips and use it to bump up my prime + prep stage and for setting my concealers. Unlike my usage of airspun I don’t get any flash back and I don’t crease on my under eyes. This setting powder is also WOC friendly and does not break the bank (and this is coming from a full time college student). Also please excuse the photo it’s a screenshot from a Snapchat video! 😂 Edit: I do get flashback! This product contains ingredients that attribute to flashback- I will still leave 5 stars on it though because the foundation I use also contains ingredients that attribute to flashback. I love this powder still but will be using much less of it. If flashback isn’t a care in your world then get this powder!

I am in love with this powder. It has the smoothest application and doesn't look cakey or ashy on the skin. I love how it also has some coverage for those who don't wear liquid foundation. But I pair it with my maybelline fit me matte and poreless liquid foundation and the coverage is flawless. I would definitely recommend this powder especially because it's so affordable. This has been my go to powder since I purchased it and I love it.

I was excited off top to try this product because the Maybelline FIT ME foundation is one of my favorite go to drugstore foundations. I knew this product would not disappoint. The packaging is sleek and sophisticated and it is very similar to the FIT ME! foundation bottle. Very Pleasing to the eye and would look great on any vanity. I decided that I was not going to use the FIT ME! foundation with this finishing powder because I wanted to see how well it blended with another brand of foundation. Instead, I used the Black Radiance Color Perfect Oil-Free Foundation (which is another one of my favs!) I applied the loose powder on top of my foundation as a finisher and it blended perfectly. Honestly, I did not expect the colors to blend so well, but this finishing powder is the perfect finisher. When I was dusting it on my face I could see my foundation matting up instantly. The texture is so soft and dainty. It is so lightweight and not ashy looking at all. It looks amazing on the skin. It didn’t come with a brush so I just used a bronzing brush that I already had. It is so even and easy to spread over my skin. After a couple of hours I really didn’t have to re-apply it. I have combination skin and It held the oils from my face in pretty well. My bestie gifted this to me after I tried and raved about the Fit Me Matte & Poreless Liquid Foundation. I'd had already wanted to try this after a YouTuber I follow kept raving about it. I love powder to set my foundation. I've tried a lot of powders and this is my favorite powder ever. Now that I have it, I haven't touched my other powders. The powder kept me from getting a breakthrough shine during the day but I will get the matching pressed powder for my purse just in case. No smile lines, my under eyes looked smooth and my skin was so even and flawless. It has some light coverage (not completely translucent)and it's so smooth and fine that it sets my under eyes and my face. It leaves you with an airbrushed finish. No cons... just a fabulous powder.

CombinationCombination Skin
Hello! I have combination to oily skin and currently use the @Pro Filt'r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation but my skin got flakier when I started applying my foundation. Could it be because of the foundation or because of my acne medication which includes tretinoin, a retin a, has been drying my skin out a lot? Also, can I please get suggestions on primers, setting sprays, concealers, powders to use after concealer, and foundation? Thank you!

When I set my concealer under my eyes (Elf matte Camo concealer and Airpun loose powder). It makes my concealer look patchy and not cute. Any recommendations??

I use the same concealer and it might just be the airspun loose powder because I use this maybelline one and it looks FLAWLESS.

Any suggestions for setting powders? I currently use the airspun loose face powder in shade translucent and it gives me an ashy look. When I use it on my mother who is of darker complexion it works perfectly 😭 I get creases under my eyes as well.

If you want an affordable option, Maybelline’s Fit Me loose powder is one of the best powders I’ve ever used. I definitely prefer it over Laura Mercier’s. Also, it doesn’t leave you looking dry or anything.

so my skin is normally dry and it can be dewy sometimes. When i use concealer and a little foundation it looks perfect but then i set it and it goes downhill from there. Every powder i use, oxidizes and literally pills off of my face :( how can i wear foundation and keep it on all day if i cant use powder?

i don’t think it’s necessarily a problem with powders in general. Your foundation &/or powders are probably the issue. If you want to test out a tried-and-true powder, the Maybelline loose powder is super good and affordable. Also, oxidation is definitely a sign of bad powder. What products do you use?

I’m looking for a good powder for dry skin. Most powders make my skin look super dry and textured. At most I wear light foundation or bb cream, so that has to be set.

I have combo skin that gets oily throughout the day. I currently use L’oréal Freshwear foundation and set with Coty Airspun. I just feel that the coty isn’t setting my makeup as well as I’d like it to. What other setting powders are good? I’m very pale so I usually go for translucent but it can’t have flashback. I also don’t want anything high end/expensive and nothing that will make me look like a cake face lol (any setting sprays will also be helpful) TIA❤️

Airspun isn’t my fav either and as much hype as it gets, it’s not THAT good :/ my favorite drugstore setting powder is this one! And I’ve used it with the same foundation which I LOVE and it works really well
