I need help finding a foundation or tinted moisturizer. My skin is very sensitive, dry, acne prone. Ive been using urban decays all nighter and it’s too Matte for my skin. It seems to dry it out even more and looks very cakey. I’ve had to do some major damage control using curology and my acne has cleared but I have to be diligent with my skincare. I just want either a foundation or a tinted moisturizer that’s light, hydrating but won’t cause a breakout.

Hey there! First of all, I feel you girl! Sensitive skin can be SO annoying because whatever you feed it could cause an eruption at random. I have sensitive, acne prone, OILY skin, and so that is always a fun complex to try and keep calm. Urban Decays All Nighter is great, and is considered one of the most “full coverage foundations on the market.” Because of this, UDAN can be extremely heavy for us sensitive skin gals. I have listed 3 foundations below that I feel could be some gentle, hydrating solutions to try. Hope this is able to help! Keep on keeping on, girlfriend! I promise there is light at the end of this precocious tunnel! 😉 -CoverFX Natural Finish Foundation This is a medium to full coverage dream cream foundation. I absolutely LOVE it. CoverFX is one of the only brands that is a high performance line without pthatlates, sulfates, silicone, mineral oil, fragrance. It’s also gluten free, cruelty free and vegan. A sensitive skin girls safe haven. Because of the creamy, slightly dewy, natural formula, it will feel very comfy on dry skin. -Clinique’s Even Better Foundation w/ SPF This foundation is fabulous for those of us with combo/dry skin and acne scarring. In the Clinique realm, the Even Better foundation is considered the “magic eraser” for discoloration, dark spots, and acne scars. It helps to even out the skin tone in a nice medium to full, buildable coverage. The formula is almost a thin, watery consistency, so it is very lightweight. Very comfy on dry skin. Clinique has been known for their “allergy-rested, fragrance free,” stamp of approval, so sensitive skin types have thrived in their line for years. -First Aid Beauty Tinted Moisturizer This stuff is the bomb dignity. Gives a perfect sheer to medium coverage. Gives you your SPF, and is hydrating while being extremely sensitive friendly! First Aid Beauty’s line was actually founded on the need for skin care curated for eczema clients and extreme sensitive skin cases. So this is as “skin friendly” as it gets. I absolutely LOVE First Aid Beauty. There is a slight luminous effect in the formula that is quite stunning on the skin as well! 😊
