blendability

blends well

and the contour shade is absolute perfection; appropriately cool-toned, very pigmented and buttery so you only need one light swipe to get enough product for half the face, and blends very easily

i tried a lot of contouring palettes from sephora, most of them are too pink or orange, i have light to medium olive skin tone, the mirage filter 40 matches my skin tone perfectly, the pale yellow highlight is great for setting under eye and the high points of the face, the ashy bronze are very subtle yet buildable, it looks ashy from the tray but once you apply to the face it blends beautifully with just enough yellow undertone, the powder is extremely fine milled, for that high price tag and what you getting for the quality i think it's worth it, plus the packaging is so sleek and luxury, it has replaced all of my bronzing and highlighting powders, i use it with the re(marc)able foundation, they are the match made in heaven

Zero Pigment

I was excited to try this because the powders are so creamy and finely milled but nothing shows up on my face. I am very fair and yet you can't see any product. The light shade does nothing, it doesn't show up at all when you swatch it and there is no highlighting or illuminating effect when you wear it. The dark shade will not show up on my skin no matter what I do, I've tried using different primers and foundations but nothing works, theres no pigment in the product. This is a pricy product and yet it does absolutely nothing, save your money because this is definitely not worth it.

Makes contouring very, very easy!

I have medium skin tone, and the medium palette works perfectly for me. The yellow-toned highlighting powder is absolute perfection, I use my sephora airbrush concealer brush to set my concealer with it, and I see absolutely no creasing, I have genetic under eye lines and concealer always creased on me, but not with this powder! It is so soft, buttery and pigmented, highlights my under eye area beautifully while setting my concealer. And the contour shade is absolute perfection; appropriately cool-toned, very pigmented and buttery so you only need one light swipe to get enough product for half the face, and blends very easily. It creates the most natural contour I have tried. This pallete made contouring verrrry easy and fast for me, I didn't do it everyday before I got it, but now I do, it makes such a big difference and takes less than a minute to get done. (I use it with my makeup forever dual-ended contouring brush). I highly recommend this product over the other contouring pallets out there (for non-makeup artists), since you have two shades that you will actually use up. « less

Super Smooth and Blendable!

I have been using this contour palette for about two weeks now and I am very pleased! First of all, the palette is huge, making it very easy to load powder onto the brush. The powder itself is silky smooth and sheer, making it easy to build up to the perfect shade and blend it to a natural looking finish. My skin is fair to light with cool undertones, so I debated between Mirage (40) and Dream (20), just because I was worried about how the yellow would look on my very pink skin. I ended up getting Mirage because the brown is cooler toned than the one in Dream, so it was a pleasant surprise to find that the yellow cancels out some of my ruddiness and brightens my under eye area. Unfortunately since I am pale to begin with there is little "highlighting" effect. If you are looking for a product that will give you that extreme drag queen/instagram style contour this product is probably not for you. I have tried it with the palette and it is achievable, but you have to put on several layers to get a deep color, so if that’s something you like to do on a daily basis you might want to consider a different product. I really enjoy this palette because you see the effect a good contour can have, without looking like you have five layers of product on. I will definitely repurchase in the future! « less

Holy cheekbones, batgirl!!

I waited to get this palette because I was skeptical of its powers, until I saw some YT reviews and decided to try it. I'm really glad I did. Like so many others, I have about 7 different contour & highlight kits so I didn't want another one. What makes this one different, and in many ways better, than the rest?1. Texture: super creamy and very finely milled.Pros: super blendable, very natural looking, blends easily with your natural skinCon: kicks up a good amount of powder (use a dense brush; don't tap your brush in it, just swipe gently)2. Color: superb color match, even for hard to match skinI'm a fair/NC20 with neutral undertones. It's not that easy to find the right shade of contour without going overboard in any direction, it's also easy to look jaundiced with a yellow highlight. This set does none of that. I will say, however, when I first started applying my color (#40), I didn't see an overwhelming pop of color - which is a good thing. It took me a minute to realize how subtle and amazing the difference is with this product. And that's the key - the ideal contour should look natural. It should look like the best version of you.3. Ease of use: very easy to figure out ideal technique & placement on your face, travel friendly, all-in-one.This duo packs a mighty punch, don't underestimate its modest appeal. This has done more for my bone structure than any other I've tried so far. I have yet to find a powder product that blends so well into my skin that it actually looks natural, not 'done'. Its insanely creamy texture will fool you into thinking it's a cream at first! It sure blends like one. « less

EASY TO USE + BEAUTIFUL FINISH

I LOVE this contour duo. I have a nice hand at make-up, but when it comes to contouring, I'm lost. I looked at the Kat von D and Anastasia pallets since they were the highest rated at the time, but they had too many colors and it seemed like wasted product and space. This duo was my ANSWERED PRAYER. It's blendable, buildable, pigmented, and just easy to use. I use it with the "Face II" brush from MJ and it's phenomenal for my fair, yellow undertoned combination skin. (p.s. layers well over Nars Sheer Glow Foundation) :) Cheers!
