Use witch hazel. My sister has pretty bad acne, but since she started using this, it has cleared up a lot. Some of her scarring is going away as well! Also, drink water mixed with apple cider vinegar. It doesn't taste great, but it gives your skin a healthy glow and cleans out a lot of toxins that could be affecting your break outs.

@Miriam Alexis i’ll consider drinking water with apple cider vinegar! thank you! BUT, i’m scared to use witch hazel because i have sensitive skin and i might be allergic to it. I believe so because whenever I would go and get my eyebrows threaded, they would apply witch hazel at the end and I would get these red bumps all over my forehead and eyebrows (the area where they applied it) for not even days, but i’d say about 2 weeks. So i think i’m allergic to it ;( i just don’t get my eyebrows done anymore and i haven’t used it since then! it’s been like 2 years now.

You should try micellar water on a towel or cotton pads. I usually use these and my face handles it well

@Madi M. Lee it really gets everything off in my opinion. I still do a little wash with oatmeal soap after using it just because I’m so used to washing my face at night. But if I don’t want to get up and wash it, I won’t break out in the morning like I would with a makeup wipe

What is your go to foundation? I love a fuller coverage with a matte finish that is long lasting. I am currently using Makeup forever HD and while the coverage is amazing it doesn’t stay on very long for me. I also have acne prone skin so something that won’t clog my pores. Thank you!

Laura mercier flawless fusion! I’ve tried every expensive foundation on the market! Anywhere from fenty to Bobbie brown but this one is flawless, full coverage, matte finish without looking dry or cakey. I’ve been hooked for years.

bronzer is your best friend when it comes to doing ur makeup especially being pale like I am. Make sure to get a nice natural bronzer, I like the ones by ABH they’re really easy to blend and they balance out ur skin tone so you don’t look dead!! Also with the lipsticks don’t go for a nude that makes u look like you have foundation on your lips, get a mauve or light brown toned one instead

The best thing to do is get products that are very gentle as well as make sure you yourself are hydrated. Once you’ve made sure you’re using quality products and you yourself are hydrated, make sure you’re taking care of that skin with a quality cleanser and moisturizer. As far as application a damp sponge is probably gonna be your best bet! Don’t drag or swirl a brush on your skin it will cause micro exploitation and make your base very flaky and cakey. Dab that sponge on your face girl!! Also try a light weight foundation. I really like the L’Oréal pro glow foundation but if you have the budget I’d def go with the Clinique moisture surge CC cream. I used the pro glow for the longest time and loved it. I just prefer the Clinique for a very natural “my skin but better” look

@Tayler Morse Thank you!! I love my beauty blender and definitely don’t enjoy using brushes for foundation application 💜 I’m not the best at hydration, but I definitely use moisturizers and exfoliate and all that jazz 😌 Thank you for the tips!!

Has anyone tried shopping for makeup at Marshall’s/TJ Maxx? I went shopping today for some products and there were so many great inexpensive products that I usually spend so much money on—but I’ve heard mixed reviews ie. the makeup is fake, expired, defective, etc. Can anyone offer any insight? Thank you! #shopping #makeup #luxury #drugstore #help #tips

What happens is stores like Sephora and Ulta overstock. They then send the excess makeup to places like tjmax and marshals. Usually the people who price the products at these places don’t know much about makeup prices and mark them down.

@Alexis Navarro that’s really good to know! I was curious about how TJ Maxx, Marshall’s, and other retailers were getting the products in the first place! I noticed that many of the prices were totally lowballing high end brands (ex. a Kevyn Aucoin highlighter retails for $61, but TJ Maxx charges $17.99 and the label says the product is marked down from $30).

Any recommendations for a cleanser for sensitive skin? I’ve been noticing lately that my makeup remover isn’t cleaning my skin as well as I thought and my toner is just removing makeup instead of balancing my skin. SOS!!

I wear mascara most days but I have fragile eyelashes and taking off the mascara is hard to do without making my eyelashes fall out, I know my eyelashes will fall out to an extent with anything I use, but does anyone know any good drugstore makeup remover that would help with this problem?

i highly recommend a Micellar Cleansing water! It gently removes makeup and is WAY better than a traditional makeup wipe. Not only is it good for mascara but any other dirt or makeup that is on the face.

Good setting spray? Not to expensive? And won’t make my skin oily? I tried revolution makeups and it made my makeup blotchy. As did my Mac prep and prime 😢 I love urban decay all nighter...but it’s so expensive 😬

Honestly anything from the peach perfect line is amazing. I use the primer, foundation and setting powder and it stays all day! It’s an investment but any of those on their own are worth looking into. My skins super oily and I’ve never been able to wear a foundation for hours in the hot summer and get complimented on how my skin looked!
