I love every Prep+Prime product I've tried. This eye base will absolutely keep your shadow on all day/night. It can be more difficult to blend shadows if you don't apply another base shadow on top, so you just have to be more precise on where you want your shadow to stay when using this. Now, the reason for this review is because this "eye base" also is amazing to overdraw your lips. If you apply just a tiny amount to the border of your lips (and slightly beyond), let it set, then draw your line with lip liner, the liner will really grip the surface and stay put. I then use the actual Lip Prep+Prime on the rest of my lips. I've used the eye base all over and it's just too drying for the whole lip area. The combination of both creates the perfect base for drawing a slightly plumper looking pout! Less

I have monolids/hooded lids. I’d say more hooded lids then anything else. But needless to say I have very little “eyeshadow real estate” on my lids and I’ve tried so many primers in my life. Some work and do a decent job but none have resulted in “all day wear” with no shadow in my creases and non-gresey lids. My lids have a tendnecy to sweat or grease up and even the best products won’t stand up. This stuff has been a miracle! I have never, I repeat... NEVER worn eye shadow from 8am till bed at 12 midnight with it looking like it was right when I applied it. I love eyeshadow but almost never wear it because of that and this is life changing. I almost wanted to cry (and it would have stayed put then too!). It goes on and then dries with a little bit of a matte finish. I thought blending out my shadows would pull some off and it doesn’t. Also withstood hot Louisiana heat and humidity on my recent trip! It’s a small tube but a little goes a long way. Regardless, the price is little to pay to be able to wear shadows on a regular basis! « less

This eye base is so long lasting, my shadow looks the same at the end of the day with this primer under. It is also very extendable, so a little goes a long way. I think this small tube will last almost forever. It also doesn't smell anything, goes transparent on so that your shadow color stays original and doesn't get altered in any way. The texture feels like velvet too. Only thing, sometimes I find certain shadows don't blend as well on this base so I really need to pat shadows on instead of swiping, because this primer is really matte and could be drying, maybe I'll try applying more amount of it under shadow.

I REALLY wanted to love this product. Been looking for a replacement from my Urban Decay since I don't like using wands (even though I love the product), and I thought for certain that MAC would be the next best option. I do have oily skin, but my shadow creased in under 12 hours and faded dramatically. Ive used it more than once in hopes that perhaps it would be different for me. Each time, same result. Finding a great primer is extremely important to me as I am training to be a flight attendant and my makeup looking fresh is crucial. The search for the perfect primer continues for me.
