After reading many reviews I purchased Subculture. I wanted a light pink nudey color with staying power. I got the staying power. The pencil goes on well & stays on. It is a firm pencil- not creamy- but that is my preference. Initially the color was perfect- a lightish pinkish nudish beige-ish mashup that sounds awful but is actually pretty with a bit of underground edge. BUT- after a couple hrs of wear....it started turning orange. So disappointing! It pulls orange on me! Ladies just beware it has the potential. Returned & exchanged for Bobbi Brown Ballet Pink.

The hype is worthy. what an incredible colour, texture is creamy and stays on, great product

If I could only use one MAC lip product for the rest of my life, this would be it. It glides on and leaves the most opaque, gorgeous color that lasts all day. This is seriously the best lip liner ever. I only wish this color and consistency would be made into it's own lipstick (like the Ruby Woo lipstick and Pencil) because a Soar lipstick would be a GAME CHANGER.

I am very impressed with these lip pencils. I normally go for retractable ones because they are creamy, easier to apply, etc. Lip pencils usually drag, aren't very pigmented, and don't apply well to hydrated lips. However, these are really pigmented, easy to apply without dragging, actually work well over lip balm, very long lasting, and sharpen to a nice point. I recently got Magenta and LOVED it, so I had to go out and buy another, so I chose Cherry. It looks a lot like Ruby Woo in pencil form, so it works well with blue based reds such as, Ruby Woo, Russian Red, Mac Red, and even Viva Glam 1 to make it brighter. They are totally worth the money you pay, and are the best lip pencils I've ever tried. They can also be used as an all over lipstick, and you can never go wrong with a multi-use product. I've purchased Velvet Teddy so often for myself and now my daughter, who was skeptical that her mom knew a single thing about makeup. It's wonderful to hear her tell her friends that it's her go-to lip color now. I will never be without Velvet Teddy lip color. The color is rich, long lasting and does exactly what a matte lip color should do. Thanks MAC! This one's definitely a winner!
