staying power

longlasting

this primer is perfect, doesn't break me out, is light weight, doesn't feel like paste, doesn't settle into creases, keeps everything smooth, my makeup lasts 12 hours without even a struggle

- Macy's User

this one definitely primed my face and helped my foundation look good and stay longer

- Birchbox User

texture

smooth

i loved this one makes my skin smooth and silky and ready for makeup

- Macy's User

it goes on light and smooth, it makes my skin feel incredibly silky, my make-up stays intact all day and it keeps my skin relatively oil free

- Nordstrom User

pore minimizing

pore minimizing

this primer filled in my pores really well and made my skin feel soft

- Birchbox User

i generally have very nice skin - soft, small pores, clear - and my main purpose for buying this was to have a layer between my lotion and my make-up, and so my foundation wouldn't clog my pores

- Nordstrom User

weight

lightweight

it feels very light when you put it on and it helps your makeup stay on all day long

- Nordstrom User

keeps make up fresh and limits oil from shining through, skins feels silky, not caked on with make up

- Macy's User

hydration

hydrating

a word of caution: though it does dry quickly and light, make sure you let it settle into your skin completely before applying your makeup

- Nordstrom User

the lotion is great, and very moisturizing, and the base allows you to put your foundation on smoothly, and evenly

It works!

If you have oily skin this is the primer for you. If you have dry or acne prone skin this may be a problem. I have extreamly dry skin and I felt the primer made it even more dry however it works. My skin was even and smooth and my make up went on perfect. Would I use it everyday...NO This primer feels entirely too thick and clogging for everyday use BUT if you have a hot date, a special event or a big occation BUY IT & USE IT!

best kept secret

Once I bought this product, I don't know how I could have ever applied foundations with out it. This has become a daily staple in my makeup collection! I have combination skin, and can't stress how much this has helped my complection, makeup application, tzone area, and added hours to longer lasting makeup! On bad skin days, I just mix two pumps of the prep + prime with a small drop/pump of my foundation, and I still get a flawless matte finish without the obviously cakey look. On good skin days, I just apply a quick layer to my face and finish with a sweep of powder and blush that sets and lasts all day! I also mix it w/my studio finish concealer to dry areas, under eyes, and even for a lip and eye primer!

L.O.V.E.!!!!!!

i started off with studio fix compact w/t fondation I found a new love that day. love that stuff too, it started the ball rolling to trying mac's full line. i cant believe the quality of everything ive tried. no wonder its used by make up artists and worn by models and on red carpets all the time. I totally love this stuff. i have the pickiest skin ever. its sensitive and dry and oily and gets breakouts..I get it all.. this stuff doesn't give me any problems. it makes my skin smooth.. my skin gets patches. this stuff evens it out and helps ALOT with the redness if not takes it away. (depending on how bad it is that day) i don't wear make up all the time so i thought this stuff would feel heavy but NOPE! it goes on rubs in smooths everything out and makes my mac makeup.(which i only started using on my honeymoon last June of 2010and ill never change. I'm trying everything over time and so far soooo good! mac stays on really well)this stuff makes it even better. love it. it really makes a difference. i always thought primer was just a gimmick Have to say i was totally wrong there. no matter your skin type u should definitely try this stuff its very worth the money. and I've still got my first bottle. i bought this stiff at least 9 months ago. u only need about 3/4 of the size of a pea. IF THAT. seriously don't use more or you'll be simply waisting it. and this is not something u want to waste. its practically worth its weight in gold or more!!!!!. GIVE IT A GO. I BET YOULL LOVE IT. « less

MAC Prep + Prime Skin

I have never used a skin prep and prime before I sampled it in Debenhams. It made my skin feel soft and silky and made all the difference to the appearence of the foundation. MAC Powerpoint eye pencil glides on easily and is smudge proof, great for sensitive eyes. Mac blusher, foundation and powder is great for the mature skin. Plumps the skin making it look dewey and youthful. Clarins bath tonis is fantastic after a long day. It's aromatic oils and fragrance relaxes and eases the day's stresses away.

Irritated my skin and very emulsion based

I really did want this product to work for my skin. I have oily skin and in the summer it only gets worst. I was hoping this would help me stay matte and reduce the appearance of my pores. However, it was not the case. My skin became so dry that it was producing even more oil and my foundation (Match Master) was breaking apart within hours. Went to the store to return the primer and the foundation, but I am glad that I spoke to the helpful attendant. She agreed that this primer has a very emulsified base. Meaning that it can leave a heavy residue and sits on the skin. I got the Radiant Primer instead and kept my Match Master foundation. So much better. My skin is radiant not oily and my foundation is beautiful all day. Being in a very active and involved job having your makeup stay in place is a must. Thank You

Currently searching for products to use on my birthday and I need advice on primers, longwearing foundations, concealers and powders with no flashback. So far I’m interested in trying Charlotte Tilbury’s most recent foundation and the pressed powder. Any luxury recommendations that are worth the splurge and hold up on combo/oily skin? I struggle with a lot of shine mainly between my brows and around my nose :)

I love the new elf putty primer, I use it under every thing including what I use for special occasions I use Mac @Prep + Prime Skin it’s normally like 30 dollars but I got it on sale at ulta because I can’t afford expensive make up most of the time. I use a color wheel for under my eyes and any blemishes then I use @Fit Me Concealer for foundation I use @HD Liquid Coverage Foundation by catrice I mix it with catrice @Prime And Fine Make Up Transformer Drops Waterproof . I love the line catrice because at lot of there stuff is waterproof. Eyebrows I use @Brow Box for powder I use Physicians formula @Powder Palette and at times I use there bb powder, for lips I definitely Cover girl outlast liquid lipstick, my eyes I use urban decay water proof pencil on the top and bottom waterline, then I use they’re black liquid pen on top, whatever eye shadow you choose and I use your fav water proof mascara and I finish off with they’re @De-slick Mattifying Powder and they’re all nighter setting spray. That I promise will keep all your make up in place.

Mac primer! It’s really nice. I got it in a trial size in my Ipsy subscription and I’ve used it so sparingly that I’ve had it for a year 😅

So I ended up going back to ulta and trading for a different foundation and took advantage to cop some other items which I will be trying out tomorrow and hopefully I am able to see if they are good for my skin if not I’ll let it be known 🤭 if any if you have already tried these products feel free to please say what you guys think on them.
