Really Magic for my Fair, Pink Skin!

I didn't know anything about this product, but was looking for a drugstore BB cream. Having heard of the Maybelline version, I actually picked it out first. When I was walking to the checkout, I passed the Loreal section and saw this product. I grabbed it instead (in fair), because I've had good luck with Loreal and my fair, pink skin. When I tried it on the next morning, I was amazed! The white color disappeared when I rubbed it into my skin with fingers, and it was COMPLETELY undetectable. The only difference I noticed between the area where I applied this BB cream and my bare skin was that my blemishes were blurred and my skin was more even and glowy. No product has ever matched my skin better in terms of both shade and texture. I don't feel that it's either oily or dry on my combination skin, and it left a perfectly skin-like texture. It did a very good job of evening out my cystic acne and the resulting dark, purplish scars. All I needed was a small amount of creamy concealer to cover my more pigmented blemishes. I set the concealer with powder, and powdered my nose, but left the rest of my face unpowdered. After spending a day working outside in humid, 95 degree weather, my skin was still nearly perfect. Only the product on my nose had slipped around a bit, but my nose can get pretty oily anyway, and I was taking my sunglasses on and off all day.Overall, I can't say enough good things about this product. I've read that some fair-skinned people found the fair shade to be orange, but I didn't find that at all, and 95% of foundations (at every price point) appear either orange or yellow on my skin. One thing to note, this product contains no SPF. But, if you use a sunscreen in your skincare routine like I do, that shouldn't be a problem. I actually find the texture of products with added SPF to be unpleasant and sticky, so I prefer to use my favorite moisturizer with SPF, and makeup with no added SPF. « less

Best BB Cream I've Tried!

About my skin...In the spring, summer, and fall, my skin is very oily ALL THE TIME. No matter what I do, the oil comes through. I've tried everything - different makeup, different cleansers...sometimes I find something that helps but I've yet to find something that completely fixes the problem. In the winter, my skin is oily in the t-zone but dry and flaky everywhere else which is worse than just oily, in my opinion. So far, there has been nothing that will take care of this issue. If I moisturize prior to putting on makeup, even if it's a light moisturizer only on the flaky areas, I get very oily. If I just put on makeup, it sticks to the flaky skin and looks awful. Moisturizing foundations easily become oily.I also sweat easily and a lot - I work as a nurse and I work 12 hour shifts. I am constantly running around and I work up a sweat. So I need something that will stay around without making me look like a grease ball. When BB creams started becoming popular in the US, I thought they were pretty much glorified tinted moisturizers with anti-aging properties. But I was interested, because there was so much hype involved. I tried many name brands without success. Usually, they made my face greasy or didn't provide any coverage. Then, I found a chart on pinterest that broke down the best BB creams and which ones worked the best for certain things - best moisturizer, best coverage, best for dry skin, etc. According to the chart, L'Oreal Magic Skin Beautifier BB Cream was the best for MY skin - decent coverage without greasiness. So I bought it. I tried it. I LOVED IT.The coolest thing is that it goes on white and as you blend it in, microscopic pigment beads burst and release color. The pigment beads cause the cream to feel slightly gritty, but not unpleasantly so. It blends flawlessly and it absorbs the oil on my face, leaving a perfect matte finish without making me look too dry. It covers most minor imperfections and any added redness or imperfections can be covered with a bit of foundation or concealer. I also apply mineral veil after the BB cream to ensure my skin doesn't look greasy. It moisturizes the dry areas of my face, covers the red areas, and mattifies the oily areas. It also lasts all through a 12 hour shift without melting or running and still looks good when my shift is over.I'm so happy I found this product - it's great for those days where you don't feel like wearing much makeup but you don't want to leave the house "bare" either. Perfect for work - I generally don't feel like doing much to my face at 4am when I'm getting ready. The best part? No one knows I'm wearing makeup (if you even consider it makeup) but everyone tells me I look great and have "a glow".I would recommend this to anyone! « less

Love this BB cream!

I'm 52, fair, semi sensitive skin, with pink undertones. Since I always wear a lotion with a sunscreen, it doesn't bother me that this product has no sunscreen, though I think that might be a stumbling block for some. This BB comes out of the tube white, and then "self-adjusts" to your skin tone, though I admit, the first one of these I tried Light was simply too tan looking for me. The Fair is really perfect, but you have to see what works best for you. I love having vitamin C and E in my facial product, as they are SO good for the skin. The finish on this product is lovely. It didn't hide anything I like about my complexion, such as a few freckles, but it did minimize cheek redness, and corrected the lighter color around my eyes so my face really looks natural. The blending is easy - there is no cakey look to this, and the finish is smooth and matte - though not at all Geisha! It's a subtle, great improvement and I really do recommend this product. Less

I have a very sallow skin tone, in fact, although I'm Hispanic, I usually have to use product colors generally reserved for Asian skin tones. Fighting the dull appearance of my complexion has been a battle since high school so, of course, when I read about this product I had to try it. I have been bouncing between the VitaLift foundation (Sand Beige) and the Youth Code BB Cream (Medium) and, although I like them both, something was missing. It seems that the Magic Skin Beautifier BB cream was it!!!It may seem weird that it starts off as a lavender color, but, once blended, it was a perfect match. Its a bit watery so I was skeptical about having enough coverage for my over 40 skin but, a little goes a long way and it has a very natural but matte look -- dewy finish products seem to just make me look sweaty. In fact, I missed a spot by my nose and, although it blended well and I could not visually see it, it was the only spot on my face sweating -- I could not believe it! I struggle with having a wet face all day in the humidity and just end up wiping all make up off before lunch so, its nice to see that I can look "finished" for a full eight hours. However, despite my complete joy, I originally wasn't going to write a review -- it's not something I usually do -- until I woke up this morning...What a major difference!!! I look rested and fantastic -- my husband even asked me why I have make up on already in my robe. Yes, I washed my face last night and removed all of the product but, it seems that wearing it for only one day has nearly corrected my complexion.I should add that the pores in my T-zone are so large, that those areas look like pieces of orange peel on my skin. After using this product, of course, they are still large, but there is definite improvement where nothing else had made a difference before -- and I have tried it all... Maybe I after using it a while, I can use the money I've been saving for microdermabrasion on a decent weekend away. The only adjustment I am making is to figure out which of the Magic Skin products neutralize purple to try under my eyes. The wonder of genetics has given me straight up purple bruise-looking under-eye circles that no amount of sleep, eye treatments, and/or concealers can remedy -- they usually just make the area look like I smudged ashes under there but, I'll take any coverage I can get... LOLIf you have a hard-to match skin tone, please try this product, it has become a game-changer for me overnight. Less

This products came out the color gray, and as you blend it into your face, it turns to this shade of orange that seems to be competing with Donald Trump’s spray tan- and this was the lightest shade. The formula is really heavy and greasy and made me break out a lot. Despite its thick, grotesque feel, it didn’t actually offer much in terms of coverage. Furthermore, it started breaking down within a couple of hours. Overall, highly disappointed in this product.

This bb cream looks like natural and velvety, It’s very light weight and breathable and does a good job at hiding imperfections like redness. I use this with Australian Gold @Botanical Tinted Face Sunscreen .
