My desert island palette!

One of these days, I'm going to get my passport and go to France. When I do, I'll be taking this palette with me, and I won't have to pay extra baggage fees to carry it!Being the makeup addict I am, I now haul around tons of cosmetics in an organizer basket in my car. That's getting tiresome. This palette may set me free. Yes, I'll still need to carry my lip colors, eye pencils, foundations and mascara, but I can leave a lot of the other stuff at home and still look great on the go.Packaging-the eyeshadows and cheek colors are packaged in a sturdy attractive cardboard-based box. I prefer the paper/cardboard packaging to metal tins, and I think it will hold up well. If you want to be really OCD, you might swipe some ModPodge on it to make it extra waterproof, though I think it will be fine as isThe package has two halves. One side contains six neutral eyeshadows with a nice mirror, and the other has three cheek colors. These are also two decent small eyeshadow brushes which self store. It will easily fit in a normal purse. The eyeshadows are very nice neutral browns/taupes/coppers/grays/creams which would give almost anyone a great "basic" eyeshadow look. I'll accent with one of my bright eye pencils if I want a more colorful look. The shadows have a wonderfully creamy, blendable texture, good staying power, and hit the sweet spot between "too shimmery" and "too matte" with no fallout noted. The cheek colors include a cool saturated matte pink, a slightly shimmery (not glitter) coral, and a nice light bronze. Haven't used the bronze yet, but the pink and coral are lovely and basic. As some have noted, they are highly pigmented, so use a light touch and blend. I'd rather do that than have to build layers! Again, great texture, light feel, and versatile colors. In brief: this is the best neutral palette I've had. It's a great value, portable, versatile, and I can't think of anyone who wouldn't be able to use it. SCORE! « less

Definitely worth it!!!

The eyeshadows have the same amazing quality, texture, and pigmentation as the Lorac Pro Palettes 1 and 2!!! You've got all you need for a quick, complete eye look if you're a big fan of neutrals. Just dip lightly into the eyeshadows and you already get serious color payoff! The blushes and bronzer are also pretty pigmented and since they blend seamlessly it is easy for anyone to do a lil contouring as well! I love the packaging of this product since it has strong magnetic closures and because it is made with sturdy cardboard with a rubberized surface, it will definitely absorb any shock should the palette hit the ground. Although my palette collection has been growing to include other stellar eyeshadows, I know I can rely on the Pro to Go for quick mornings and touch ups throughout the day! I would definitely repurchase this product! « less

Caol Shaw does it again

If you haven't tried LORAC I suggest this palette. If you already love LORAC you'll love this whether you have the original PRO palette or not. This contains a large amount of product. Great colors that have very nice pigmentation, are buttery soft, blend well & stays all day. I do use her Behind the Scenes eye primer as I have oily lids. The brushes in this palette are fairly good when compared to most small brushes. I still prefer to use the brushes I usually do. I have not had to do much touchup. I carry this with an eyeliner, mascara, powder & lip products when I need to go from day to night without a return home. I bought this elsewhere as I didn't realize Ulta had it in stock. I had only seen the other one with the brushes in the store. I already have a ton of brushes. The bronzer looks great on my fair skin & doesn't seem to oxidize. Great value for a quality product. « less

Mixed Feelings

I have mixed feelings about this pallet. I think the shadows are great quality - buttery and easy to blend. The eye look is fairly singular and simple but definitely pretty. With six shadows they could have provided enough variation to really make this a standout but two nudes, three browns and a black is pretty unremarkable and leaves you with really only one or two looks. The blushes were a little tough to blend out but manageable. The bronzer was an absolute nightmare to blend out and is ultimately the reason that I returned this to the store. For the price, all the products really need to be a great quality - pigmented and easy to blend out. I love the size and the concept but those face products need some reformulating.

Travel Holy Grail Product!

I only bought this because I had gift cards to Kohls and it made the price seem not so high. But after using all of the products, I think the listing price is a STEAL of a deal! First these eyeshadows are the smoothest, most buttery texture I've ever purchased and they last super long even without a primer on oily lids! The contour is perfect, and the two eyeshadow highlights can be used for cheek highlights as well, so beautifully. I love both blush shades but I wish they were both matte. The liner brush works great and the black eyeshadow is the darkest black there is and makes a perfect eyeliner. The blending brush that came with it is hard to use for the way i'm used to doing my makeup, so I'm not impressed with it. I hope they continue to produce this product year after year! « less
