- Lauramercier User

my eye shadow stays put and does not crease even with my 8+ hour workday followed by the gym

- Macy's User

hands down the best powder ever, i went into sephora and was debating on getting it, and im soo glad i did its sets the makeup on my face so well, no white residue afterwards it makes my face look super smooth, i have combination skin and it looked really good on mine

- Sephora User

however this product is perfect is a total hero, it sets the foundation and concealer so perfectly and the skin looks so smooth and flawless

- Sephora User

no flashback

oh and there is no flashback with is really key

- Sephora User

no flash back

under eye

good for under eye

the powder is so light and it feels smooth and silky when you apply it, you don’t need much, and you can see that your under eye is brighter but you can’t feel that you’re wearing it, so it’s really lightweight which for a setting powder is key

- John Lewis User

i get bad oily skin around my nose and under my eyes and this definitely does the trick is feel in love and was so thankful my cousin had introduced this to me

- Macy's User

i have very pale skin, so i struggle to get the 'glow' that most people seem to achieve with make-up, however this not only gives the 'soft-focus' effect and really brightens my skin without looking like a ghost but it it really does set my make-up to last longer

- Feelunique User

i love how brightening this is and my makeup holds very well throughout the day

- Sephora User

color accuracy

doesn't oxidize

doesn't cake or oxidize products

- Sephora User

it doesn't change the color of my makeup at all, it doesn't dry my skin, or leave streaks or marks

- Sephora User

i love how lightweight it feels

- Sephora User

works amazingly, doesn't pill up, leave patches, or look cakey

- Sephora User

pore minimizing

pore minimizing

it doesn't emphasize fine lines or pores and doesn't look powdery or ghost like

- Sephora User

it keeps my face on all day long, blurs out my pores, and blends/melts into the skin like a dream

- Sephora User

blends well

i use becca matte primer, nars creamy concelear, a combo of benefits hello flawless foundation and make up forevers mattifying foundation with my beauty blender, anastasia dip brow pomade, urban decay eyeshadow primer makes any eyeshadow and eyeliner look perfect all day, anastasia cream contour with beauty blenders and contour brushes and than set with this powder with a big brush and finish with blush/bronzer, highlighter, and a setting spray

- Sephora User

in other words, after i wash my face, i use an oil control toner>an oil control moisturizer> oil control primer> this setting powder with a beauty blender>foundation> oil control setting spray> and then this powder again with a beauty blender

- Sephora User

color correction

color correcting

i currently use the tarte rainforest liquid foundation and nars concealer along with some urban decay color correcting stuff then after all of that i use my laura mercier loose setting powder with the puff and dab it all over my face

- Sephora User

this and a little color correcting on my hyper pigmentation following my all nighter setting spray is bomb

- Sephora User

it does help my oily skin stay semi-matte throughout the day and keeps my makeup in place

- Sephora User

it sets your foundation like a dream and you are matte almost the whole day, then you get a nice semi-matte look

- Sephora User

medium coverage

with full, medium, or light coverage foundation

- Sephora User

it sets the foundation really well and covers imperfections that a light to medium coverage foundation missed

Brilliant for oily face, suits young & mature skin

Bought this as ive used it before. I did try different makes of translucent powders but have come back to this as i think its the best.I'll be 50 yrs young later in the year. I have oily skin with large pores. I only have larger wrinkles round my mouth as im a smoker, my eyelids have drooped but i only have very very fine creasing under my eyes. I use this powder over my entire and am pleased to report it does not highlight the eye creases infact i think it definately has a diffusing capability as described in its ad. It does create a velvetey finish which looks really natural. it feels like i am not wearing powder. I only wear under eye concealer and a little more round red marks round my nose and a little on the large pores on my chin. I finish with this poder and find my blusher belnds really well over this powder and lasts longer too. I think its great for normal and combination skin. My daughters both use it and they are in their early twenties with normal skin. If you have dry skin i suggest moisturising well to be able to wear a powder.I have severely dry eyes and find powder is fine but a tip is to always close the eyes while applying, this way you aviod any problem irritation from dry eyes. i find it doesnt oxidide on my skin either, i used nude by nature translucent which felt eqaully as nice as this LM powder but after an hour or two it went a shade darker, this LM doesn't.It really does make my face look loads better but with a not obvious make up look. It lasts ages so i think its good value, you dont need much.My only gripe is i do think after paying £29 for this that it should include the puff with it. However the puff is around £15 to buy seperately which i feel is a bit of a rip.other than that one gripe everything else gets top marks in my opinion and please if you are mature give it a try im sure you'd be very pleasantly surprised. Hope this review helps someone. that is the only reason i bother to review as it may help someone decide if they should give the product a go. « less

I believed the hype

Am I the only one who hates this product? I've seen soooo many beauty gurus rave about this powder, so I went ahead and splurged on it, and I really wish I hadn't! I'm so bummed! I have oily skin, especially on the t-zone and cheeks, and girl let me just list off the reasons I hate it: 1. Looks cakey. Texture is suuuuper important to me when I do my makeup, I want to look polished and flawless. I try to buy the right combination of products so that my face looks effortlessly beautiful, and it's a dead giveaway when you can see yellow clumps on your pores. 2. The product does not keep me matte. I don't mind a bit of dewy-ness, especially in the middle of the day when your makeup melts into your skin a bit. But I'll press it into my nose and cheeks, and around hour 4, I still have to blot. What's the point then? I don't mind touch-ups but I still think that's too soon for the amount of powder I put on. Which isn't a ton, but I use a beauty blender to press it into the skin so I don't have to use as much as full baking. Which leads me to point number 3. 3. Transfers onto my glasses. So nasty, there's this oily yellow cakey transfer on the bridge of my glasses, it grosses me out so badly!! I don't know what else to say about that other than just... ew. 4. The product is not finely milled enough for my tastes, which I think is a big reason as to why it gets so cakey and clumpy throughout the day. I've tried to use it to set my under-eye area, but it just ends up exaggerating my fine lines and I'm only 26. I'm still on the hunt for something more finely milled so that I don't end up creating wrinkles with daily makeup. 5. The packaging is garbage, it's cracked in 2 places and I literally have to hold the lid threading into place so that the sifter doesn't fall off the container. I think I've had the product for 6 months now? ANYWAY, you get the idea. Not my cup of tea. I'm sure it works great for other people, but I hate it. Total waste of money and I probably can't return it on account of the busted packaging. If I had more than two thumbs to put down, they'd be down to the ground. <span class="shop__a pd-reviews__translate-span">« less</span>

Holy Grail & Application Technique for Breakouts

So, a while back, my foundation was slipping on my face and coming off. I tried everything, and then I came across a Wayne Goss video (God bless his soul) that showed how to buff the powder into your skin BEFORE foundation and to use a velour puff to put it on top of the foundation again. The video is down below! I know it sounds mental, but it WORKS and you won’t look cakey if you do it right. He uses the NARS in his video but I decided to try this one instead since the NARS is extremely light reflecting and that is NOT what I need (I take a lot of flash photos). I can tell you one thing right now: I’m FLIPPING ASTONISHED. So I use the Sephora Mini Multitasker Brush ($15 and PERFECT for this) and I brush it into my skin vigorously before foundation. With the my foundations (Clinique Even Better and MUFE Ultra HD) it does actually last all day. With the Clinique it even stopped transferring! I could scratch my face and NOTHING would come off. A-MAZED. I also use a velour puff to put another layer of powder on top of the foundation for extra protection. If you don’t do this all correctly: it could end up looking cakey, so you have to be careful. Take your beauty blender and stipple it on top of the final layer if you think it looks too cakey. What I’ve found is that my nose would still get oily no matter how much I put but that’s not the powders fault (hormones) but it did delay the shiny nose. Another tip: Stop concealer from creasing under eyes by wiping away the product build up in the creases with your pinky finger and putting a little bit of this product of the tip of a brush and swiping it there. No more creases. ACNE: I also have a PSA for anyone dealing with ACNE and how this product and technique helped me with it: by absorbing every bit of oil this product comes in contact with on my skin underneath the foundation, I stopped breaking out. No, like I haven’t broken out in a week and a half and I haven’t been this clear since I was 11 and I’m 16 now. This actually saved my skin - this product and putting it on before foundation. Breakouts occur when oil mixes with dead skin cells and the "P. Acnes" bacteria SO if you use Benzoyl Peroxide for the bacteria, Salicylic Acid for the dead skin cells and this powder for the oil: you’ll notice significantly less breakouts, close to none. I’m drop dead serious: give all that a try. Make sure the Salicylic Acid is in the right pH (Check Beautypedia) A little off topic towards the end there but all in all, BUY THIS POWER. It gives you a TON of product for the price and you DEFINITELY won’t regret it. Holy grail for me (: <span class="shop__a pd-reviews__expand-link pd-reviews__translate-span" data-hide="-312461164159793898-full" data-show="-312461164159793898-short" jsaction="pdui.tvc">« less</span>

At first I was skeptical about buying this powder. Mainly because of the price tag, and also, a lot of people who review this product say it's for oily skin. I don't even like powders because of my dry skin. I have good skin, clear but dry with some minor imperfections. I've been using this powder for about two weeks now and I am in love with it. It's a HG and staple item in my makeup routine, whether on light or heavy makeup days. Usually my everyday makeup routine is just concealer under the eyes and cheeks, on top of moisturizer. I apply this on top of my concealer with a beauty blender (I actually use a RT miracle complexion sponge which imo is better than the original BB. Using a sponge to apply this powder is really the way to go in my opinion. I get such a lovely finish. My face seems to glow and looks natural, it blurs out any dryness and pores. Without it my concealer probably would come off by the end of the day because my skin seems to like eat my makeup so it looks like I'm wearing none by the end of the day. With this powder my face looks so fresh for like 12 hours. After I press this on my face with a sponge I like to dust it all over lightly with a fluffy powder brush. This works well with a full face of makeup too, sometimes you can still tell if I have makeup on because it clings to my dry patches on my face but with this powder on top of everything I get a satin velvety finish. You honestly won't know you need tie product until you see it on your face. I would definitely recommend this product. Only thing I'd say about it is that I'm always carrying it in my bag so it does get kind of messy, obviously because it's a loose powder. If you travel with it just make sure you are careful when opening it. <span class="shop__a pd-reviews__translate-span">« less</span>

I used to use Coty Airspun powder, and I still do sometimes when I don't want to use my LM one. I loved my Airspun. It was quick to put on for a bake, it set my face but it always looked a little heavy and if I put just the tiniest bit to much, I got really Cakey. My Airspun was oil controlling, gave a little extra coverage, my concealer didn't crease for a long time, and it was my holy grail and I promised myself that I'd never spend no $38 on a powder that works "just as good". And unfortunately some promises get broken. When I was at Sephora a month ago, I was pressured into buying this powder, but I got the Travel sized one just to make sure I liked it before I committed to buying the whole thing. I immediately fell in love with this powder the first time it touched my face. It wasn't like Airspun where it would just sit on my skin to bake, this powder actually sunk into my skin just setting the makeup perfectly. This powder NEVER looks Cakey or heavy, it's extremely oil controlling, and unlike Airspun where my concealer would crease after about 8 or 10 hours of wear, this powder NEVER made my concealer crease and I've even slept in this and woke up looking awesome. This powder is bullet proof. It makes your skin look matte, but not dull, dry, or cakey. It just look's amazing and can make any non long wearing makeup last all day long. I immediately went the next day and purchased the full sized container because I knew this was it. I definitely will repurchase over and over again. This is 110% worth the money!! They could have maybe thrown the puff in for the $38 price tag, but hey no complaints! « less
